I rather go to better quality ice cream place or soft serve like Creamistry or Yougrtland. The Grilled food was limited at this place. I have been to the Aliso Viejo location which was way better. Better menu and selection. They don't seem to accept free cone day or certain coupons. Guess its a Franchise so they do whatever. The cashier that day was really good. He asked what my mother did for a living and how many people stayed with me. Very sketchy man. He didn't ask anything about my experience just wanted to know very specific things about me. Consistency is something top quality restaurants possess, and every blizzard I have at this Dairy Queen tastes the same. After seeing 1,000,000 commercials, I FINALLY decided to come back after 17 years. The last time I had Dairy Queen was when I was 10, oh oh, now you can figure out my age. I ordered vanilla milk shake, chocolate dipped ice-creme cone, turtle waffle bowl ice-creme. The quality of ice-creme is as bad as it can get. It tasted like frozen creme. It's so light in a bad way because you can't taste any ice-creme flavor at all. I felt that they just took some whipped creme in the freezer to make their so called ice-creme. Furthermore, their waffle bowl that was "supposed to be" freshly made was SOGGY. How can fresh waffle bowl be soggy? To get a waffle bowl soggy, that means it's been sitting there for who knows how long. Don't ever believe commercials, they're all lies. I don't think I would come back anymore until after another 1,000,000 commercials. It was definitely not worth the money. read more

I love visiting this Dairy Queen. Its in a nice area, and there's even a fountain nearby with a large grassy area that kids can play. My favorite things are that my daughter and I can ride our bikes here and enjoy our favorite frozen treat. Personally, mine is the Peanut Buster Parfait. The people are nice and they adhere to COVID regs. We moved farther away recently and this is a little trip that I'll miss doing. read more

I've been coming here since I was a little kid, 20 years later and I still find myself coming back to this specific DQ because none other can compare to this one.. At least the ones I have been to nearby! 5 stars for consistency. I order one thing and one thing only whenever I come here: the strawberry sundae. 5 stars for nostalgia, the fact that it still tastes exactly the same as when I was 6 makes it truly special, I get transported back to when my dad would drive us down to DQ at TMP to get my strawberry sundae & I would be so satisfied every time.. That sundae is timeless for me and the fact that they still can keep that going for me today, the fact that they never fail when it comes to giving me some major nostalgia in ice cream form is what keeps me coming back!! 5 stars for staying open all these years and staying true. Love DQ! Can never go wrong with a Blizzard. Love that they are one of the few places in Irvine that are open late since I usually get my sugar cravings way after dinner. This location is clean indoors and outdoors with friendly and quick working staff! We were there one night with an entire team of fire fighters ordering ahead of us (I know super cute right lol) and we still got our order in less than 10min. This location is close to the freeway at the Marketplace Plaza, has plenty of parking as well as outdoor seating. Will definitely be back often! read more

Pretty disappointed with how our blizzards turned out. Dairy Queen has been known for the chunky goodness in their blizzards. What we got was a pureed ice cream in a cup. My husband got the s'mores blizzard and I got the New York cheesecake with strawberries. Only texture was the strawberries that were under a thin layer of ice cream. Extremely disappointing. Not sure if it's the norm now however we were never given a receipt or offered if we wanted one. Thought that was odd...the girl seemed annoyed throughout our encounter. I love Dairy Queen but not this one. Maybe I had a bad experience cuz the cashier was on his first day but the other employee training/helping him was kind of a B. The bf and I came here after pigging out at Joey's BBQ to get something sweet. The cashier was having trouble putting in our order for a lemon lime freeze and a mango pineapple julius. He asked his coworker to help and all she did was point to button on the register and walk away. That was for our first drink. And he still had problems. Excited I was, disappointed I am. As I walked through the front door I was greeted with a familiar smell, that of my putrid incessant farts. Now, I wasn't using the restroom all right, I was waiting in line. Disgusted, I belched up a scramble of words ,"uh oh stinky." My sister got the Oreo and I got the M&Ms. After they finished making the blizzard, they would turn it upside down for us to see how sturdy the ice cream was. The small is HUGE! You could share this with someone. This is a great place to satisfy your childhood cravings. One complaint is that the M&Ms blizzard was just so sweet and the Oreo was just right. Dairy Queens seem a bit more spread out now, compared to when I was a wee lad. Fewer locations, perhaps, but that doesn't stop me from driving a comfortable ~15 minutes to the nearest location to satisfy my Blizzard cravings! I literally have not tried anything else aside from their Blizzards haha. Here's MY list: Oreo Cookies - THE classic. This one's just a time-tested favorite, and you can never go wrong with it! Just the perfect amount of delectably-sized chunks of Oreo cookie graces your ice cream cup, and the overall effect is just delicious. Mint Oreo - My regular go-to and personal favorite. :) Again, they add just the perfect amount of Oreo bits into the mix. The mint choco ice cream is superb; a true delight to the senses! Butterfinger - This one's really good too, but also really, really sweet haha. I generally stick to the two Oreo Blizzards, but overall not a bad choice here either. The flaky crisps and peanut butter bits are so good! Strawberry Shortcake - AKA 'Strawberry Cheesequake', which is awesome. Just tried this one last night, actually, and enjoyed every heavenly spoonful of the creation! They add the perfect amount of real chunks of cheesecake and strawberries, mixed in with vanilla soft serve. Simply marvelous. So it's just been those 4 Blizzards for me, but I just can't seem to expand outside that Mint Oreo or even this new Strawberry Shortcake. Wow. With that being said, what are you waiting for? Honestly would much rather go to McDonald's and get their soft serve - it's still just as good and also cheaper. If you have a nut allergy DO NOT come here. My teenage daughter ordered a blizzard with Oreo and cookie dough the other night with a friend. She Barely made it through the door before becoming violently ill. Luckily, she doesn't go into anaphylactic shock when exposed to nuts. When I called DQ to inform them what happened the gentleman on the phone insured me their topping are separate and cross contamination should not happened. The, with not so nice of a tone told me that my daughter should have informed them that she has a nut allergy... Which I fully agree! Then he proceeded to tell me if one does not tell them about a nut allergy they DO NOT clean the blizzard After each blizzard! What!!?? He told me " they don't have time especially if it's during a rush" That to me is reckless and absurd! After a night of shopping this was a perfect treat for myself and my son for being so patient while I shopped.
