First time trying this place! It was super clean, and I loved that they proactively give you free sample cups, which not all places do post Covid. Was welcomed when I came through the door. Self-serve froyo brings me back to 2010-2014 when there was about 6-7 stores within a few miles radius. I actually used to work in one back in the day! I'm sad to see so many locations go. RIP Tutti Frutti, Frozen Peaks, TCBY, Red Mango... I wanted to satisfy my craving and decided on 16 Handles. It's located in a plaza with a lot of restaurants so parking can be congested and crazy. I was greeted immediately when I walked in. They have 16 flavors to choose from; some are sugar-free and vegan. The nutrient facts for each are displayed next to them. It's self-serve and charges a set price per ounce so you decide how much you want. I grabbed a cup and filled it with half Eurotart (my go to) and Salted Caramel. Now for the toppings... They had a good variety of everything- nuts, candies, chocolates, fruits, sauces, etc. I'm usually a "froyo purist", meaning that I don't really like to add toppings to my cup. BUT I'm a sucker for mochi... which they didn't have :( so I was bummed by that. I ended up adding some gummy bears and cookie dough bites. When I got to the register, I placed my cup on the scale and the total came out to around $7. You can very easily hike up the price by overloading on toppings and froyo so be mindful! Eurotart is one of my favorite flavors; it's a perfect "original" flavor with a tarty, refreshing taste. The Salted Caramel was spot on- sweet, salty, smooth, and creamy. It bugs me when froyo places have watery or icy consistencies but this wasn't the case here. I will come back to satisfy my sweet tooth! read more

What a nice location! With all the surrounding eateries, 16 Handles is the perfect spot for post-meal dessert/sweet treat. The staff was very nice and welcoming, which is honestly something I wouldn't have expected from a 16 Handles. I've never gotten to try the Oatly flavors so I was super excited when I saw they had Vanilla and Chocolate. They also had stock of a lot of toppings and many new ones like a Do cookie dough collab with Chips Ahoy and Oreo, some black and white cookies, and a lot of sweet topping options. They also have games like Jenga and Uno which we took advantage of while sitting in to avoid the rain. read more

I haven't had froyo in a while, so we decided to go to 16 Handles one Saturday evening. There are maybe 10-15 flavors to choose from (some are seasonal) so you DIY, add your own toppings, and then they weigh it at the end. Be careful though, because this adds up quick. It's pretty expensive so if let's say you were a family of four who came in, you'll be paying $50 at the minimum. But you're not coming here because the frozen yogurt is amazing. You're coming here for the experience and the novelty of it all. It's nice for a once in a while treat. read more

We visited here on a Wednesday early evening (around 5:30ish). It's in a busy shopping center but there's plenty of parking. It was empty when we arrived but as we were adding the toppings, a decent crowd came in. The cups were all well stocked. The place itself was very clean. They have many options & cater to different dietary needs (i.e. dairy free). They have a wide variety of toppings. The kids enjoyed it and it's close to home. If you know Teterboro Landing - it's almost always spilling over with people and (bad) drivers so it's nice to dip in here where it's a bit quieter and less hectic. It's totally self-serve, so you can go at your own pace. Then mosey on up to the counter to interact with the sole worker (and their tip jar, of course!) to pay (by weight) for your creation. A solid amount of flavors ("lemme guess... 16 of them?!") that taste pretty good and a slew of toppings (they really make all the difference to give your treat some texture and crunch and pizzazz). More expensive (and not as good) as your classic "ice cream shoppe" but it's a solid (enough) spot. (And we do like '16' better than their archrivals, Cups.) read more

The only thing I was disappointed with were the flavors; there weren't as many and also they were very similar (two types of vanillas and two types of cheesecakes). Not bad at all. I would say who cares about decor in these type of spots, but wifey liked the look of the place. Friendly staff, not crowded,and they give you one or two little sample cups so you can try a flavor or two before picking your main choices. It's the basic frozen yogurt joint self-serve deal. Been to such places with more selections of the yogurt (though I suppose the theme limits it to 16 - still not bad), but they definitely had a decent range of toppings to choose from. Tasted good, and I would say the prices are actually pretty good. Two decent sized cups full for under $6. If you like yogurt spots like this, it's worth a shot, I would say stop in. read more

Love this place! So many fro yo options and low calorie options for people watching their waistlines. For those not watching their waistlines, they did a collab with Do NYC and this was the best decision they could have made. I happily made half my froyo creation half raw cookie dough and it was epic. Lots of cookie dough options too (at least 5+). An absolute ton of topping options and sauce options as well. I'm a huge fan of 16 handles however this place is getting 2 stars because the place didn't look clean. The counter and the yogurt machine didn't look clean. I've worked at a ice cream stores when I was in college and there's no way we would've been able to keep our place looking like the way this location looked today. Great place for best tasting froyo I have had in a while! When we walked in, they offered us sample cups and they were so friendly! I've had three samples and got full because I had just had dinner. My husband purchased though. Their euro tart is so tarty and delicious! I've sampled their taro as well and it's so true to its flavor! Some other favorites are Nutella and peanut butter. The toppings are neatly labeled and not messy! They had real cookie dough bites (a little bigger than a bite though). One of my go to toppings are granola and they didn't have like ordinary granola though. They had chunks of granola so I didn't get that one. They also had 3 types of berries. I was so disappointed at this place. First of all I got two small frozen yogurt cups and was charged 17 dollars which in any other place cost half that price always. Second of all they advertise they have yogurt chips which are definitely not yogurt chips they are 100% white chocolate chips. Third the cashier was so rude and on his phone the entire time. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, two waters and a cake batter cookie dough froyo cup through doordash (because I'm away from home and without a car). My order was expected to arrive 40 minutes after being placed. When I opened my bag, my smoothie was purple with seeds through it and my cookie dough was a small ball in a separate container. I understand it was to go but the proportions were off. I checked my order thinking I accidentally ordered the wrong item; I did not. I proceeded to call the store and ask why I hadn't received what I ordered; the employee was extremely rude stating and repeating "I did not make the order. I don't know what you want me to do." I asked what flavor my smoothie was and her response was "maybe blueberry, raspberry strawberry - I dont know I didnt make it." They were out of strawberry banana and decided to send me something else which I was unable to even drink because I'm allergic to blueberries. There is NO EXCUSE for the mess I witnessed today at this location. I walked in and noticed right away the place did not smell fresh. I went to fill up my cup only to realize that I was stepping in a pool of melted frozen yogurt. There were hazard signs to watch your step.. um, instead of putting up hazard signs how about you just clean up the huge mess? I walked in and walked out. This is a self serve frozen yogurt store that also sells a variety of drinks as well like smoothies and milkshakes. The frozen yogurt itself tastes pretty good, where some flavors taste pretty good, while others taste a bit off (I love vanilla, but the vanilla tasted a bit different to me when I came in). This store is also pretty expensive. It seems that the price per unit when you weigh your yogurt at, seems to be much higher than the other stores that I have been to. read more

My first two visits here when it first opened were awesome. They had various flavors of frozen yogurts and a lot of different toppings. The staff in the beginning are all smiles too. Later on, the staff barely pay attention to you. They only look at you when you walk in and not always necessarily greet you. There's less toppings and some of the frozen yogurt come out super runny. They have numerous employees ensuring everything is kept spotless and someone even manning the Machines handing out free samples and such to try before making a purchase.
