Ah, Venchi. The name alone sounds like it should be whispered over a string quartet while sipping something expensive on a balcony in Rome. But instead, there I was--standing in front of their glorious gelato counter, eyes wide, heart full, and indecisive as ever. Let's start with the moment: my first bite of their olive oil gelato. I don't say this lightly--it was transcendental. Like, "is this what Botticelli tasted when painting Venus?" kind of moment. That velvety olive oil richness hits you up front with confidence and elegance, like a well-dressed Italian man offering you espresso and secrets. Sure, the intensity mellows out as you keep eating, but it never disappears--it just evolves. A plot twist in every spoonful. Now, let's talk about the cone. This wasn't your average sad, soggy cone. Oh no. This one had chocolate bits woven into it like a love letter to cacao itself. It was the best "cone upgrade" I've ever had. Crunchy, chocolatey, luxurious--it deserves its own certificate of excellence, frankly. And the staff? Patient, kind, and blessed with the empathy required to deal with someone (me) who treats flavor selection like high-stakes diplomacy. I felt seen. And then--oh, the pièce de résistance--a little chocolate coin placed lovingly atop my scoop like a crown. It made me feel like gelato royalty. A duchess of dessert, if you will. They also have this gorgeous outdoor patio space, which I longed to sit in like a wistful character in an indie romance. Alas, I couldn't stay, but next time? I'll claim that spot with the same passion I bring to gelato tasting. In conclusion: Venchi is elegance dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with patience, and served with a golden coin. I'll be back--possibly wearing a cape.

Lovely corner shop that's well lit. The staff was friendly and offered up samples of some of the yummy ice creams. We tried the Mango sorbet which was vegan and Beth flavorful. My husband took his time going each chocolate reading ingredients and choose several to purchase. The pistachio one is my absolute favorite. They have cute outside seating very picturesque

I stopped in here because I wanted some chocolate. I was happy with the service, because I was greeted by a gentleman who was so pleasant and really knew about the chocolates that they had to offer here. They also had gelato, but I came for the chocolate. I ended up getting me a dark almond bar and it was really good. I do plan to make another visit. Two thumbs up, and Happy Yelping!

TDLR: Pricey gelato but very cute spot! Normal flavors (caramel, straciatella, cheesecake) and yummy cones. 8/10 for price and portion size. There's nothing like a quick gelato stop on a warm summer night... If you're close by I'd recommend trying this place! Super cute interior and kind servers. The music selection inside was also pretty good! $9 for a regular cup but you can pick a smaller cup or cone if you'd like for a little less. I would recommend sharing with a friend if you'd like! More than enough to go around :)

A bit overpriced but it's absolutely beautiful and smells delicious inside. They have a wide variety of different chocolates but they can feel a little too commercialized.

Venchi has delicious chocolate and there is a consistent line out the door in the summer for their gelato. This was my first time trying their gelato and it was delicious. I ordered a cone with 2 scoops: Cappuccino and Stracciatella ($7.90). I'm not a coffee-lover, but loved the Cappuccino flavor. It does melt quickly, so a cup might be better if you don't want to get messy.

Ice cream is fine here, surface is also OK, but the real start of the show is their massive selection of specialty chocolate bars and individually wrapped small chocolate pieces. Come here if you're looking to get some of the best and most unique chocolate around. They have walls lined with every type of chocolate you could ever want!

Venchi, an Italian sweetshop known for their fine chocolates and gelato, recently opened its fourth location in NYC near Lincoln Center.  Venchi sells chocolates, bon bons, pralines, truffles, hazelnut spread, hot chocolate, shakes, and crepes.  While I do appreciate good chocolate, I'm actually not a chocoholic and mainly visited this shop for their gelato.  And boy, do they have excellent gelato! I ordered a cup of the green pistachio and hazelnut. It was absolutely delicious. The texture was silky and soft. The pistachio and hazelnut both had nice nutty flavor. I also got a small jar of their Suprema Crema XV which is basically a hazelnut spread. This was a great purchase and I actually think this is even tastier than Nutella. It's more flavorful and kinda of reminds me of their hazelnut gelato. The texture was delicate and creamy. So far I've eaten it with fruit (strawberries and bananas) and on toast. It's very addicting! As for prices, they are on the higher end but if you're looking for a nice treat or looking for gift ideas, this place is great option.

Omg....I haven't had such amazing gelato ever. I am not a sweets person but wow, I was blown away by this tiramisu & caramel combo. It also had chocolate/hazelnut on the inside of the cup. Kenny the supervisor was the best, so attentive & offered samples since I told him it was my first time & he knew I was overwhelmed with options. It was so busy here for a Tuesday night but the line was moving quickly & it didn't take long. It was bright & vibrant in there, would definitely go back!

Got a large cup which is up to 3 flavors I got the - pistachio - brutto & buono (milk chocolate and hazelnut) - stracciatella (milk and chocolate chips) They were all good the pistachio one has pieces of pistachio in it so that was cool because usually it's like a smooth base but this was different. The chocolate and hazelnut was good as well and the stracciatella. I liked eating those together. The stracciatella tasted more like pure milk than vanilla it was super creamy. It's also a chocolate shop so you can buy from their wall of chocolates. Cool place, the service was good, and the place inside is just a bunch of chocolate. Great place

Venchi is a good go to when you need some good gelato. I got lemon sorbet recently which was so tasty. Very lemony. It can be kinda pricey, but that's gelato in NYC. Be aware, the restaurant doesn't have much seating. Most locations that I've been to don't.

My fiancé and I had a lot of fun looking at all of the choices they had. There were some regular flavors like Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate but there were also some fun flavors like Pumpkin Spice, Milk Chocolate Sea Salt. On top of all of this, there is an option of prepackaged Lindt chocolates as well as different chocolate barks by the entrance. Definitely a fun thing to do with your friends as well!

They're also across the street from a flagship Ghirardelli store, which they also own, if you aren't aware. In general, I find Lindt too sweet, but that is also coming from someone who is a dark chocolate lover. For this location specifically, the staff here are friendly and give samples, which is a plus. Anyway, if you're wondering why you'd want to stop here instead of just going to the literal CVS around the corner which sells their products, you can customize stuff better here, and there are many more options. Along with the standard truffles they are famous for, there are flavors available only at this location, as well as seasonal ones. Some current ones include shortbread, made with milk chocolate, as well as a snickerdoodle, which I didn't realize was made with white chocolate, or else I wouldn't have purchased that one (it was still tasty,) and others. The truffles are around 62¢ post-tax for a single one, so it's a little cheap and tasty treat. Outside of truffles, there are bars, some fancier chocolates, and bark, among many other things. Of course, there's a Dubai option like every other chocolatier in case you want to purchase a cheapo version here. Obviously, the chocolates in general are not as high-quality as Läderach, Li-Lac, and other spots, but they are at very different price points, so that's to be expected. The latter spots are more artisanal, while this is a step up from Hershey's "chalk-olate" and other cheaper brands. If you're looking to buy a gift without paying an exorbitant price but still want a step up from Hershey's or similar places, I would recommend going here.

The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
