The best thing about Alpha Omega is that is that it's very family friendly. Not many wineries welcome children and this location was very accommodating. Our children were well behaved, I kept them occupied with lots of arts and craft activities, but my child still end up knocking over a glass of wine. Our server Jokayla was so gracious with us and helped us clean up. She was also very accommodating with everyone's taste preferences and offered customized recommendations for us. This is one of the wineries that did not require an upfront charge to enter which I appreciate so much. Not everyone in our party drank. Up to 2 adults can share a $75 flight of wine. If you purchase 2 or more bottles of wine, the tasting fee is waived. The pours are also plenty so this is a great deal. I just loved their flexibility. Valet parking was free! The winery is upscale, with beautiful views of the vineyard and the water fountain if you get terrace seating. We had reservations for 10:30am and had front row at the terrace. We had a relaxing time and this is one winery I will highly recommend to families. 100% we will come back and enjoy this beautiful location and great service!

Our hostess was a sweet lady and really talked about the history well. At the end we sat down at the larger table and finished the tasting with one extra pour. The tasting was great and prices were quite fair but I do think I prefer the more private feel of a smaller tasting, with 2-4 people as at times our host stood on one side chatting to the large group and we really couldn't ask questions or hear what was going on the other side of the table. When we asked if we could move inside due to the heat (and some health concerns in our group, the request wasn't accommodated right away. It actually took my fiance calling Caymus directly (who wasn't even on the trip) before they moved us into an indoor area, which they mentioned isn't typically used for tastings (the space with all the wine barrels). That's when our experience improved - a manager came out to pour our wines and check in on us, and also apologize for the trouble. From that point on, a great time was had! Probably what stuck out to me the most was the wine glasses used for the flight tasting. These glasses are exquisite. While I don't remember the exact dollar figure, they use German glassware that was 100 a pop, and each glass was selected based on enhancing which wine was being tasted. The first glass on the left was what we started with, which was a white, and as you go toward the right you transition into the bulbous fishbowl type glassware typically used to drink reds. The flight tasting was 75 which is pricey, and their flagship red is quite expensive in my opinion. However, you like what you like and if you enjoy it then it's meant for you. This is a great place and I'll most definitely visit again when I'm back in Napa.

The standout is the George III that they cannot put on the label as such but it is silky, luxurious and well balanced. The cheese plate is amazing and very generous portion. I called and asked in advance for a member tasting without the history story I had heard it one too many times!! The wine Club manager set us up in a nice room for our party of five at 3:30 PM. Chris was our host. He did a great job of telling new details of the historical story of BV... although I wanted to discuss the wine more than hear the history. Chris was informative, passionate, and knowledgeable. I would ask for him as a host again! However, he a attend your wine Club member. I really don't want to hear the story one more time! This is a beautiful winery and their new tasting room will open soon... I'm very excited to see how it is. I suggest if you make an appointment for tasting here that you make it earlier than 3:30 since the wine Club manager pretty much came in and told us it was time to go because they were closing at 5. We did not have any additional tastings other than what was on the menu and we did not try to take up any extra time, but we were picking up our wine shipment, which was being put together and not altered ... again, not taking up any more than the scheduled . After having been a member of multiple wineries in Napa, this was the first time I've ever experienced someone rushing us out... which did not leave a good taste in our mouth figuratively, not literally,because the wine was awesome as usual!!
