Dairy Queen Store - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saddle Brook, New Jersey

Certainly one of my favorite Dairy Queen's. Although they all serve pretty much the same exact menu each one is a little bit different I really enjoy the service here and the quality of the food. The parking lot is very easy to park in. There is a nice seating area outside which is nice in the warm months read more

That's it !!! Get Warren Buffett on the phone!! I'm certain the nice-old-almost richest man in the world who owns Dairy Queen has not been briefed on the ice cream size shenanigans that DQ management is trying to pull off!!! Rip off is more like it!! I asked for a small and the cup they provided was preposterous!! I said, "no, not a kid's size, but a small, please". The young lady behind the counter then showed me what they're trying to sell as kids size. WTH?! You know when you order take out at a restaurant and ask for sauce on the side or a condiment? It's that little container that DQ is trying to pull off as kids size. This is insane! I am not showing photos of the sizes because even the camera can't capture the essence of this travesty!! Listen to me - I know I'm portion-control-challenged to begin with but, wow, this just ain't right!! Warren - time to lean in, man!! Heads need to roll at DQ management!! read more

Okay, they had a "Free Ice Cream Cone" event to sponsor for the "Children's Miracle Network.." now I ordered a few ice cream cones but I was still charged when I left the shop?? They said I had to order small cones for it to be free, which is kind of odd because then what are they benefiting?? If they are helping the children shouldn't they do this event every day until the summer?? And then they can charge extra for toppings?? I am just confused, still paid full price for an ice cream cone.. read more

On this summer-like evening, what better way to end this day is to have something sweet at our go-to place not far from the house. Due to the pandemic, one enters from the left door and exits from the right where one of the workers would direct which of the 3 cashiers to order from. This establishment offers curbside pickup. All employees wore their masks and gloves. my partner ordered a hot triple chocolate brownie à la mode. Mine was simple as it was medium soft vanilla with pineapple in a cup. There were quite a few patrons sitting outside. We opted to have our treats in the car and weren't the only ones. read more

Good service. Good ice cream. All the employees are courteous and work hard. Considered essential workers during covid which baffles my mind. Tip them well!!! read more

Try to get here during an off peak time right now, or else you'll be standing outside in line waiting to get in for like 15 minutes. Limited seating outside. Dirty, sticky tables. But despite all that, sometimes you just want some ice cream on a warm day. And this place can certainly hit the spot. They're very strict right now about masks inside, especially with kids. It's very tight inside, so keep that in mind. read more

Great blizzards and shakes! They are open late and satisfy the sweet tooth craving. All the items that we have tried are amazing! The raspberry fudge blizzard, choco hazelnut shake, hot fudge shake all of them are delicious. read more

i went in to this dairy queen this evening with my mom. the first thing that threw me off was the fact that the girl behind the counter had her hair down and not tied back. there were 3 family's waiting to be served including myself. the girl did not help one single person. Instead, she proceeded to sample almost every flavor of the hard ice cream. she was going from flavor to flavor. almost everyone in the store was appalled. it was disgusting. will never return read more

Three kids working. All are milling around not taking my order. I gave up and left. lol

Wife was Jonesing for some soft serve Vanilla ice cream. We stopped in and bought 2 vanilla soft serve cones, one with chocolate dip and one with chocolate sprinkles. The ice cream was tasteless. Zero flavor. I think they must use it as a base for all the combinations they offer. I threw it out as it was not worth the calories. Need to find a soft serve ice cream store with some flavor. read more

Dropped by on the first day of spring for a free cone cuz free food always tastes better. This is pretty close to my office, and I've been here a handful of other times. There is no indoor seating, but there is a table in front of the store where you can sit. Most of the time, it's taken and people lean on their cars in the parking lot. Their offerings are the same as every other Dairy Queen in the area. They don't have their fast food burgers/hotdogs/fries available. Standard spot to get an ice cream fix. read more

Nothing different here than any other DQ. I had to come here for my free cone on the first day of spring! It does have the look and feel of an older DQ which kind of made me feel like a kid again, but lets all be honest, there is better Ice cream out there. But hey, every once in awhile everyone craves a blizzard, am I right? read more

Dairy Queen Store - Free cone for spring - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saddle Brook, New Jersey

Quality ice cream served by polite and courteous staff. I always look forward to stopping by.

Went here recently and as soon as we got to the door we saw how crowded it was inside. Everyone has to pretty much stand on top of each other and talk to these workers thru little windows, the workers are like screaming at you and are on top of each other as well& when your ordering your ordering in the middle of other customers, its just a hot mess. All that space they have surrounding the building they need to expand their front end. I asked for a cotton candy cone and as im eating it i noticed it taste like mint. As im getting more and more down to the core theres a whole thing of mint ice cream and chunks of chocolate. If your going to use the same scoop for all ice cream please make sure its actually clean from the previous order because i asked for cotton candy not mint. read more

Dairy Queen Store - Mint in my cotton candy, disappointing! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Saddle Brook, New Jersey

What better way to spend your first few extremely hot days out of quarantine than with a nice cold Dairy Queen blizzard!? Anything! Litteraly anything is better than a blizzard that's melted before it leaves behind the counter and a grumpy man yelling at everyone to tell them when it's safe for you to come in the store. I am all for social distancing and a business establishment trying to protect their staff and customers, but screaming at people is not the way to do it! Being nice is what it's all about! I have been eating at this Dairy Queen for years and I've noticed the same attitude from the same person. I've been to many other Dairy Queen's (dine-in included) and this is by far the most unwelcoming. The employees who take your order also look as though they don't want to be there! I won't be going back for a while, it's location is convenient but I would much rather drive further to get my money's worth of ice cream and service. Plus in order to protect people from the virus you would think they would keep the place clean, there was dried Ice cream all over the door handle meaning it had not been sanitized in quite some time, and there was a clump of something on the side of section #2's register. read more

Came here on free cone day with my friend Nick C. to ease my bruised ego on losing a bet and acquiring a lifetime of teasing. What I first noticed about walking in here was the massive what looked like to be a bullet proof window between me and the cashier. Not sure if that's really necessary since we were in Saddle Brook. There is no indoor sitting but on a nice day you can take your ice cream and eat outside and watch people wash their cars. Nothing really different menu wise from every other DQ. read more

Quick Service 2 for 1 Deals In Newspaper If You Like DQ This Will Do The line moves quickly and you can always catch a deal here if you look in the local community newspaper. Not a very scenic location but it's convenient, the parking situation is poor so I just eat my ice cream and go. Tastes just like DQ anywhere else. read more

One of my towns old school staples on restaurant row, this location has been here as far back as I remember. I know one thing that has changed over past years was they used to close up during the winter and now they stay open, nothing much else has changed over the years. Not a whole lot to say here, a chain ice cream joint with your normal stuff ie-soft serve, ice cream cakes, etc. This place gets packed when it's hot in the summer but sometimes you just have to go and get that peanut butter cup or Oreo blizzard. Like most DQ's in this area this location is ice cream only, no food or indoor seating. read more

This Dairy Queen is one of the highest performing units in this area. Apparently this "Gold Mine" is now taking advantage of it's customers by charging 70 cents to use a Credit Card to pay for their order. This proprietor needs to be educated that Credit Card processing fees are simply a cost of doing business just like Rent,Utilities, Labor, Insurance, Repairs, and Product costs. I will be taking my business elswhere. read more

Hot fudge, vanilla, and peanuts.....awesome. The service is hit or miss, the prices are decent. Usually my go to Dairy Queen in the area. read more

Rude. Poor service. Poor location. If I wanted a snotty attitude from a kid for no reason, I would have had children. You can throw a stone in any direction and hit a dairy queen; so, I won't be returning to this one. read more

Always get good ice cream here. It's not some fancy home made place but always get the items quick and decent pricing. If you want some kind of fancy Carmel maple bacon pecan flavor, this won't be the place to get it but for a nice soft ice cream cone, always a good spot. read more

Pot luck. If you have no idea what you want from Dairy Queen and are open to expand the horizons to something new, go to Dairy Queen and ask for pot luck. This is how I personally discovered my love for chocolate blizzards. What pot luck is is all of the "opps" orders for the day. You walk in and buy someone else's opps orders. You will usually get a better pot luck if you order something fresh too. Pot luck is 3 for $2. Can't beat that deal ! Last week I tried the new royal blizzard. I am not sure about the big deal for this. Mine was not very Royal inside, while my boyfriends regular blizzard seemed to have more ingredients offered in his than I did. Willing to try again thinking the gentleman that made my order could be new and new to making the newer blizzards. This location in Saddle Brook you could sit outside on the benches. Cute spot. I dig it. read more

Just your regular local Dairy Queen, nothing special. Great ice cream though, the staff is friendly and quick. No complaints over here!

Good solid DQ experience. On my visit the people behind the counter were blazingly fast getting the orders out and nothing was missing on the quality side. read more

It's an ice-cream only Dairy Queen. Nothing special, but solid. DQ ice cream is pretty much the same everywhere, so I wont go on about it. Save to say, they don't do anything incorrectly, like make the freezers too cold so everything gets icy. Everything here is fine. Service used to be pretty terrible, but the latest batches of ever-rotating college kids seem to be pretty good: fast, polite, friendly. Would be a 4 star, but the location is pretty meh. Right on a major road, there needs to be more seating and fewer emissions from buses and other automobiles, for this to be a pleasant place to sit and eat ice cream. read more

Great service! Delicious ice cream! Try the hot fudge sundaes. Plenty of toppings to choose from.

Service is fast, ice cream is fresh and we love to make a road trip there. Their ice cream cakes are also good.

This was my first time going since the pandemic started. There was a young man at the door letting in one customer at a time. There were clear signs stating appropriate safety measures. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and efficiency of this location. read more

Talk about attitude! I went there on a Friday night with my two kids. I got them each a small ice cream. I asked the FUGLY Red Headed girl working there for a topping on one of the ice creams and she yells at me "No." They can't add toppings to small ice creams? Now that's a first!!! read more

The guy who took my order was so rude I have never and will never return here again. I came after lunch, only 1 other customer. This is how he took my order (1blizzard) "yeah what do you want" then after he made it (poorly) then he says "what else" like he was so annoyed to be there. It's too bad I live right around the corner but I won't go here I'd rather drive to Rochelle Park because they are much nicer. read more

Pretty standard for a DQ, nothing too crazy. Not that I come here too often but have never had an issue. After all, my order is pretty hard to screw up: vanilla cup with hot fudge. read more

Pricey with smaller portions but still a nice place to visit for an ice cream treat.

As an employee at this location, im appalled by a handful customers, we usually never have an issue with our customer service and customers leave our store happy. Us 16-21 yr old workers working for minimum wage get cursed at and berated like we did some thing wrong when all we ask is for customers to keep their masks on. "I have asthma" Frankly, i have asthma, im very high risk, chronic bronchitis and my lungs give out 4 times a year and i have to wear a mark 6-8 hours and i dont complain and customers is "i dont give a f***" All we ask is you cover your face for the 2 minutes youre in the store or we now have Door Dash as an option. Please stop fighting us when people are uncomfortable with your lack of social distancing and wear your mask properly. If I'm healthy, and a covid sick patient walks in without a mask, my mask does nothing. I beg of you as an employees who just came from quarentine for 5 months to just follow the CDC regulations. This location of dairy queen does everything in our power to stop the spread of covid and regularly wipe counters and handles down and also have a man at the door asking you to wear a mask properly. Thats all we ask during these times. We also recently had a customer who called us "racist" which is a disgusting accusation on which nothing "racist" was said. Were minimum wage workers and some customers when they dont get their way, throw blizzards and other ice creams at out windows or us. Assaulting us and breaking our windows. read more

I always come here when I have the chance! I love almost everything on their menu the staff is very nice unless you arrive an hour before closing because they were rude to me. I just wanted ice cream and they were already cleaning. Can't put your anger out on me if I was there an hour before not 10 minutes before closing. Overall great ice cream. read more

I walked into this ice cream shop, at 9:50 when it closes at 10:30.. to order a triple chocolate brownie to be told the oven was turned off.. why is the stores oven turned off 40 minutes before closing is beyond me, they should be shut off after the doors are locked losing money on sales is horrible don't recommend coming here!!!! read more

Online says they close at 11 pm. Store sign says 10:30 pm. Neither matters since they lock the doors before 10:30 pm. This is not how you run a business. Lost a customer now and in the future. read more
