    Wedding day beauty at Beaulieu.
    Ashley F.

Beaulieu Garden was the perfect setting for our fairy tale wedding. It is the most beautiful site we visited on our search for a venue, complete with beautifully manicured gardens, a vineyard, pools, fountains and breathtaking views. Magical is how we, and our guests, described this venue. The beauty does come with the cost of a long list of rules (most notably, the music must be played very softly and a strict 10pm curfew), but overall, the pros of this gorgeous place certainly won out. We suggest an after party up the road in the barrel room at Merryvale Vineyard. Paula Le Duc is the exclusive caterer here. They are the pinnacle of fine catering so you're in good hands with them.

An absolutely amazing experience, I think if you are coming for a long weekend, skip the "fancy"…read morethousand dollar a night hotels and give Rancho Caymus Inn a try. From the moment we entered the gorgeous doors to the front desk, we were in love. The lobby era has such a cool vibe, I would live there. A small fireplace, free water, coffee and tea starting at 6:30AM, and a heavenly scent. The staff was so helpful and carried our bags to the room (and later let us store our bags on our last day when we went to tastings). The property is stunning, with well thought out flowers, fire pits, stained glass, etc. It was one of the most unique spots we stayed in hotel wise in a very long time. The pool onsite was fabulous and cleaned well (though hot tub was slightly slippery so beware). The meeting room was gorgeous for the evening free tastings and everywhere you looked or sat, you found well thought out details. Even the restrooms near the pool had a good smell, were clean, and had higher end soap dispensers, etc. Now for the rooms - super large, cool well on hotter days, and oh man they get so dark at night, you think you are sleeping in a cave. TV worked well and had ton of channels. Coffee maker, small fridge, small fireplace included, and all rooms have a balcony or deck with up to 4 chairs in ours. Rooms were pretty soundproof and the beds were so comfy and large (though wish the pillows were slightly firmer). Free water in the room upon arrival too and plastic glasses to bring pool side. They had comfy robes, a fan in the bathroom, and a little shelf for soap AND for the shampoo and conditioner. The mirror in the bathroom allowed space to put stuff inside and there was also a dedicated spot in the room with mirror and counter space to get ready on. I know some of these things may seem small but honestly, this level of attention to detail is so appreciated. We got great sleep both of our 2 nights. We greatly appreciated the morning breakfast- onsite staff was so kind and I think the scrambled eggs were the best we got in a hotel restaurant ever. Even their simple onsite coffee surprised me, not being too bitter or acidic. Definitely get the model english muffins and the granola bowl! They also have free parking and a small onsite store to buy wine, tide to go pens, etc. Overall a fabulous time and many walkable wineries nearby! Don't hesitate to give it a try.

I called and asked in advance for a member tasting without the history story I had heard it one too many times!! The wine Club manager set us up in a nice room for our party of five at 3:30 PM. Chris was our host. He did a great job of telling new details of the historical story of BV... although I wanted to discuss the wine more than hear the history. Chris was informative, passionate, and knowledgeable. I would ask for him as a host again! However, he a attend your wine Club member. I really don't want to hear the story one more time! This is a beautiful winery and their new tasting room will open soon... I'm very excited to see how it is. I suggest if you make an appointment for tasting here that you make it earlier than 3:30 since the wine Club manager pretty much came in and told us it was time to go because they were closing at 5. We did not have any additional tastings other than what was on the menu and we did not try to take up any extra time, but we were picking up our wine shipment, which was being put together and not altered ... again, not taking up any more than the scheduled . After having been a member of multiple wineries in Napa, this was the first time I've ever experienced someone rushing us out... which did not leave a good taste in our mouth figuratively, not literally, because the wine was awesome as usual!!

The whole vibe was so nice and felt special right from the start. The service was great throughout. I had the margherita flatbread pizza, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful (with golden tomatoes, yumm). I also got to try the caviar - even though I'm not usually a big caviar fan, this was unlike any I've tried before - served with chips (think ruffles) that rounded it out perfectly. They even surprised me with a pour of bubbly to celebrate my bachelorette party, which made the experience extra memorable. The Saint is also located in the cutest area in St. Helena, surrounded by charming shops, restaurants, and plenty to explore. All in all, it was good vibes all around, and I'd definitely recommend stopping by!

As a Hyatt member was able to use points instead of selling my Audi to pay for a one night stay. So the next morning, where to go? After a quick breakfast we ended up at The Saint for cocktails. At first we didn't think it was open since it was early and no one was in there. Upon entry it is clear this isn't a dive bar. A few high tops as you enter to the left and a nice long bar with and table against the right wall. This building takes you back to 1890 or so when it was originally a bank. I wonder how many times it was robbed at gun point and the bad boys rode off on horses with the cash??? Many of the light fixtures are original from the same time. It has a bank vault as every good bank should. But since this is a bar the vault is more a private area with seating. Since we just had a late breakfast we only had drinks. Not sure but I'm pretty sure Andrea had a Lemon Drop and I know for sure I had tequila and lime. While we were there a few high tops filled up with Chardonnay drinking ladies getting away from the family (kids and partners) for the day. And a couple of different couples being tourist. I know, I know technically we are tourist but we've spent so much time here over the years we don't feel like tourist and back in the day not long ago many people thought we lived there. Our bartender was great about explaining the details about the bank building and it's history along with a tour. Next time we are in St. Helena we will definitely be back. Actually may make a special trip from Napa just to go there.

The bucket of chicken was everything I imagined and more! Sooooo extremely flavorful, crunchy, tender, perfectly cooked. I once read in the T.Keller cookbook that it's marinated in the brine for 24 hours. So yum! Mac salad is creamy and has a chipotle flavor to it. Delicious. Coleslaw is tangy and vinegary and pairs well with the fried chicken. The acidity balances out the fried. The shrimp po boy was phenomenal. Juicy, plump shrimp coated in batter which was light and crispy. So incredibly flavorful and plentiful. The bread was perfectly soft on the inside with a slight toast on the outside, with a butter lettuce and mayo sauce. SO good! Can't wait to come back again!

We visited Addendum on a Friday of a long holiday weekend during peak lunch hours. As expected,…read morethere was a huge crowd and a long, slow-moving line. The ordering process is simple--you place your order at one window, pick it up from another, and wait for your name to be called. When we reached the counter, the staff was fine, and we ordered the Three-Piece Fried Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy, and a side of Coleslaw. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. The waiting experience, however, was extremely frustrating. There is some outdoor seating, but I wish it were reserved for customers only. Many people were using the tables for their own picnics, leaving paying customers with nowhere to sit. A few more umbrellas would also make a huge difference, especially when you're waiting outside for 40+ minutes in the sun. Since we were hungry, we walked over to Burgers & Half Bottles, ordered lunch there, finished eating, and returned to Addendum. By then, about 45 minutes had passed, yet our order still wasn't ready. Around us, many other customers who had ordered at the same time were also still waiting. The pickup area became complete chaos. People crowded around the pickup window because there was no clear system or communication. Even the manager from the main restaurant came over to help, but the process never really improved. Several customers around us ended up cancelling their orders out of frustration. We finally received our food after **1 hour and 5 minutes**, and only because we stood right by the pickup window the entire time to make sure our name wasn't missed. Judging by the conversations around us, we weren't the only ones disappointed by the experience. As for the food, the **Three-Piece Fried Chicken** was definitely the highlight and the reason the restaurant is so well known. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. It came with macaroni salad and cornbread, both of which were decent but nothing memorable. The **Shrimp Po' Boy** was underwhelming. The shrimp had a noticeable seafood smell, lacked seasoning, and tasted quite bland. The **coleslaw** was the biggest disappointment--it was overwhelmingly sour, almost like eating straight vinegar, and we ended up throwing it away. Overall, while the fried chicken was excellent, I'm not sure it's worth waiting over an hour in an unorganized system, especially with the limited seating and lack of communication. There are definitely improvements that could make the experience match the reputation.
