Daniel was very punctual! I called him distressed because i locked my keys in my apartment. He was able to let me know the price and the time he would be able to get there (which was in 10 mins). I had a simple lock and he unlocked it in seconds! He gave me a cool keychain to remember him by! Thanks again Daniel. You're a life saver! read more

Daniel the locksmith was great! After I replaced door hardware on 4 doors myself there were serious alignment issues. I reached out to him but I had to cancel due to my schedule. When I got back in touch he was able to come over next day. Charged less than his quote/estimate. Super friendly/great work/ responsive! read more

Fabulous locksmith - quick response and very fair prices. He was patient and persistent dealing with a high security lock which he was able to remove and replace. His replacement was not a high security one but it works perfectly and I am grateful. I highly recommend him. read more

Daniel is amazing! He showed up quickly, and promptly got our door open without destroying the lock and the door!

Daniel is always friendly and comes faster than he estimates which is great when you're waiting to get into your house. He's fast, efficient, and straightforward. When I got locked out twice in one week (after replacing a doorknob on my own with what turned out to be a faulty lock) he replaced the inside of the doorknob for me so I didn't have to get a whole new thing and copies of keys. Definitely recommend Daniel. He knows what he's doing and doesn't waste any time to get you where you need to be (inside the damn house!) read more

We called Daniel after the sudden realization that our front door had not been locking for who knows how long. Daneil came out that evening, gave an honest assessment, and took care of the problem then and there for a fair price. He was thorough and efficient, and left us feeling we called the right person. We highly recommend Daniel for anyone looking for a trustworthy professional to help with locksmith needs. read more

Finding a trusted locksmith is difficult and can be a nerving process. Daniel makes this process as comfortable and streamlined as possible. His prices are fair and he does a great job. While he came out to install a new lock on our front door, he was kind enough to help realign another lock in the house that needed adjusting, for free. I highly recommend Daniel for any locksmith work. read more

Just used Daniel again, but this time he sent his partner, Yoni. Yoni is just as professional and easy to work with as Daniel. I think this is the third or fourth time I've called Daniel (I have some rental properties) and they're great to work with. You'll want to lock yourself out just to hang with these guys :) read more

What a gem! Daniel replied immediately, was quickly available for all follow up questions, and did fabulous job. I highly recommend. Thanks so much, Daniel! read more

Amazing dude and even better locksmith! Helped me out in record time, and was also the most affordable option! 10/10 would recommend!

We needed to change two locks on our doors same day... and Daniel came to the rescue. He is lightning fast, reasonably priced, and so courteous! He even fixed a door that was sticking which had been plaguing us for months. It had nothing to do with the lock change - he just saw the issue and when he was finished showed us the fix (no charge). Great guy! 100% reliable and trustworthy as well. He also gave great info on various smart locks and their installation when I asked. We'll definitely be using him for all our future locksmith needs. He's the third locksmith we've needed in 5 years... and he's a keeper. :-) read more

Called and got a response within an hour. Technician was able to come by and help with a lock out. Yoni was quick and efficient. They are reasonable with their pricing. Would definitely look for them if we ever need a locksmith again. read more

Daniel is amazing!! I have used quite a few locksmiths in Oakland now, but I am saving Daniel's number and using him from now on out! He is EXTREMELY professional. He came within 15 minutes of me calling him, and was very kind over the phone and in-person. As he helped with my lock, he would let me know what he was doing which made me feel comfortable with his process. He was relatively quick for everything that he did for me! His prices are standard and good for the quality of service. Daniel will give you a fair deal--he is definitely not trying to rip you off (and I have been ripped off in the past)! Highly recommend Daniel to anyone needing service. Thank you Daniel!! read more

We purchased a new home and wanted the locks re-keyed. Daniel was able to come at the exact time I needed. He showed up on time, I showed him which locks, and he got straight to work. He completed the work quickly, showed me the keys worked on all of the locks, and even went above and beyond with a 'freebie' on a really difficult french door lock. Super friendly, quality service, and even a fun little surprise attached to his business card he gives you at the end. Daniel, you're the man! read more

Daniel the locksmith is the Man! Quick reliable and fair. Needed home re-key. Serviced same day in Oakland. Very happy with the service.

Daniel was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I just bought our first home and wanted to have the locks rekeyed. Upon reaching out to Daniel he responded to us quickly, provided a great estimate, and was able to do same-day service. When he arrived, he was super friendly, too. Super nice guy. Quick professional and friendly. Will use again. Arrived super fast which was great cuz I was locked out.

Before he even arrived at my door or we met, Daniel was by far the kindest and utmost in customer service of the locksmiths I contacted. I annoyingly locked myself out on Saturday morning, so after hours for my property management company to agree to come help. My phone battery was dying and I was frustrated with the rough answers from others rattling off what city they were based in and the per hour a charge, instead of telling me as I asked: an estimate of how long it would take them to get to my location and transparent estimated cost. Daniel said he would be there within ten minutes - and he was, precisely - and the exact cost for the two doors. Then he kindly suggested I call around for a neighbor to let me in so that he could save me the trouble and cost of the second door. He easily could have charged me for that rather than being honest, and later apologized that he quoted me just $5 more than the actual charge. I forgot to use the Yelp discount that I saw when I found him, but I don't mind paying a fair price for amazing customer service and his time. He actually had another appointment close to my emergency, but was so skilled and efficient that it was no problem. Still, I'm amazed he came out to help me given he had to be in San Francisco shortly. I hope I don't stupidly lock myself out again and therefore need him to come back, but I'm certainly going to turn to him if so and tell all of my friends and neighbors of his honest, kind service. read more

Daniel is a wonderful locksmith and a really great guy. He prefers to speak on the phone vs. email, and promptly responded to my email with his contact information and availability. We scheduled an appointment for the next day, he was on time, friendly, and even went to the nearby convenient store to pick up batteries once I realized the automatic deadbolt needed them and I was all out of AAs. I originally requested he rekey 4 locks and install an automatic deadbolt. He realized I was planning on waiting to rekey the 5th lock and offered to do it at no additional cost. He was done in under 90 minutes (including the run to the store for batteries!) and taught me how to add and delete codes from the automatic deadbolt. The cherry on top? Daniel noticed that my front gate was not latching correctly and he fixed that as well :) Thanks Daniel! We will definitely be recommending you in the future. Glo and Guacamole the dog read more

This guy is a savior! Here's the story. I lost my bike key on my way home from work so I was unable to unlock my U-Lock and my bike was stuck! I was too tired to search for a locksmith so I left my bike, where it sat, overnight at West Oakland Bart (NOT recommend). Lo and behold, my bike was missing it's back wheel (sadness) by 8 AM the next morning. At this point I was frantically searching Google for a locksmith who would be willing to break my U-lock to release my bike. I gave Daniel a call and he agreed to meet me at West Oakland Bart. He arrived right on time and he was super professional. This guy has a full electric saw in the back of his van! He brought out the saw and cut through steel in under 5 minutes. I was amazed and relieved that my (violated) bike was finally free! Yay. Moral of the story, Daniel is awesome & I totally recommend his services. The End. read more

My goal is to always look for local and small or family businesses first, in Oakland. After reviewing the many positive yelps, I decided on giving Daniel, the Locksmith a try. Really enjoyed working with Daniel, as he is very skilled at what he does and very respectful. Feeling comfortable with workers you invite to your home is a MUST in this day and age. Supporting our Oakland small businesses is very important to me. read more

If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Daniel is friendly, fair, honest, and explained to me what was wrong and how we was going to fix it. After a shoddy install by contractors a couple years ago, we've been "pulling to lock," and "pushing to unlock" for some time... then last nite the lock cylinder literally fell out the front door when I closed the door. I called Daniel this morning who was able to accommodate a day of appointment- in under 30 minutes he quickly solved both issues. He even gave me a discount on the alignment needed because it wasn't extensive! A true specialist and gentleman, Daniel the Locksmith is the real deal! read more

You. Guys. This fella is super! Got my locks rekeyed before moving in - was easy to make an appointment after work and he was prompt with a call when on the way. Not only did he do a great job but he gave some good advice and explained even tho something was loose there was no security risk so he could change if I wanted to look better but I didn't really need to. All and all it took about 25 mins, was well priced, and I've now got one master key for all the doors in my place. Also, he is just sooooo effing adorable which is nice. read more

Cool guy. My boss had her house keys stolen from her car in a locked gated condominium complex last night and she is pretty sure she heard the person checking the lock on her front door in the middle of the night. Scared, she stayed home from work and found Daniel on Yelp. He came and needed a key to change the lock. She didn't have one and called me. Daniel waited patiently for me, as I was coming from Union City. He didn't charge her extra. Soon as I walked in, my puppy went running up to him and I thought oh god he's going to freak out but he was really cool and was petting him and dog-talking him. Major points for that. Very kind, professional and friendly. The whole thing was really reasonably priced. He was done within 20 minutes. Highly recommend. read more
