Morgan,my amazing hairdresser, has given me such great service, as well as a super update to my look. People compliment me continuously on my color which I believe makes me look younger. Dame on my actual haircut and style. She's really helped me by styling my hair so it's much longer in length (hooray), without it looking like a big, dried out puffball. I have wavy, thick hair that can look like a bowl cut with weird skinny strands hanging down, if it isn't cut properly into a layered style. Morgan has been able to layer it beautifully, so whether it's curled, straightened or just natural- It. Looks. Great. She's also a lovely, fun person and I really like her. The time goes by so quickly...if I win the lottery she is going to seeing a LOT MORE of me! Plus she gives a delicious, spine relaxing scalp massage...oh yeah. Everyone I've met at the salon seems pleasant and professional. It's made the atmosphere enjoyable but each station's space is respected. You are with your stylist and they are solely focused on YOU. The salon could be given another coat of paint (something more eastern inspired to match the somewhat Indian theme) but other than that it's a relaxed, clean, funky place.

I visited this pretty salon for Hair cut, Scalp massage and styling. Situated in a calm and beautiful area (near university), this salon is beautifully set up from inside with the rustic touch. I really loved the big waiting area where wooden benches are places with colourful cushions. It made the whole place vibrant. Being my first visit here, I did not have any preference of hair stylist. I used Groupon for this service. My hair styling was done by Morgan. I chose layered hairstyle and service was well provided by Morgan. But surprisingly, when i went back to home and did the ponytail, i observed the layering was not done properly on the right side. I called the Salon back about the problem and they asked me to come back. I went to the Salon next day and i discussed and showed the issue with layering on right side. They fixed the problem easily and i was happy that i got this solved without any hassle.

I LOVE coming to Dandy for Spa services! I love that they have two different massage techniques available: deep tissue and cranial sacral massage. It's truly amazing to experience both! The best surprise is when I got the essential facial. Not only did I leave refreshed and with glowing skin, but I also receive a neck and should massage, AND a hand, arm, and foot massage...WHAT! So worth it to pamper yourself! They also have express spa and salon services. There is no excuse to not treat yourself. Under 30 minutes under $30! Brilliant! My favourite is the glow facial! Amazing, comfortable and friendly service and atmosphere, but wait! Did you know that they received the award for Edmonton's BEST waxing services! Paula and the crew are amazing! I usually break out and so I have been doing threading but they did not seem work. And since have light eyebrows, I could never get a nice defined line. Paula waxed and shaped my eyebrows. Totally quick. I didn't believe she was done! AND no breaking out. Paula does do threading as well for uber sensitive skin. And apparently the BEST Brazilian in town! Oh ya! Next time you need to pamper yourself or feel a little Dandy, you need to go here!

First detox and sweat to cleanse your skin and mind of all the funk, then relax into your massage or facial (which I truly enjoyed! & to that... let me add that I am a spa/wellness consultant! ) Valerie has an angelic touch! Loved my ageless facial, she used Phyto5 and Osmosis products. My skin looks radiant and firm! Came to Edmonton for a wedding but for those that live here... make the Wellness on Whyte a regular spot in your life!

As a long time client for 8 years, who has been personally asked this year to give a "testimony"…read morefor the website...I am sad to say, Wellness on Whyte has become toxic and unprofessional. I am no longer recommending them. They use to be different, and have changed... Bullying, defaming character, playing games, lying... not a way to keep your business alive by allowing staff to treat people with frequent relational aggression, etc without addressing professionalism. Reason #1 to avoid Wellness: If a spa is not toxic, Practitioners should not be constantly bullying clients into getting less services by devaluing their pain and disabilities. WOW staff are taking their personal problems out on their clients. It's actually been difficult to adjust to being treated professionally at other businesses/clinics... being respected, listened to, and valued feels odd... that's how toxic Wellness has become. I've felt such relief since I've stopped supporting WOW... you actually get treated well at other businesses/clinics! "No, I still need weekly treatment, means no, I still need weekly treatment." Clients should not have to say this over and over. As my physiotherapist remarked, clients should not have to validate their chronic pain to you, it's your job to listen. Initially, I gave them a chance to remedy it, however, in the end, I can't trust a place of business with my pain that supported this unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from an RMT. When I was not well enough one week to get specific feedback to the massage therapist right away, I was told she no longer wanted to work with me. After 8 years of trusting someone, it was a shock. I broke the silence about unprofessionalism, and was fired as a client for it. Unsettling. Reason #2 to avoid Wellness: As another example, the STAFF centred care has become out of control... Products should not be taken off the shelf so you can't buy them and placed back out later. I started buying online so the staff could not lie to me about how much was left of a particular facial product... it's truly unprofessional. Wellness on Whyte has become unprofessional and has come away from client centred care. It's sad. One of the causes may be that the practitioners themselves use the products and services of Wellness, which is already a very small business. Wellness has limited appointments! When the practitioners see you booking services in advance, they become upset. The business model is flawed: It is another reason why it's become toxic. You can't have practitioners pressuring clients to cancel other appointments they genuinely want and need because they themselves want the services/ are horse trading with other practitioners in Wellness. If Wellness was not allowing their practitioners to "horse trade" services etc within the company, then there wouldn't be practitioners competing with clients for appointment spots. Again, highly unprofessional. Reason #3 to avoid Wellness: The more money you spend here, the more jealous the staff becomes and the meaner they get. It's bad business to let your staff bully your best clients. The LESS money you spend here, the MORE they will respect you. A clinic where the staff get a mean attitude when you give them more business, is not a place to be. In conclusion, I never thought after years of supporting this business that they would shift in such an unprofessional direction. They even somehow got my review removed from another platform, which is why I had to post on Yelp, where they cannot manipulate my review. Interesting how they do business here.... I wouldn't trust them with your credit card either, as they will charge you for half your appointment cost, even when you had unavoidable sickness or emergencies. They will waive the cost one time, and not again. The new polices allow them to rip you off, and it will cost you even if you don't get a reminder they were supposed to send. It's truly shocking how much the money matters most here, and yet on the other hand, the more money you spend, the more they treat you mean out of jealousy. Very unprofessional. My advice? Spend your money somewhere they actually want you to! LOL

I popped into Southgate Centre and took a gander at that cute salon I walk past every time I'm there. I was just a walk-in, but they were able to see me pretty quickly. The receptionist even offered to hang up my jacket, even though I wasn't going to be there very long. My stylist was nice, although she didn't say much. We had a bit of confusion over the length and style that she would be cutting. They looked fine when I left the salon, but when I got home, I realized it was the kind of haircut that only looks good when it's first cut. As soon as I brushed through my bangs or moved them in any way, they had a terrible, choppy look to them. It was not good. I ended up fixing them myself at home. I won't be back for a cut, although props to the friendly customer service from the gals at the front.
