Made reservations for the Rutherford Dust tasting on an early weekday in February. Initially upon arriving it was extremely confusing to locate the tasting room due to the ongoing construction and ended up having to call customer service. Luckily, we found the tasting room and were warmly greeted and hosted by Blake. We tasted a variety of red wines that were delicious! I was really looking forward to this winery after eyeing the Riedel wine wing wine glasses that we were told they were sold out of and unknown date when a shipment was arriving. Prior to our visit, I contacted this winery and specifically asked if the wine glasses were available for purchase and was told they were. It was a huge let down! After seeing my disappointment, Blake was kind enough to allow us to sample some remaining pours out of the wine wing glasses. I read an earlier review of someone else was hoping to purchase the glasses and they too were left in disappointment. Other than the wine glasses, we had a good experience. I wish we received more information on the Rutherford soil and how it affects the taste of the wines. Additionally, I wish we got a bit of alone time to talk amongst ourselves and to take more photos. Overall, great winery but left slightly disappointed.

It's been 20 years, and this one was always a favorite of mine... and after this visit it still is! Took a quick tour of the operation and it is definitely bigger than our last trip... it's clear the owners(conglomerate) have invested since taking over, but still had the same small vineyard feel. After the tour we were seated in a nice bar area with another family and commenced to sipping! Server was very well versed in area history and info about where all the wines are grown and the specific conditions necessary for each. Decent Merlot and some great cab's! Considered joining the club, but we have so much at home already we need to drink...next visit! Love this place, it stays on the top of our list!

we decided to join the wine club because my husband and one of his friends both like BV wines from the grocery store. We visited for the first time a few days ago. It was a fantastic visit. I booked the tasting with sitting indoors. Wine tasting is free for members and you can invite two additional friends to come for free. This is a great benefit. The service was fantastic. Every single person that we interacted with was very friendly and wonderful. We learned a lot about the history of the winery and also the wines that they have. We visited on a Friday which was perfect because the winery was not crowded so it was relaxing and fun. Also, the staff had plenty of time to talk to us and they were very relaxed. We also learned that, they have a very large wine selection that you can only purchase at the winery. So we are eagerly awaiting our first shipment.

Such a pleasant experience! If you're looking for a bunch of awesome Cabernet, this is your spot! Came here for a wine tasting because my friend is a club member. Ryan was our Wine Club Specialist and he was super knowledgeable and awesome! We were in the Member Tasting room and it was amazing! The interior design is beautiful and we loved the service. Ended up buying 2 extra bottles. Come in and enjoy!

Napa visitors, This has got to be one of the must-sees while visiting wine country. BV, as it's commonly referred to, is one of the older wineries in Napa and drenched in history. What makes this place so unique, other than the fabulous wines, is the staff. We were fortunate to have Robert Garcia as our host, and he might be the most knowledgeable person in Napa. I think him growing up there and retiring there to start his journey at BV makes him invaluable. He's there a few days a week, so we're lucky to have him as our guide. (He's been with BV now for almost twenty years) The best part is while visiting Robert, he can fill you in on the other wineries owned by Treasury; I don't want to spoil the surprise, but look them up and get ready--the who's who in Napa. Robert makes you feel like family, which, combined with such delicious wine, makes for the perfect Napa trip.

My visit was a short one and I was not able to do a wine tasting only because I had my 6 months only grandson with me but the lady at the counter was very accommodating And said if I wanted to I could do some wine tasting although I did not have any reservations which I thought was great! They are one of my favorite wines! This establishment is very nice! There is seating outside but the inside is where you want to be! It's very spacious and nice. Very inviting! Only reason for a 4 star is that I specifically went in looking for the special wine glasses, it's a GEORGES DE LATOUR 80th anniversary glass. The website reads 'Experience the bespoke glass for yourself through our Georges de Latour Legacy Experience. Glasses are available for purchase in our tasting room' but when I asked to buy a pair she said they were no longer for sale. All you could do was try the glass with the wine tasting. So needless to say I was very disappointed! But I will definitely go back for a wine tasting experience the next time I'm in the area! A must visit winery for sure!!!

    Saturday, April 24th, 2021: Cabernet Collector's Experience ($50)

Dates Visited: Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at 4pm for a party of 3 Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 11:30am for a party of 6 Cabernet Collector's Experience from 2021: $50 each 2017 Tapestry: Cabernet Blend 2017 Oakville: 100% Cabernet 2017 Ranch 1: 90% Cabernet, 10% Merlot 2017 Ranch 2: 100% Merlot 2017 George de Latour Private Reserve: 97% Cabernet, 3% Petit Verdot I've been here on two separate occasions. Once last year when my friend became a member and once yesterday for a bday outing. The experience in 2021 was great. My friend made a prepaid reservation (I believe online), we sat outside, got 30% off bottles of wine (for him joining), and all three of our tastings were comped. Walked away with the 4 bottles below. Our server was so much fun. Funny, personable, etc. We had a blast. Though I was toying with buying a 2017 Madame de Latour ($185 regular). They couldn't let me taste it, so I ended up passing. I didn't want to commit to such an expensive bottle without trying it first. (I have commitment issues! Lol!) 2017 George Latour Cabernet Sauvignon ($101.50 member, $145 regular) 2017 Ranch No 1 Maestro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($66.50 member, $95 regular) 2017 Ranch No 2 Maestro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($66.50 member, $85 regular) 2016 Maestro Reserve Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ($52.50 member, $75 regular) This last time, I did not document as well, so no pix, etc. But we sat in a different area of the winery. We ended up inside across the way where members do their tastings. Since we were on a time crunch, we sat at the bar. Our tasting included one white and I believe three or four reds. I think they also poured us a bonus glass of one of the clones. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Again, I thought of buying the Madame, but we were running late to our next wine appointment, so I didn't ask about it. One of my favorite wineries where one of us is a member. One day, I will try that Madame Latour!

The lovely host took me on quick tour and had someone help me with my bags upstairs. You would be surprised how rarely that happened on our trip through Napa. The room was gorgeous. I owned my own cleaning business for 10 years and the level of cleanliness was unparalleled. The carpet was thick and the bed sheets did not have that bleach rough texture you often find in any hotel these days. The courtyard offered a pool and an amazing hot tub surrounded by lounge areas and fire pits. We spent the evening in the hot tub looking at stars and full moon, drinking some wine we picked up along the way. No glass allowed in pool area but they provided plastic wine glasses. The breakfast was sit down style and you selected a few options as part of the package. You could add on for a fee. The English muffin is to die for and domes from local bakery. We stopped at Oakville Grocery on our way and had a nice little charcuterie in our room to snack on. Highly recommend as a stop for treats it's only 6 minutes away. We walked to dinner at Rutherfords Grill that's just across parking lot. You can easily go to the winery near by as well. While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

After looking up our reservation, she said, "Oh, indeed you do have a reservation." It just felt like an odd response, like... why wouldn't we? is it because we're brown? We arrived a little early, so we spent some time browsing the gift shop upstairs. That's where we met our guide, Will, who was lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and he asked if we'd been given a birthday sticker. Apparently they offer special occasion stickers at the front, which the check-in woman never mentioned, but Will made sure we got one, which was a nice touch. The tour itself was a small group, which I really liked. We went into the cave, and for those drinking, the tour included 3 wines. It was interesting learning about the history of Beringer Vineyards, and again, Will did a great job explaining everything. One thing I do wish they offered: for non-drinkers, it would be nice to have something like grape juice or a non-alcoholic option during the tour. There were a few of us in that situation, and it felt a little odd not having anything to sip on. After the tour, we walked the grounds, which was really nice. It's free to explore the property and browse the gift shop, which makes it a pleasant stop even beyond the tour itself.
