I'm certain the nice-old-almost richest man in the world who owns Dairy Queen has not been briefed on the ice cream size shenanigans that DQ management is trying to pull off!!! Rip off is more like it!! I asked for a small and the cup they provided was preposterous!! I said, "no, not a kid's size, but a small, please". The young lady behind the counter then showed me what they're trying to sell as kids size. WTH?! You know when you order take out at a restaurant and ask for sauce on the side or a condiment? Okay, they had a "Free Ice Cream Cone" event to sponsor for the "Children's Miracle Network.." now I ordered a few ice cream cones but I was still charged when I left the shop?? They said I had to order small cones for it to be free, which is kind of odd because then what are they benefiting?? On this summer-like evening, what better way to end this day is to have something sweet at our go-to place not far from the house. Due to the pandemic, one enters from the left door and exits from the right where one of the workers would direct which of the 3 cashiers to order from. This establishment offers curbside pickup. All employees wore their masks and gloves. my partner ordered a hot triple chocolate brownie à la mode. Mine was simple as it was medium soft vanilla with pineapple in a cup. Try to get here during an off peak time right now, or else you'll be standing outside in line waiting to get in for like 15 minutes. Limited seating outside. Dirty, sticky tables. But despite all that, sometimes you just want some ice cream on a warm day. And this place can certainly hit the spot. They're very strict right now about masks inside, especially with kids. Dropped by on the first day of spring for a free cone cuz free food always tastes better. This is pretty close to my office, and I've been here a handful of other times. There is no indoor seating, but there is a table in front of the store where you can sit. Most of the time, it's taken and people lean on their cars in the parking lot. Went here recently and as soon as we got to the door we saw how crowded it was inside. Everyone has to pretty much stand on top of each other and talk to these workers thru little windows, the workers are like screaming at you and are on top of each other as well& when your ordering your ordering in the middle of other customers, its just a hot mess. All that space they have surrounding the building they need to expand their front end. I asked for a cotton candy cone and as im eating it i noticed it taste like mint. As im getting more and more down to the core theres a whole thing of mint ice cream and chunks of chocolate. If your going to use the same scoop for all ice cream please make sure its actually clean from the previous order because i asked for cotton candy not mint. read more

Litteraly anything is better than a blizzard that's melted before it leaves behind the counter and a grumpy man yelling at everyone to tell them when it's safe for you to come in the store. I am all for social distancing and a business establishment trying to protect their staff and customers, but screaming at people is not the way to do it! Being nice is what it's all about! I have been eating at this Dairy Queen for years and I've noticed the same attitude from the same person. I've been to many other Dairy Queen's (dine-in included) and this is by far the most unwelcoming. The employees who take your order also look as though they don't want to be there! I won't be going back for a while, it's location is convenient but I would much rather drive further to get my money's worth of ice cream and service. Plus in order to protect people from the virus you would think they would keep the place clean, there was dried Ice cream all over the door handle meaning it had not been sanitized in quite some time, and there was a clump of something on the side of section #2's register. read more

Came here on free cone day with my friend Nick C. to ease my bruised ego on losing a bet and acquiring a lifetime of teasing. What I first noticed about walking in here was the massive what looked like to be a bullet proof window between me and the cashier. Not sure if that's really necessary since we were in Saddle Brook. One of my towns old school staples on restaurant row, this location has been here as far back as I remember. I know one thing that has changed over past years was they used to close up during the winter and now they stay open, nothing much else has changed over the years. Not a whole lot to say here, a chain ice cream joint with your normal stuff ie-soft serve, ice cream cakes, etc. This place gets packed when it's hot in the summer but sometimes you just have to go and get that peanut butter cup or Oreo blizzard. This is how I personally discovered my love for chocolate blizzards. What pot luck is is all of the "opps" orders for the day. You walk in and buy someone else's opps orders. You will usually get a better pot luck if you order something fresh too. Pot luck is 3 for $2. Can't beat that deal ! Last week I tried the new royal blizzard. I am not sure about the big deal for this. Mine was not very Royal inside, while my boyfriends regular blizzard seemed to have more ingredients offered in his than I did. It's an ice-cream only Dairy Queen. Nothing special, but solid. DQ ice cream is pretty much the same everywhere, so I wont go on about it. Save to say, they don't do anything incorrectly, like make the freezers too cold so everything gets icy. Everything here is fine. Service used to be pretty terrible, but the latest batches of ever-rotating college kids seem to be pretty good: fast, polite, friendly. Would be a 4 star, but the location is pretty meh. Right on a major road, there needs to be more seating and fewer emissions from buses and other automobiles, for this to be a pleasant place to sit and eat ice cream. read more

The guy who took my order was so rude I have never and will never return here again. I came after lunch, only 1 other customer. This is how he took my order (1blizzard) "yeah what do you want" then after he made it (poorly) then he says "what else" like he was so annoyed to be there. As an employee at this location, im appalled by a handful customers, we usually never have an issue with our customer service and customers leave our store happy. Us 16-21 yr old workers working for minimum wage get cursed at and berated like we did some thing wrong when all we ask is for customers to keep their masks on. "I have asthma" Frankly, i have asthma, im very high risk, chronic bronchitis and my lungs give out 4 times a year and i have to wear a mark 6-8 hours and i dont complain and customers is "i dont give a f***" All we ask is you cover your face for the 2 minutes youre in the store or we now have Door Dash as an option. Please stop fighting us when people are uncomfortable with your lack of social distancing and wear your mask properly. If I'm healthy, and a covid sick patient walks in without a mask, my mask does nothing. I beg of you as an employees who just came from quarentine for 5 months to just follow the CDC regulations. This location of dairy queen does everything in our power to stop the spread of covid and regularly wipe counters and handles down and also have a man at the door asking you to wear a mask properly. Thats all we ask during these times. We also recently had a customer who called us "racist" which is a disgusting accusation on which nothing "racist" was said. I always come here when I have the chance! I love almost everything on their menu the staff is very nice unless you arrive an hour before closing because they were rude to me. I walked into this ice cream shop, at 9:50 when it closes at 10:30.. to order a triple chocolate brownie to be told the oven was turned off.. why is the stores oven turned off 40 minutes before closing is beyond me, they should be shut off after the doors are locked losing money on sales is horrible don't recommend coming here!!!! read more
