I stopped by on a Friday night at around 9:30 pm and there was a bit of a line but it wasn't too bad of a wait, about 10-15 minutes. Since it was a little busy, we were limited in the number of flavors we could try. I was with three friends and we decided to split three flavors: Earl Grey: 4.5/5. Classic. Earthy. Subtle. I liked it a lot! Passionfruit Berry: 5/5. Hands down my favorite flavor of the three. It had a nice, refreshing sweet-sour taste. The flavor just screams tropical summer! Banana Bread Pudding with Fudge Swirls: 3/5. This one had to grow on me. I think the banana flavor with the fudge swirl had a level of sweetness that was a little off-putting at first but I started liking it after a few more tastes, especially with the banana bread bits. Van Leeuwen is known to be a little pricey but the workers gave big scoops even with the rush! Plus, every time I go to a Van Leeuwen, the ice cream is super rich and creamy, so definitely worth the trip.

Van Leeuwen ice cream is a big weakness I have. If I see a nearby location I have a scoop. It is pricey and well worth the price. I used to get two scoops when I first started visiting their locations. I found the scoops have gotten bigger so one is enough. I've tried coffee and a couple other flavors. I always return to the Peanut Butter cup flavor. Anything with peanut butter! I tried vegan and hated it. I never tried it again. If you are in Yorkville you should visit this location. They have the same fast friendly service. My mouth waters just looking at my photos!!

Specialty ice cream at it's best! This location is popular and very busy as it is right by Times Square. I visited around 9 at night on a weeknight and there was a short line out the door. Everyone in line knew it was worth the wait as they stay open pretty late anyway. Their flavors are legendary and unique such as Spring Specials: Vegan Planet Earth, Dulce de Leche Walnut cookie chip, Peaches & Cream, or Honeycomb Fudge Ripple. I was going to be transporting ice cream back to our hotel for the rest of the family so only having 2 hands, I was limited in what I could order. I left with the Bigface coffee affogato milkshake, two scoops of the Brown sugar cookie dough and a scoop of the Dulce de Leche walnut cookie chip! All 3 were heavenly. I don't know if it was the best ice cream I've ever had, but it was really good! It was pricey, but it's New York City.

    So good!!

I've been to this location before and love the ice cream, it is pricey. But I enjoyed that they had a truck on leap day in Washington square giving out pints to try their limited edition hazelnut fudge cookie, so good! It was not overly sweet and creamy, the right balance, I really enjoyed it.

This is my favorite ice cream hands down. Previously I would order the classic flavors, may I recommend the cookies and cream? Now I've been enjoying the vegan flavors! I think my favorite is the chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces inside. Regardless of if I get vegan or regular ice cream, I like to get a mini sundae. It comes with 3 toppings and even though it says "mini", it's really a nice size! Pro tip, ask for a cherry! They are really good.

The service here is pretty fast, considering that it's always packed every time I've been here. The ambience is really cute and has outdoor seating as well. I really like the flavor I got it was vegan cookie dough, not too sugary and still pretty good. A lot better than their pints available at target lol.

Favorite ice cream. Great flavors, different. I love that I get to taste on the little spoon. Nice people work here. Very clean.

Ice cream was creamy and good! The ingredients tasted of quality! For its price tho, I think we have better options :) Service was good! The server was accommodating and patient with me! Ambiance is great, cute design. Matches the brands vibe. Loved it!

We stopped by just before closing and still got a very friendly, warm welcome! This was my first time trying Van Leeuwens and all of my friends raved about the honeycomb flavor, so of course that was what I had to try. The ice cream is really delicious and really creamy. It's very clean inside and there's a couple seats to enjoy. It would definitely be cheaper to just buy a pint from a grocery store, but where's the fun in that? Excited to come back to try all the other flavors!

The ice cream was amazing. Honestly cannot beat the creaminess and insane flavor. 10/10 Loved the atmosphere. You just felt instantly happy when you walked in with the bright but calming colors. The service was very kind and scooped a gracious amount. It was a small hassle to walk through the building and find it but it's worth it for the jaw dropping taste.

An exciting addition to the UES neighb! Much shorter lines than the 2nd Ave location and if you're lucky enough to get Yerial as your ice cream scooper you'll really be winning So grateful for the great service, fantastic recs and her patience through our flavor indecision. They have fantastic vegan selections that taste just as good as dairy if not better and be sure to go on Tuesdays for a free topping

2 scoop marionberry cheesecake and PB brownie honeycomb

This was quite the busy place for a Saturday evening but I understand given the unique ice cream flavors they have. I had tried a 2 scoop Marionberry cheesecake and PB Brownie honeycomb. Both great flavors. Had the chance to try whatever flavors desired before officially ordering. This was quite pricey for ice cream ($9 for 2 scoops). Next time, I think I'll just buy a pint

It's open! Great place for ice cream in the area. Ice cream is enjoyable all year round, even during winter. They have seats inside. Friendly staff. I didn't think I would like the vegan ice cream, but I tried it upon the staff recommendation. Is delicious! Had the vegan brown sugar cookie dough brownie with the waffle cone. This new location is very close to the 72nd St Q train and buses.

This branch of Van Leuwen is stingy on their portions, half the size of other van Leuwen stores. the ice cream is always good though.

It came out as a thick piece of deep-fried toast topped with ice cream, boba, caramel popcorn, and strawberries on the side. Not healthy at all, but really good. It's one of those desserts you probably wouldn't get every day, but worth trying at least once. Fun to share and definitely something different from the usual desserts.

They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!
