The lovely host took me on quick tour and had someone help me with my bags upstairs. You would be surprised how rarely that happened on our trip through Napa. The room was gorgeous. I owned my own cleaning business for 10 years and the level of cleanliness was unparalleled. The carpet was thick and the bed sheets did not have that bleach rough texture you often find in any hotel these days. The courtyard offered a pool and an amazing hot tub surrounded by lounge areas and fire pits. We spent the evening in the hot tub looking at stars and full moon, drinking some wine we picked up along the way. No glass allowed in pool area but they provided plastic wine glasses. The breakfast was sit down style and you selected a few options as part of the package. You could add on for a fee. The English muffin is to die for and domes from local bakery. We stopped at Oakville Grocery on our way and had a nice little charcuterie in our room to snack on. Highly recommend as a stop for treats it's only 6 minutes away. We walked to dinner at Rutherfords Grill that's just across parking lot. You can easily go to the winery near by as well. Overall we were just two girls having a great road trip but I'd recommend this for honeymoon as or romantic getaway as well. Perfect!!

The lady at the front desk, Sue, gave us the grand tour of the inn and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was just ok but the English muffins were really good. The lobby coffee was by far the best. I would love to come back here.

I called and asked in advance for a member tasting without the history story I had heard it one too many times!! The wine Club manager set us up in a nice room for our party of five at 3:30 PM. Chris was our host. He did a great job of telling new details of the historical story of BV... although I wanted to discuss the wine more than hear the history. Chris was informative, passionate, and knowledgeable. I would ask for him as a host again! However, he a attend your wine Club member. I really don't want to hear the story one more time! This is a beautiful winery and their new tasting room will open soon... I'm very excited to see how it is. I suggest if you make an appointment for tasting here that you make it earlier than 3:30 since the wine Club manager pretty much came in and told us it was time to go because they were closing at 5. We did not have any additional tastings other than what was on the menu and we did not try to take up any extra time, but we were picking up our wine shipment, which was being put together and not altered ... again, not taking up any more than the scheduled . After having been a member of multiple wineries in Napa, this was the first time I've ever experienced someone rushing us out... which did not leave a good taste in our mouth figuratively, not literally, because the wine was awesome as usual!!

I do not understand why it says closes at 5 but the last tasting is 3:30p and after that is only bottle purchase. We've called each time to make a reservation and have had to leave a message, only to not get a call back until the end of the day. Sadly, we will be cancelling our membership, as the inability to use our benefits has been much harder than any other wine membership we have.

It issn't normally open to the general public (hence the reason I was not aware of it!). However, it can be rented out for events or weddings. We went for an event planner reception...and were surprised to hear even our organizers have never had access to this venue before and were excited to be there. The gardens are absolutely beautiful with lush greenery, fountains, and charming little spots that feel like a peaceful retreat. You drive up a long, tree-lined path that sets a relaxing vibe right from the start. The big oak tree on the "Forbidden Lawn" makes for a stunning backdrop for photos. The place feels upscale but still warm and inviting. There's a nice mix of formal gardens and natural areas, so there's always something pretty to look at. Paula LeDuc catering runs the food, and they're top-notch, which is a bonus. Just a heads up, the venue has a lot of rules, like quiet music and an early curfew, so it's not your wild party spot. It's perfect if you want a classy, peaceful venue with gorgeous scenery. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Napa and love beautiful gardens. tasting room is this beautiful venue space.

What a great find in St. Helena! We discovered The Saint…read morejust passing by during our latest trip to the Napa Valley last month. It looked like a nice place, and we decided we would return the following day for a visit. We came in for some drinks and to enjoy the swanky interior. Dark, sexy vibes, very nicely done. It was on the emptier side when we visited, partly because it was earlier in the afternoon, and partly because people were elsewhere watching the final rounds of the World Cup, but that was fine with us, because we got out lovely bartender basically all to ourselves. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was terrific, friendly, engaging, and down-to-earth. He made us some great drinks (lemon drop for me, tequila & lime for my partner - we're such one trick ponies), and later showed us around the place. There is a lot of history in the building. It used to be a bank back in the day (and by 'back in the day' I mean the 1800's), and it still has the original vault. Beyond the vault door, there is a speakeasy-style dining room that would be absolutely perfect for a private event. We didn't try any food this time, they only had light bites on offer at that time of the day, but the dinner menu looks promising, and I look forward to having a full meal here upon our next visit. Downtown St. Helena is a bit out of the way of our usual stops in Napa, but I would make a special trip for this spot again.

While…read morevisiting my besties in Napa, they ordered online and picked up and brought it back to the house, so I didn't get to experience the service or ambiance, but I can tell you they said the staff was really nice because they gave us to-go containers of the hot sauce, which was spicy and vinegary. The bucket of chicken was everything I imagined and more! Sooooo extremely flavorful, crunchy, tender, perfectly cooked. I once read in the T.Keller cookbook that it's marinated in the brine for 24 hours. So yum! Mac salad is creamy and has a chipotle flavor to it. Delicious. Coleslaw is tangy and vinegary and pairs well with the fried chicken. The acidity balances out the fried. The shrimp po boy was phenomenal. Juicy, plump shrimp coated in batter which was light and crispy. So incredibly flavorful and plentiful. The bread was perfectly soft on the inside with a slight toast on the outside, with a butter lettuce and mayo sauce. SO good! Can't wait to come back again!

We visited Addendum on a Friday of a long holiday weekend during peak lunch hours. As expected,…read morethere was a huge crowd and a long, slow-moving line. The ordering process is simple--you place your order at one window, pick it up from another, and wait for your name to be called. When we reached the counter, the staff was fine, and we ordered the Three-Piece Fried Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy, and a side of Coleslaw. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. The waiting experience, however, was extremely frustrating. There is some outdoor seating, but I wish it were reserved for customers only. Many people were using the tables for their own picnics, leaving paying customers with nowhere to sit. A few more umbrellas would also make a huge difference, especially when you're waiting outside for 40+ minutes in the sun. Since we were hungry, we walked over to Burgers & Half Bottles, ordered lunch there, finished eating, and returned to Addendum. By then, about 45 minutes had passed, yet our order still wasn't ready. Around us, many other customers who had ordered at the same time were also still waiting. The pickup area became complete chaos. People crowded around the pickup window because there was no clear system or communication. Even the manager from the main restaurant came over to help, but the process never really improved. Several customers around us ended up cancelling their orders out of frustration. We finally received our food after **1 hour and 5 minutes**, and only because we stood right by the pickup window the entire time to make sure our name wasn't missed. Judging by the conversations around us, we weren't the only ones disappointed by the experience. As for the food, the **Three-Piece Fried Chicken** was definitely the highlight and the reason the restaurant is so well known. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. It came with macaroni salad and cornbread, both of which were decent but nothing memorable. The **Shrimp Po' Boy** was underwhelming. The shrimp had a noticeable seafood smell, lacked seasoning, and tasted quite bland. The **coleslaw** was the biggest disappointment--it was overwhelmingly sour, almost like eating straight vinegar, and we ended up throwing it away. Overall, while the fried chicken was excellent, I'm not sure it's worth waiting over an hour in an unorganized system, especially with the limited seating and lack of communication. There are definitely improvements that could make the experience match the reputation.
