I'd imagine that the tasting experience is pretty strongly shaped by the person serving you at the bar and the guy helping me was super friendly, down to earth, and yet still very knowledgeable and serious about the craft even busting out a 3D map is the thin to teach me about the various appellations in the region. Awesome experience, gorgeous spot, busy but didn't feel frantic, even on a sunny weekend.

It was very nice that they had a large selection of cheese and meats we could purchase to take home with us. They also had tons of accessories as well that were priced very well and seemed like nice quality. And the lady behind the cheese counter (I forgot her name) was super helpful and knowledgeable about what cheeses would go great with our wine, same for the ladies behind the meat counter! I only gave four stars because the girls at the register were not very friendly, and the lady that checked us in when we first got there was also not very friendly. Also, the restrooms were pretty gross and needed to be cleaned more frequently. Other than that this was a fun place to visit! We did walk in which was nice so if you need somewhere to do a last minute or unplanned tasting this is a great place!

I love, love, LOVE this place!…read more The wines, the atmosphere, the history, the cabanas, and of course, the pizza--it truly has it all! This particular tasting was our best ever, and we have Gustavo to thank for that! His knowledge, wonderful stories, and genuine servant's heart are immeasurable. He made the experience so much more than just a wine tasting. We ended our visit with a wonderful tour, which was the perfect way to finish an already amazing experience. Thank you, Gustavo, for making our visit so memorable. We can't wait to return!

There is a posting on the wall of the winery that explains the history of Charles Krug, the oldest winery in the valley. We decided to check it out and were unfortunately too late to do a tasting but they were happy to help us with ordering a charcuterie platter and glass of wine. We settled on a Cab which we very much enjoyed. The bartender was kind enough to give us a sample of two different wines before we committed. I also liked that they offer a complimentary tasting of champagne as you enter. The inside of the winery is pretty, but the outside is really gorgeous. We enjoyed the wonderful weather and sat in a shaded gazebo area. There are plenty of nice shaded areas and we saw other parties seated outside enjoying the weather. We sipped on the wine and munched on the tasty cheeses, crackers, and other yummies on the charcuterie platter and had a lovely evening here. We would definitely recommend checking this spot out if you are in the area!

Our host, Steven, was engaging, hospitable, and knowledgeable about Sterling's wines. He did a fantastic job guiding us through amazing wines paired with exquisite savory bites created by Chef Edward. It's hard to choose a favorite pairing--they were all delicious! The Sleeping Lady wine was a particular standout for me. It was lovely to see Maurice as well. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable. We're already looking forward to returning soon!

This was a solid wine tour experience! When I was looking up spots to visit, Sterling caught my eye…read morebecause of the gondola ride. And the ride was well worth it! From the moment you start your ascent, you can enjoy sweeping views of the valley. When we arrived at the top, we started the self-guided Sterling Stroll experience. Many of the staff we met were helpful and kind in giving some background on the pours. I also liked that you could learn about the wine-making process from some of the signs around the tour area and enjoy a beautiful view. However, it did have more of a museum/assembly-line feel as you passed from station to station. There were many patrons when we visited on a Sunday afternoon so there was often a buildup of folks waiting to taste the next wine. The wines themselves were decent, but not standouts from our visit to the Napa valley. All in all, a really unique experience with the gondola ride, sweeping views and self-guided format! It just may not be for everyone depending on what you're looking for.

The wines were excellent, but what really made the visit memorable was the tasting experience itself. Our hostess, Nashelli, was knowledgeable, fun, and very welcoming. She explained the wines in a way that was easy to understand and never made the tasting feel overly formal. She also did a great job helping people who were new to wine tasting feel comfortable, relaxed, and included. The food and snacks offered with the tasting are also worth trying. They really complement the wines and make the whole experience feel more complete. For us, this was more than just a wine tasting. It was a chance to return to a place connected to a special memory from 20 years ago, and Hall Winery gave us another great one.

But might just be standard in the area. Our server was funny- he told us it was his second day but we think he was pranking us. Loved the 3D map he showed us of the wine region- it really made the differences in the wines make more sense, plus it was fun to play with. We sat on bar stools which is not my fave, but I understand that the nice seats are likely for members. None of the wines were super memorable to me and the price point didn't match up with how highly I thought of the wines, but I still had a great experience and would be willing to visit another time. Really cool art, great view, lots of windows. A total vibe and has some availability for walk ins.

The best thing about Alpha Omega is that is that it's very family friendly. Not many wineries welcome children and this location was very accommodating. Our children were well behaved, I kept them occupied with lots of arts and craft activities, but my child still end up knocking over a glass of wine. Our server Jokayla was so gracious with us and helped us clean up. She was also very accommodating with everyone's taste preferences and offered customized recommendations for us. This is one of the wineries that did not require an upfront charge to enter which I appreciate so much. Not everyone in our party drank. Up to 2 adults can share a $75 flight of wine. If you purchase 2 or more bottles of wine, the tasting fee is waived. The pours are also plenty so this is a great deal. I just loved their flexibility. Valet parking was free! The winery is upscale, with beautiful views of the vineyard and the water fountain if you get terrace seating. We had reservations for 10:30am and had front row at the terrace. We had a relaxing time and this is one winery I will highly recommend to families. 100% we will come back and enjoy this beautiful location and great service!
