I've been to this store a few times now and have had a great shopping experience . They have my favorite snacks here for affordale prices (usually no more than 1.50 each item). Beautiful store front with a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely one of the smaller stores im the area besides the one in Berkley. The first time that i need any assistance with anything a lovely employee by the name of RoseMarie was there to make sure i got exaclty what i needed and helped me at the register with nothing but a friendly attitude, she was the only employee who said anything to me actually. She definitely made me want to come back, i already want to buy everything from there. Awesome experience thats why i give it five stars, the costumer service alone was great. I love Daiso Japan! Ok, this place is amazing! Cheap things. Most things re $1.50 unless labeled! It's great! It's one of the bigger stores here ( Forever 21 is much bigger in terms of size.) This is a cute Asian inspired dollar tree store with an additional 50 cent charge. This store has cute knick knacks, hats, practical household items and candy. All of the items in the store are foreign. My boyfriend and I spent a good 20 minutes browsing and finally buying. read more

Wow this place has re-opened in Great Mall so many times that it's been hard to keep track. I've been a veteran and frequent of Daiso Japan stores all around the Bay Area so I was surprised to see how kept together this store was. The variety was more than enough compared to some other smaller Daiso stores and it was definitely an improvement from their previous locations in Great Mall. I bought a cat collar for my cat for only $1.50. The super cute aquamarine collar was a buckle which I was ecstatic about since my smart kitty always ripped his collars off with his buff paws. I also got some small head, very soft toothbrush since I have sensitive gums. And nope, I didn't forget grabbing a pack of HI-CHEWS from the front counter before leaving the register. read more

I love Daiso... They have everything.. Everything for $1.50... I go here to buy kitchen items like lunch containers, bowls, cups, etc... It's a very affordable store.. Giving it only 3 stars because the isles are too small.. Definitely not for someone who just went shopping and carrying a lot of items because based on my experience, I was bumping into things with the stuff I was carrying... I've been here several times and their isles never seem to be clean, like there's always some boxes on the floor or stacks and stacks of boxes... I've told them about it before and they always say "Oh we're adding inventory". So yeah minus 2 stars for being messy all the time. read more

This is a well-lit and fun Daiso store. It seems to have a little bit of everything; because the selection isn't too overwhelming, it's fun to browse the aisles and examine all the little stuff. Winter accessories are especially nicely displayed at this location. read more

I LOVE Daiso, this store is the only reason why I even go to Great mall unless i'm trying to get shoes or clothes. I go some place else. If there's anything I need, it's always here. The hair ties are so adorable, I can't tell how many things i've bought from this store but what I found surprising was their make up. There's this lip stick they sell that has two colors, a dark color on the inner circle and a lighter color outer. Although it has a weird smell I prefer this lipstick out of the other name brand 'popular' types of lipstick. I bought fake eye lashes from here that makes my eyes look big and voluminous (they're great) but if there's anything I found most surprising in their make up isle it was their eye lash glue. Their eyelash glue comes in the color black and it's the most reliable glue they have for your eyes. It's easy to apply, it stays on the whole day (if you use them correctly) and come off easily as well. The glue won't be hard to take off the lashes in the end of the day either when you're cleaning them. I thought it was great that I found a pack of assorted make up sponges that came in different colors and sizes. Somewhere else, it probably would have costed $10.00 or higher but at Daiso I feel pretty lucky to have found such a deal. When I walk in Daiso I feel happy and it's funny because as I walk through every isle, there's always something I wanna stop and look at for a quick minute. I own a cute notebook from there in which I tape my memories,cards, etc. I bought this really cute key chain, a 'ramen party' shirt and so much more. I'm always looking forward to saving money and coming back. I would choose this store over the other 'dollar stores' because Daiso actually has some great quality products that are very visually appealing as well. I recommend this store to everyone. No, it isn't name brand, Gucci, or whatever but at least you'll be leaving the store with a LOT of stuff, you'll be happy about what you find and buy too because they will last! as well as preventing holes from your pockets if you're on a tight budget unless you buy too much stuff because everything is so cute, then yeah, it will be expensive. If you wanna keep track of what you buy remember that everything is $1.50 (unless stated otherwise) and buying two things makes it $3.00 Shirts are usually $7.00 Some people ask "what's with the extra .50 cents, why can't it be just 1.00?" Well with such great quality products, it's worth the extra ten cents. read more

This store is more like a gift shop for tourist. Items are ok, but the selection is limited and quality of items are limited. This kind of store reminds me of what a dollar tree would be like in Japan. It's ok, but not my cup of tea read more

This is the coolest store ever! So many small little boxes, gadgets, toiletries, kitchen stuff, office stuff...it goes on and on! I wonder if this is the Japanese equivalent of our dollar stores? The kids and I went through every isle and ended up with tons of snacks. read more

Hooray for Daiso! It's so hard not to buy just one thing at this store. I'm so glad they re-opened in the Great Mall again. The new space is smaller than their last space, so the aisles are very small and the shelves are taller than at other Daisos. It's probably so they can cram as much merchandise in there as they can. So beware if you are claustrophobic. read more

Cute place. Love stopping by whenever I'm at the mall. So many cute items to look at. Big fan of their hair accessories - I have tons of ribbon clips and hairbands. Great place to buy cute and inexpensive gifts for friends or family. I personally like buying their boxes and bags because of the cute designs and cheap price. I live within walking distance of this Daiso. It gets pretty crowded but that staff is always really nice. I love when I walk in and Kpop is playing. Something about buying cheap eyelashes and hearing Big Bang just feels right. read more

Love love this store! I don't live in the bay area but my kids do.This store has the cutest shopping bags that fold up in your purse and they are very strong, everyone always comments on them when I go shopping. And their storage boxes are adorable and way cheaper then Target or Ikea.Teapots that make lovely gifts so many other great items. Go here anytime you are in the area!!! read more

i discovered this place this last summer i think...not quite sure but anyhow i'm a huge fan! this place is better than your average dollar store with some decent quality items! my favorite item i purchase here are the $1.50 eyelashes!!!! oh yeah! so cheap i love it and the quality is not bad! there definitely not mac lashes or some other shmancy pancy brand but i love to rock these lashes at this price since i'm on a budget! this place also has cute lil lunch boxes,cell phone chargers, asian snack packs (luv these btw) household items,gloves/mittens,hygiene products, i can keep going, but you get my point! this place is always a pit stop when i'm near by or low on my lash stash LOL! read more

I'm so disappointed at this store! great stuff but poorly customer bad service! I wanted to get three teapots there was a sign in front of teapots that read everything was $1.50 unless there was a tag on the item" I grabbed 3 teapots because they didn't have any tag, none of them did, there was an employee on the aisle I asked her for the price and she said $1.50 her name was Derisee when I got to the register and cashier scan teapot came up to $3? I told her that teapots even the ones from the shelf didn't have any tags and that I asked the employee on the aisle and told me teapot were $1.50 they even called her and asked her in front of me and she agree she had told me the same price, but cahier refuse to give me the teapots at the price promised!!! I was so upset and asked for the manager, her name is Janine, we explain to her the situation and she also refuse to give us the teapot at $1.50 even though they were tag less and employee agreed had giving us the wrong price, I chose not to buy them and I will not come back to this store! I did call to their corporate head office in Hayward told them the situation and very nice lady said that the manager was suppose to give us teapot at $1.50 and that they were sorry for that and that the customer is always RIGHT!!!! BAD JANINE!!!! I don't know how you got in to this position to be the manager you give poor customer service!!!! read more

This store is okay. I was very confused when I tried to buy a box. There were 2 other boxes in the box and they were charged separately. If they are in the box, why are they sold separately???? I thought it was a set of boxes. A large box, medium box, and a small box. All same price?! uM?! The lady got salty with me so I got salty back. This lady should not work here if she is unprepared to deal with frustrated costumers. Especially since they put them all in the same box. read more
