Lovely corner shop that's well lit. The staff was friendly and offered up samples of some of the yummy ice creams. We tried the Mango sorbet which was vegan and Beth flavorful. I stopped in here because I wanted some chocolate. I was happy with the service, because I was greeted by a gentleman who was so pleasant and really knew about the chocolates that they had to offer here. Omg....I haven't had such amazing gelato ever. I am not a sweets person but wow, I was blown away by this tiramisu & caramel combo. It also had chocolate/hazelnut on the inside of the cup. Kenny the supervisor was the best, so attentive & offered samples since I told him it was my first time & he knew I was overwhelmed with options. It was so busy here for a Tuesday night but the line was moving quickly & it didn't take long. It was bright & vibrant in there, would definitely go back! read more

Got a large cup which is up to 3 flavors I got the - pistachio - brutto & buono (milk chocolate and hazelnut) - stracciatella (milk and chocolate chips) They were all good the pistachio one has pieces of pistachio in it so that was cool because usually it's like a smooth base but this was different. The chocolate and hazelnut was good as well and the stracciatella. I liked eating those together. The stracciatella tasted more like pure milk than vanilla it was super creamy. It's also a chocolate shop so you can buy from their wall of chocolates. Cool place, the service was good, and the place inside is just a bunch of chocolate. Great place read more

The architecture of this place is very dangerous. They have all glass windows causes people to walk into it blindly. It's too bad that businesses don't realize this or care about it. They only care about the panache. read more

TDLR: Pricey gelato but very cute spot! Normal flavors (caramel, straciatella, cheesecake) and yummy cones. 8/10 for price and portion size. There's nothing like a quick gelato stop on a warm summer night... If you're close by I'd recommend trying this place! Super cute interior and kind servers. The music selection inside was also pretty good! $9 for a regular cup but you can pick a smaller cup or cone if you'd like for a little less. I would recommend sharing with a friend if you'd like! Venchi has delicious chocolate and there is a consistent line out the door in the summer for their gelato. This was my first time trying their gelato and it was delicious. I ordered a cone with 2 scoops: Cappuccino and Stracciatella ($7.90). I'm not a coffee-lover, but loved the Cappuccino flavor. Incredibly reliable place for dessert. The seasonal flavors are always really good but you can also never go wrong with the mango here. It is pricey but definitely worth it for the quality and they have a few too good to go deals that are really good. read more

Venchi, an Italian sweetshop known for their fine chocolates and gelato, recently opened its fourth location in NYC near Lincoln Center.  Venchi sells chocolates, bon bons, pralines, truffles, hazelnut spread, hot chocolate, shakes, and crepes.  While I do appreciate good chocolate, I'm actually not a chocoholic and mainly visited this shop for their gelato.  And boy, do they have excellent gelato! I ordered a cup of the green pistachio and hazelnut. It was absolutely delicious. The texture was silky and soft. The pistachio and hazelnut both had nice nutty flavor. I also got a small jar of their Suprema Crema XV which is basically a hazelnut spread. This was a great purchase and I actually think this is even tastier than Nutella. It's more flavorful and kinda of reminds me of their hazelnut gelato. The texture was delicate and creamy. So far I've eaten it with fruit (strawberries and bananas) and on toast. It's very addicting! As for prices, they are on the higher end but if you're looking for a nice treat or looking for gift ideas, this place is great option. read more

The gelato here is fine -- it's nothing extraordinary. The service is pretty bad. I mean, the place is packed, and I get it -- it's surely a grind to work here, slapping out cones all day. But good grief, the staff tonight made it feel like it was an absolute burden to do so. Husband got strawberry in a cone. i had the dark chocolate and the hazelnut scoops in a cup. Venchi is a good go to when you need some good gelato. I got lemon sorbet recently which was so tasty. Very lemony. It can be kinda pricey, but that's gelato in NYC. Be aware, the restaurant doesn't have much seating. Most locations that I've been to don't. read more

I stumbled upon this spot after going to the movies at AMC Lincoln Square 13. There were roughly a dozen people in the store so I looked on yelp and sure enough I saw the average rating of 3 stars mainly due to their service. I was contemplating but decided to try the place anyway. I ordered a large which allowed me to get 3 flavors. I asked about the flavors and got an ignorant response followed by eye rolls. They should honestly reconsider their job if they don't like it. That aside, the pistchio gelato was very nutty and creamy. The cremino is their most popular flavor but it tastes like stale hazelnut... the tiramisu was just okay. Lastly the raspberry was mainly just tarty. read more

Venchi is so delicious I had to visit every location last year. The first time I ate Venchi was when I found the location near 14th Street Union Square by accident. I had no idea I would find this location on the Upper West Side closer to home. As soon as it warms up I'll be walking over for another scoop. It's creamy and has a taste smooth that is unique to me. Loved this very charming, quaint, yet decorative place! It was perfect for quick snack stop on a very warm summer day. They had a few seats outside and inside with A/C yet open doors for ventilation, so it was ideal! Their ice cream is amazing. I ordered chocolate dipped cones with nuts, and they dipped and sprinkled the nuts on my cone in front of me. I had two scoops -- raspberry and mango. It's one if or if not the best, cold creamy gelato I've tasted in awhile (since being in Europe). Enough for two people, it was a perfect stop before the weather melted me away. The workers were so nice and one in particular was very warm and gregarious, it made we feel welcome and comfortable to sit inside the store to enjoy the dessert. read more

We were out on a beautiful warm October night in the Upper West Side and came across the perfect dessert: gelato! There was a line out the door, which moved fairly quickly. It is a corner location so there was outdoor seating on both sides. The regular serving size is 2 scoops which you can mix and match. I charged my payment and the screen gives you tipping options which I was a little too fast and tipped more than planned. The chocolate gelato was rich and cremino was delish. Service was fast and efficient. There is a new loyalty program V-Club if you frequent Venchi to earn rewards. read more

Dishonest sell person! Went to the shop for the first time. Ordered 3 regular cones. After telling the sell person my order, she immediately asked if we want the chocolate or hazelnut toppings for the cones as if it is included. She actually opt us in the gourmet cone $2.2 extra for each cone without telling us. Watch out. I recommend that you go to another branch. Really poor service overall! read more

Helloooo World, I decided to visit Venchi, yesterday they had a long line which moved very fast so already I was happy with that and that they had some tables outside making accessible for you to enjoy your treats. The place it's large location but very nicely done. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to decide faster what I was going to get...,I wanted to try all the gelato's but I decide for strawberry was so decadent!! So fresh really could taste the strawberries in it...I was very happy. The best from Venchi they're Vegan no eggs..also I enjoyed very much the dark chocolate on side with my gelato. We ordered our gelatos, paid for them and then sat outside in the chairs in front of the store. We went in to get our gelatos and they said they weren't making the gelatos for us because it didn't seem like we wanted them. This is crazy and ridiculous customer service. read more

I was waiting at the bus stop outside the shop and was in the mood for some chocolates so I went in and selected a dozen or so from the bright colorful display. Very expensive at $14.50 a quarter pound after taking them home and starting to eat them, they were stale and old and dried out. I don't think they replenish that display very often read more
