No frills no thrills. Quick service, even when busy. Good prices. A bench or some other improved seating while waiting would be nice.

I needed new tires before a long day trip. I showed up at 8:00 am on a Saturday. Great service, walked to the bakery for some coffee cool spot. read more

Do not go here! Left my car in the parking lot overnight to get a tire changed because I had a flat tire earlier in the day. Came back the next morning to my window shattered, car was broken into, and everything inside was stolen. When asking the workers what happened, they said it was like that when they got to work that morning. Didn't think to call the police, me, or anyone. Just left my car out in the open, glass everywhere. Btw I'm 18 and had to deal with this all by myself and the workers were nothing but rude. read more

My friend and I were road tripping to Pinnacles from LA and unfortunately hit a large rock thirty minutes from the trailhead that badly damaged the rim of my front right tire. We were in the middle of nowhere but luckily had reception. After Triple A put on the temporary tire, we found that most tire shops were closed because it was Sunday morning and the shops that were open said they had to order rims that wouldn't arrive for days, which wasn't ideal since we needed to drive home to LA that evening. Finally, we called Cuevas Tires and spoke with Rafael who confidently told us he could take care of us. He was very professional and patient and took the time to talk to both of us, which was really reassuring. We drove up to Salinas and he greeted us, evaluated the problem, and took care of us right away all in about 30 minutes or so. The prices were very fair and the car looked great. It was such a relief! We made it back home to LA safe and sound the same day. read more

Buen servicio! muy amables! Best place around town to get your cars checked. Service is great, everyone is nice and professional

Took some tires i bought online & they installed them for a low price. Had me out in less than 30min & the service was great!

I was happy with my new tires (cheap tires but for the price I'm not complaining) what I was disappointed about was, I told them I want to keep my front 2 tires being that they still had some life. They said no problem we will keep them for you. I came back to pick up my car I was happy with the new wheels but the tires I told them to hold on for me where not there. I asked them about them and they said they where no good (I checked all 4 before hand, front where good, back ones where gone.) I asked them it's all good I still want the front ones, they took me to the back and told me to look for them. "Wtf" they told me to look for my tires in a pile of tires. Then the guy had the pair to ask me "well do you have pictures of the tires", who takes pictures of tires? Luckily I'm a car guy so I take pictures of my cars all the time so I told the guy in Spanish "yes, yea I do" he didn't like that. My tires are COOPER tires! 205,45,17! And I know used they are still worth some money. (Run flat tires) I know they are planning to resell the tires it's cool part of business but don't bull sh*t your customers and tell them your going to save them give them your word and not fallow through... just not cool thanks for the new tires but disappointing service. Be honest to your customers it will take you a long way. ( we're a Hispanic community instead of helping each other, we screw each other over, sad truth) .. I wasn't going to post anything, but I had to get it out of my chest. read more

A tire popped on us from Monterey to Salinas. Stopped at a gas station and looked at the first listing for tires on google, "Cuevas Tires". Do not judge E. Alisal St. because this guy said come on over I will take care it. I got there and he took care of me, and 2 other guys at the same time. Literally, he was done changing my tire and giving me a MATCH within 15 mins. He was the "REAL DEAL," and REASONABLE!!!!. Don't get ripped off in Monterey. Go to CUEVAS TIRES. They had a lot a brand new tire brands in stock too! I will now go there for all tire needs!! Forget Costco! read more

I came in today to get a set of rims and tires and I left a very satisfied customer. I purchased the Versus VS24 18" wheels in gloss black and my vehicle looks stunning. After I made the purchase out of curiosity I compared prices with other places online and I must say that Cuevas Tires has very competitive prices. The service was excellent and the price was right. I would definitely recommend this place and I will surely come back. read more

Found out we had a gash in our tire early afternoon on a Sunday in Monterey. We were on our way to LAz Called around and found a Firestone in Salinas that had the tire and could help us fix our one tire but we might have to wait a couple of hours. After driving over to the Firestone they could not locate the tire but recommended us to Cuevas Tire. We were able to get a new tire for $80 in under an hour. Highly recommend! read more

Good price on tires, friendly service, and quick installation. Was in and out of the shop in 45min!

This tires shop has honest prices and does the work while you wait. They do not try to sell you things you don't need like other tires shops. If you are looking for inexpensive tires for an older car this is the place for you. read more

These guys do an amazing job! Fast and efficient. Went in to repair a flat tire which the entire set needed to be replaced soon. They inspected all four tires and patched one that didn't need it. When I pointed out the tire that was flat, they said it was too worn to be patched. Didn't want to charge me anything for the work. I asked about replacing all four specialty tires, 235/45/20 and their price was far below any I had priced online and had it in stock. Price quoted was exactly what I paid. No additional nickel and diming added to the cost, and saved more than half what I planned to spend with online retailer and local installer at around $1000. I will consider them my first choice when looking for tire work in the future. read more

Best team ever ! They go out of there way to make sure u get what u want at the best price in salinas. Gracias I appreciate your help.

The day this place patched my tire for free was the day I became a frequent customer. They have the lowest prices on tires. My suggestion is to get a price quote on high quality tires elsewhere and see if Cuevas carries (or can order) them. If they don't, you can still swing by here for their low cost tire rotations and tire repair. read more

Thank You! All the Guys at Cuevas Tires were really nice, fast service and great price. I am on a road trip from L.A. & got a flat tire close by. How could we have hoped for a better experience? Flat tire on a Sunday, needing to drive 300miles home, all the tire repair stores in Monterey closed. Yelp got us here & they really earned a 5 star rating. Richard spoke almost no English but expertly removed the tire, found the nail & patched the tire - all in about 15 minutes & charged all of $12!
