I came on here to write a review on my experience, but I definitely wish I went on yelp and read everyone else's reviews before going first. We were a party of 6 that came in this past Saturday. The hostess told us that the wait was going to be 25 minutes, but we ended up waiting for over an hour for our table. When we finally got to our table, they took us to the back where there were PLENTY of empty tables. Makes you wonder why in the world it took so long for us to get seated. After we were seated, we didn't see our waiter for over 20 minutes until I flagged someone down and asked where our waiter was. She eventually came to take our drink/food orders but after that we never saw her again. I had to flag someone else down to get our bill. Gratuity was already included on the bill but it was definitely undeserved. Terrible experience. One star is the lowest I am able to give them. 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more

We came here to celebrate a birthday. I won't be returning anytime soon. We arrived at 3 and one of the orders hit the table at 5pm. Ummm nope not cute. The waitress took our orders almost an hour after we arrived. We had a group of 17, 2 of the orders were wrong and one came out really late as I stated. No apologies. I had one butter for a baked potato and a hard piece of cornbread. Nope not cute. No ketchup for the French fries either. Of course we asked for these things but they didn't arrive. This location is one of my favorite ones in the Bronx, mainly because I don't have to travel to Manhattan to get my Texas sized drinks and crispy wings LOL. I've been to this location a couple of times and this restaurant is slightly bigger than the locations in Manhattan. The slight issue I have is that the bathroom is on the upper level. Not a good idea if you've had one of their Texas sized drinks and you have to go pee LOL. Aside from that, I will be back at this location soon. read more

A winner every time. Whenever I want some awesome, man-sized cocktails, I'm coming to BBQs. The honey chicken is so food! I always order an extra side of honey to dip my fries. The henny colada is my fav but there are a bunch of yummy frozen cocktails to choose from and most of them come with an extra shot of liquor. The service is usually pretty fast and the food comes out quickly. The servings are huge so I always leave with some food for later. My only critique is that they play the music so loud now it feels like a club but my kids actually liked it and got up to dance lol. Overall, a good experience. read more

Adequate amount of parking, and a new facility is always a plus. Not a big fan of the bathroom being located upstairs. Our server delivered an ok experience she was very familiar with the menu and helped us pick out some good drinks but not so good on a meal that we split. My drink was a mix of the pineapple crush amd the Strawberry daiquiri which was a great mix. My fiance had a blueberry frozen long island which was good as well. Now onto the food,we couldn't resist so we ordered the sticky wings and our waiter suggest the new spicy sriracha chicken sandwich which sounded good but packed very very very little heat and was served with some French fries that had no love whatsoever put into them. I would not recommend or try this sandwich again. Finally Dallas BBQ came to co-op city . Great location right close to the theater and the shopping center . I enjoy the ambiance, Sports entertainment while watching your favorite Team. Waiting for your order of ribs and chicken and their famous cornbread, Let's not forget There Texas size drinks. I know you seen a Dallas BBQ you seen all. But in this BBQ's they have something different like a mixture of Romantic and sports, And the stairs to the bathroom seems like you're going to a ballroom. $25 dollar minimum was the first thing that threw me off. Co-op city does not have a lot of good food, and even less that deliver. If one person wants to order that isnt a glutton like myself, 25 dollars might be a bit of a high number to hit. Burger was pretty good, but again, not much else to compare it to around here. I ordered the onion loaf, not really knowing what it was. It appears they took fried onions and compressed them into a load. Should've guessed that one. Not horrible, but the amount of grease in them could have been strained and put in my fryer to make more fried onions. The Caesar salad came with everything in a container. Now, its not that I cant cook, its just that ordering food means i'm too lazy to do anything that is required to make a meal. Putting all that shit into my salad is included. Well that doesn't mean zero salt. Sticky wings had their honey-like syrup mostly on the bottom of the box, not on the wings themselves but they were good. Portions are big. Their BBQ sauce is very good, smoky and tasty. Onion loaf wasn't bad except not all batter was cooked so I ate some onion in raw batter. I did end up getting a too-much-sodium-like headache after I ate their food. But it was from the diet-soda like sweetener in the sticky sauce. The coleslaw absolutely sucks! It's dry and tasteless and that should be one of the highlights of the restaurant. Nonetheless, will be back for chicken and will make sure everything is cooked right before I eat. read more

The one thing I can say I truly dislike about this location (Inside Bay Plaza Mall on Bartow Ave) is the customer service. Management here definitely needs to do a better job at training their staff especially the people greeting their customers in the front. I asked the hostess for a different table and she just bluntly said NO. She didn't even try to help accommodate nor bothered to look around, which I did and clearly found other open tables for 3-4 ppl. In addition, her body language was so unwelcoming and unfriendly; told us to "Enjoy our meals" in a sarcastic tone. After being seated for over 15 minutes our waiter finally came over and greeted us, but had to go attend to another table because he got their order wrong then finally came back to us. First the lady at the front desk forgot to give us a number (written in a Lil note pad paper) so several people were seated before us. Dallas BBQ is locating in a very popular shopping area in the Bronx. It's packed with people on a daily and I should have taken a second to think about that when I opened the doors to this restaurant and saw just a hand full of people. The staff was very nice and helpful. For such an empty restaurant I somehow had to wait a bit for a table. Menus are your place-mats so before you start spilling your beverage all over it; give it a read first. I had the baby-back ribs, baked potato and corn bread. I like my ribs tender; fall off the bone. The ribs I received held onto the bone for dear life. They were tough. Some places say ribs are suppose to be like that but i'm not the one that wants to fight my food before I eat it. Potato was a potato. Cornbread was a little dusty; should've been more moist. I'm going to give this place another chance. I'm hoping I could update this review with something more positive. read more

I ordered from here today via the Dallas BBQs app (fabulous) and got the 1/2 chicken honey based w the 3 wings lunch combo. I was very pleased w my order. I placed my order & paid through the app. I went to the restaurant stood outside & a warm friendly employee came out & eventually brought my order. The one take away is (drum roll) you can order their frozen alcoholic drinks to go - such a great business choice on their end. I did have to wait abt 8 min for my food bc there was definitely many ppl waiting for their orders as well. I recommend this place & was happy w my meal. Also / the app adds gratuity to the meal. Now all Dallas BBQ's for the most part are consistent as franchise goals and brand go.....so if you've been to one you've been to them all. But I must say our experience has been great each time we've come here.......the wings are hot......the drinks liquored (if you're one step from a program you know what I mean). So with that being said, I didn't enjoy my sticky wings but don't take my opinion too harshly on this because people enjoy the food here all the time I just really don't.
