My girlfriends and I decided to come here for dessert after a luncheon. The service was great, but very slow. There was only one staff member working behind the counter. The atmosphere was very spacious. We sat in the main area, but I believe I saw additional seating in the back of the store. One of my girlfriends love the ice cream. My other girlfriend enjoyed her cappuccino. I enjoyed my sundae, but it had too many pistachios. I was hooked when I read Dubai style. I need to look at the picture more carefully next time. I did buy the Chocolate Covered Cherries to go. They were absolutely heavenly. I will definitely go back to try some more items on their menu. read more

Really good and I love the ice cream selection. The place is super big and I honestly love the selection and it smells so good in here. Our first time trying out this spot! We thought it was new, but they've been around for 8 years. When was walked in we saw 3 people (looked like 2 workers and 1 manager or owner). They were behind the counter creating what looked like Dubai cups. We were kinda greeted with a low hello. Which we thought was disappointing due to our excitement for being our first time, and a manager(owner) present. One of the workers eventually came to take our order. She was pleasant. Overall we just found it odd how a manager or owner could be on site and not greet us! If we were "regulars" maybe she would have, but in customer service everyone should be treated equally. I just love, love, love this place! Every time I visit, it's a pleasant experience! First, when you walk in, it always smells incredible. Everything you get here is super fresh. They have seasonal flavors for ice cream, which I love. they also have to-go cartons for your ice cream of choice. Today I had a salted caramel milkshake, which was perfection. I also get shredded chocolate here to make my own hot chocolate. I have purchased their individual chocolates as well as their caramel apples, both are incredible. This is a real pleasant surprise in the middle of Cliffside Park. I honestly didn't expect to find a great ice cream shop in the area. Even though this is a chain, I was still a big fan of their offerings, enough to go back several times. The variety of ice cream is pretty solid, and I'm a fan of their mint chocolate flavor in particular. The texture is perfect, not too runny or sticky and the sweetness level was just right. The store also offers a lot of other goodies such as chocolates, candies etc. The staff was very friendly and always very attentive. There are some outdoor tables but I was glad to see they had a few small tables sprinkled inside too. It is helpful to be able to sit indoors when it's scorching outside to give the ice cream a little more shelf life! I tested this place out when they first opened and then again this past summer, the ice cream really does not hold a candle to numerous ice cream parlors around the area. From what I've experienced the ice cream leaves a grainy texture in your mouth, which isn't something I equate with a good experience. My star rating is truly based on my ice cream experience with Kilwins and nothing more. Digging a little deeper - the staff on the other hand were so warm and kind during my visit - everyone who works there really seems to be enjoying themselves. The majority of the store is decorated with chocolate goodies and is something I would like to come back to test out. They have options that are created for grab and go and also give you the option to customize boxes based on your tastes. Unfortunately we've had many occasions where the food was stale. From peanut brittle to popcorn to marshmallow pops. They just don't get rid of old merchandise. The chocolate is sub par and when you have Krause's right around the corner with far superior chocolate and better prices, the choice has become clear. We got three customized boxes of sweet treats, which the person behind the counter carefully and beautifully squeezed into the boxes. She was so nice! Ordered three flavors of ice creams including a waffle cone which was served warm. Ice cream was tasty and flavorful. They carry a variety of chocolates, candies, taffy, small and large packaged sweets. Truly a nice addition to the area for anyone with a sweet tooth. There are few tables for patrons who wants to enjoy their sweets right at the spot. Only down side was that there is no parking lot and you have to find a space on the street then walk up. read more

I came here with my daughter because we have always loved this place. It has always been a fun and great place for her to enjoy her favorite ice cream and a nice place for a mom when I wanted to reward her... I went in today and order her usual and get the tiniest scoop and probably 13 pieces of rainbow sprinkles for additional charge. I paid almost $9 for it. What a nice addition to the neighborhood! We happened to see it when we went to the Sedona Taphouse for dinner which is located at the same new luxury rental building on Anderson Ave. When we walked in, we knew we were there for a nice treat. You could smell fresh chocolate and everything in the store simply looked so delicious. The staff were super friendly and gave out samples such as those fudge and brittles. We got some chocolate covered pretzels which were freshly made in the store and they tasted amazing! And the cookies and cream ice cream in a cone was so creamy although a bit pricey at $5.30. I didn't realize that this is a chain with stores all over the country. Would definitely come back to get those ice cream cakes for upcoming birthdays and holidays. read more

Visiting a friend who recently moved into the high rise right outside the entry to Kilwins and her new baby my boys and I were heading down to municipal parking and stumbled into Kilwins. The man working (manager / owner idk) was extremely pleasant. He immediately offered my oldest fudge samples after asking me if he had amy allergy before allowing him to choose a fudge to try. I went over to the in-house chocolate case to inquire about a couple options to take back to my husband and he broke down what's made in-house and what's made in WI and shipped. He took out some freshly made pistachio bark and gave me a piece while I browsed which was super yummy and I asked him to back some up. My boys and I moved over to the ice cream case and the 4yo of course asked for SuperMan which is his go to at Kilwins and annoying to me because it's a pile of 20 colors moreSO BLUE which turns his lips and mouth blue for hours. I took my grandson to Kilwins in Cliffside Park and the store was just about closing, the lights were out. The owner saw me and my grandson by the door. I was about to leave because I knew it was closing time. The owner came out and asked us to come in and he would gladly serve me and my grandson. He put the lights on and made my grand son a vanilla ice cream cup with sprinkles, he then asked me what I would like, I felt bad and said nothing, he insisted so I had a cappuccino. As this was happening other people walked into the store and they were all happily served. I have tried Kilwins in other states. I found out from their website that they were opening one in this new Cliffside Park apartment/business building, so got to try it out. The shop is pretty big. They sell all type of sweets, chocolate, fudge, ice cream, and a lot of gift items. They are well displayed. The staffs are really friendly. The ice cream is pretty good, but for 2 scoops, they charge $6.99 plus tax, which I thought was really really expensive and for that, I'm only giving 4 stars. I've been meaning to come to this place since I saw the construction about a year ago. Cliffside Park was in need of a really good ice cream shop and then this placed popped up. I was around the neighborhood and decided to try it. As you first walk in, you enter what appears to be a chocolate factory. There's all sorts of candy and fudge all around the store. Everything looked hand crafted and beautiful. I met this really nice guy named KORAY. He was super nice and sweet and let me try a few of the fudge and ice cream flavors. He was super informative and as excited as I was to try some of the things at the store. I ended up getting some ice cream. The chocolate caramel cashew, coconut crunch and cappuccino ice cream was amazing! The waffle cone had the perfect sweetness. They charge by weight and not really by scoop which was a bit confusing but nevertheless. I had a great experience and will definitely come back here.. read more
