I had $.99 bottles of juice in my hand and I put them on the belt. I could hardly think I didn't finish the transaction. I had earphones in and I told the lady at the checkout I'll be right back in. I really need you to open the restroom for me and I grabbed the bottles. The whole store came down on me as if grand theft was occurring. I made it two steps out the door and she came and snatched the bottles from me and I said oh my gosh, I thought I paid and so I went right back to the check stand and I had already swiped my card again and they made her cancel the transaction and told me I was welcome there and I better leave before they call the cops on me. I thought that this was way overkill. I had spoken to two store attendees about leaving to go to the restroom, I said it was an honest mistake, and they treated me as if I was the worst criminal who could ever exist and so canceling the transaction that I was paying for which was like two dollars and not allowing me to use the restroom and the guy actually started calling the police. I don't think he could get a hold of anyone and sure they can review service to anyone but I wasn't there to harass or to steal two dollars worth of juice. I really just needed to go to the restroom before I check out and they wouldn't allow that and after they snatched the bottles, they wouldn't allow me to pay for them. I'm a bit traumatized from the experience and I didn't appreciate being treated like a thief and for them to not allow me to go to the restroom. Sometimes people can make mistakes and should be treated like human beings. So again, I don't know if this killer beehive response was because they have so many bad experiences or they have none and are already to react to any incident that occurs. Just be careful. These people are a bit offkilter.

The shampoo inside slowly oozed from the pump and now needed a cleanup right at the very spot every customer would have to cross to checkout . My heart stopped that very instant, but before I could even look up from the floor, one of the managers had a roll of towels and spray cleaner all over that slippery mess. The bottle was gone, my other items were on the counter and I was checking out as if nothing had happened at all. They were exceptionally gracious and forgiving and when I asked if they would like me to take (that) bottle ? They insisted that it wasn't necessary, so I found a substitute item on the kiosk instead. As embarrassing as that was for me, everybody treated me with such kindness and forgiveness, that I will look forward to shop that store more often for more items in the future.

The issue wasn't the store policy, it was the way she chose to communicate it. She was condescending, unnecessarily rude, and spoke to me loudly enough that I felt completely embarrassed in front of other customers. A simple, polite explanation would have been more than sufficient, especially considering I was trying to get a large amount of fragile merchandise safely to my car. Management should absolutely speak with Susie about how she communicates with customers. Customer-facing employees should be able to explain store policies respectfully without yelling at or embarrassing people. Based on my interaction with her, she would benefit from additional customer-service training or may be better suited for a position that is not customer-facing. I left what should have been a pleasant shopping experience feeling embarrassed and extremely disappointed by the way I was treated
