Fast and quick! Replaced new tire due to a nail quickly and no cost because I got the replacement coverage.

Recently I took my car here (where I've gotten tires multiple times in the past) to have my tire pressure censors replaced. I came here because their quote was nearly half what my regular mechanic quoted. That's the only good part. I brought my car in and was told the service would take about 45 minutes. It was returned to me in only about 30 minutes, which I thought was a positive at the time....would later discover this was more a sign of trying to do a job too fast and not getting it right. When I picked up my car, I was told the low tire pressure dash light would stay on for another 20 minutes and then reset and turn off, and that my display would return to showing the pressure readings in all tires.....not true. I drove the car home to Atascadero...light stayed on and censors still not showing pressures. I later ran an errand to Santa Maria (at least 60 min round trip)....censors still not reset. I had to drive back to their location in Paso to have them address it; turns out the technician did not push the reset button that's under the steering column. Then, the next day, two of my tires were nearly flat. My husband checked and both were leaking air, which he said was because the valve stems were not tightened enough, something the store can only do properly. So back again I go (now third trip for same issue). The front desk staff said they would inspect all four tires and address any issues found. They tried to return it after addressing only one of the tires that had been leaking air. It was only after my husband insisted AGAIN that they check all of the tires, which they finally did and agreed there was a second tire that was leaking air. Given that I was trading in the vehicle that very week (for a new car purchase) and needed a dash without warning lights, this repeated failure to do a thorough job caused me so much stress that I will never return here for any servicing again. Clearly the staff are not fully attentive to (and trying to rush through) their tasks. read more

Stopped in due to a tire pressure signaling it was low. I found a nail in the middle, came in and fixed it no problem. They did try to sell me more tires and wipers. After done I drove off and notice my tire pressures were not balanced as the normally check before a customer drives off. read more

My last order kind of got messed up due to another store selling the tires I ordered. The store manager, Joshua, made things right by providing me in stock tires at no extra charge. On 12-24-25, my family and I were heading back to Bakersfield. My wife noticed a funny sound while driving home, and it turns out the trailer tire was ripped and about to burst. We were able to change the tire with the help of AAA. My wife wanted to get tire replaced with the new tire. I panicky called American Tires and the manager answered. I asked the store hours, since it was Christmas Eve, they closed at 1pm. We were there in 15 minutes. The team at American Tires were truly amazing and showed a sense of urgency! Not only they were able to fix the tire but took time and effort to replace the other tires needing a replacement! Sitting here waiting for a tire repair! At one point not one car was in the service bays. Lots of employees doing nothing. A few working. I was told 45 min to an hour and it's been nearly 30 minutes and they haven't even taken my car in. Who is in charge? I see people coming in getting air checks and they are able to help them right away. I was also told they may not be able to repair. If that is the case I would like to know in a reasonable period of time! Not impressed at this point! I will follow up with a better review when service is completed. read more

I've purchased 14 tires here in the last 3 months. 4 on my daughter's Accord, 2 on my wife's Edge, 4 on my Camry, 4 on my Tacoma. Last visit SLO put the Tacoma on the lift and removed all tires only to determine they had only 2 tires available. They tried to sell me a cheaper tire but instead went to Paso where I waited 1.25 hours before they started on the second set of two. Yesterday I called Americas Tire to discuss 4 more tires and told them I would be there at 8:10am and they mentioned they start tires at 8:30. No worries. Paying cash and needed 4 tires on my mom's Camry. But after waiting another 1.5 hours I've come to the conclusion that they did not make an "appointment" for me and that you SHOULD NOT come here unless you have a set appointment in stone. Typically pretty good to work with, just make an appointment. In this case I called Big Brand Atascadero and they accommodated as soon as I arrived 10 min later. read more

Had an appointment at 12. Walked in 5 minutes early. Was not greeted. The bathrooms are a disaster. Garbage cans overflowing already at noon. If they have a cleaning service it seems like they have not cleaned in a week. Not a professional location anymore. read more

I am a little late with this post but my experience at America's Tire was wonderful. I had a slow leek in a tire and A.D. walked me through the process. It was eventually ruled a flat and was patched. It is American Brand's policy to fix flats for free. Yet while I was waiting, I took the opportunity to observe the activity in the shop. Amazing. Never seen this much activity in an auto repair scenario. Everyone moving and active. No one standing around. I watched them take care of 3 cars before they got to me. I was a walk in. I've been coming to this American Tire location in the Lowe's shopping center in Paso Robles for over a decade. Unfortunately, I've noticed a real decline in customer service over the past few years. I was always used to exceptional service here, so this change feels significant enough to mention.I'm not sure if management has changed, but there are many new faces, and it feels like a complete staff turnover. There are longer wait times in line without any acknowledgment, and longer waits when pulling up for tire service. Additionally, the staff doesn't seem as knowledgeable about tires, warranties, and related details as they used to be, so I recommend doing your own research beforehand.In the past, there were exceptional employees who took the time to explain everything thoroughly. It seems like the new team could really benefit from additional training. I hope this location can get back to the level of service it was once known for. read more

I went in to have my tires filled due to a low pressure warning light. The mechanic asked if he can just inspect my tire which had only 10k miles on it. I'm very lucky that he did, because he found, and showed me, the defect in the sidewall of the tire. Luckily he found this. 3 weeks ago my boyfriend had his tires rotated at this place. Driving that they he noticed tire pressure light is on. He checked tire pressures and all tires had proper pressure, but light wouldn't go away. So few days later he took back to this place. They told he needs a pressure sensor replaced in one of his tires and they offered do the job it and cost him $82. Yesterday we developed a leak while driving on the 46 E as soon as we could, we got down to America's tire at around 5:50 PM. Johnny was right there to help us and after checking our tires told us that it was the safest bet to just replace the tires because they were very worn.. we went inside very quickly and he gave us 10 different options. Usually, I like to do research, but he was really good at explaining each one and why each choice cost what it did. We decided to put the tires that originally came on our vehicle on there and he was really good about giving us every possible discount to keep the price very reasonable. We were out of there within a half an hour at 6:20 PM.. it wasn't just that that he and the other person working there last night were really nice and really accommodating and it just felt like the absolute right thing to do. We are not from here, we got a flat on our way up to Pismo. Heard it was the best place in town. We walked in and Austin seen us, didn't even acknowledge that we were here so horrible customer service. Really felt like he had it out cuz of our race. But none the less Dalton came to the rescue. Super friendly and great customer service. Waited over 3 hrs for one tire. While watching Austin and another employee goof off and help there own preference of customers and friends. Literally if it wasn't for Dalton and the fact that we needed a tire we would have never came here. 5 stars for Dalton. I am usually a Discount Tire fan. I've bought well over 20 good quality tires from them the past ten years. Unfortunately the time management and customer service at this location is poor. I went in for a tire rotation and balance with a promise completion time of 1000 hours. I returned at 1010 hours and the vehicle was not completed or even started. I observed other vehicles being worked on that arrived after me. I guess once they have your payment, customer service is out the door. With a tight schedule that most people have, this was very disappointing. read more
