THE MOST DISGUSTING COOKIES I HAVE EVER TASTED! They reminded me of the kind of basic, chemical-tasting cookies you can pick up in a Walmart bakery section. My impression is that Crumbl's hype comes largely from kids and teens being drawn to the weekly rotating, viral-looking menu rather than to genuinely good quality. I was also shocked by how high the calories were across most of the menu. I came specifically to try the Andes Mint Brownie because I love mint chocolate, and it's usually only widely available around St. Patrick's Day or Christmas. I decided to try Crumbl after joking with a coworker about the recent trend of CEOs posting videos of themselves sampling their own products. He mentioned seeing a clip where the Crumbl CEO didn't even seem to enjoy what he was eating. I couldn't find the video afterward, but I told him I'd try Crumbl myself after work and report back. What frustrated me most was the ordering setup. I was not allowed to buy just one small cookie. Instead, I had to choose between one very large cookie at 1,000+ calories, roughly the caloric equivalent of two meals, or buying three smaller cookies. That felt excessive and unnecessary. I added a chocolate chip and a dark chocolate cookie because they were the lowest-calorie options at 190 calories each, but even then the whole experience felt designed to push customers into buying more than they may want. The cashier even encouraged me to get three of the same cookie instead, but the idea of spending 1,200+ calories on one flavor alone was unappealing, especially when I simply wanted to try it first. I understand that was likely store policy and not his fault, but it reinforced the sense that the business model is more about maximizing sales than giving customers flexibility. I also ended up spending over $14 for just three cookies, which felt like a complete rip-off. Since any three cookies cost the same, the pricing almost encourages people to choose the biggest, highest-calorie items just to feel like they are getting their money's worth. It makes little sense that a 400+ calorie specialty brownie costs the same as a 190-calorie standard cookie. Compared with places like Insomnia Cookies or even Subway, where you can simply buy one cookie, Crumbl's setup felt restrictive. At least those places allow customers to make a smaller purchase without being forced into an oversized order, general health considerations be damned. I also found it disappointing that there were no vegan, gluten-free, or other more health-conscious options available when I visited. For a brand this popular, it seems odd not to consistently offer at least one inclusive option. I've had healthy vegan cookies far better than anything I tried at Crumbl combined. Unhealthy food is not inherently tastier. Overall, I found the menu nutritionally excessive, the product quality underwhelming, and the business model somewhat predatory in how it markets oversized, sugary desserts in a culture already struggling with diet-related health issues. It feels especially predatory toward uninformed kids and teens who may not connect eating a 1,000-calorie Lucky Charms or Fruity Pebbles cookie with why they later feel sluggish and unwell. This is exactly why government regulation of the food industry is needed: this kind of predation is likely economically rewarded unless someone steps in to check it. The cashier was personable and is the only reason I'm giving 1 star instead of zero. That, and Yelp not allowing zero-star ratings. Ordered the smore cookie to take advantage of my birthday reward. There was a line out the door again when I came in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. There was an employee managing the line outside, directed traffic and helped open the door. Once you get tin, there were 2-3 tablet kiosks you order from. Was disappointing there wasn't anyone to help you with the tablet ordering process. I had issues scanning my app QR to claim my reward but no one was around to help so I struggled but eventually figured it out. My cookie was ready about 30 seconds after placing the order. It was a bit cramped standing around waiting for your order because as you leave the kiosk, they bring the next batch of customers in. The packaging was nice and the cookie was good. They did run out of the pumpkin which was a bit disappointing since you'd expect seasonal flavors to be available. Wish there was a Crumbl more in the midtown area. read more

I am underwhelmed by my experience with Crumbl. I heard about it when a colleague ordered some cookies for a celebration and I had a tiny taste since they were leftover from the day before. I thought, ok, I would try a big cookie. Finally, I walked past it on my way to a meeting and it was busy in there so I wondered what the hype was about. I ordered from a kiosk and only got the chocolate chip and the chocolate cake batter. The cookies are really big! ($5.50 with tax) and they are packaged separately - I didn't know they were, otherwise I would have asked them to be put together to reduce single-use waste. In any case, I ate the chocolate chip cookie as I was walking. It was very gooey which is delicious but nothing special. I wouldn't come back. When I was ordering on the kiosk, I did see an allergen statement - so if you have any peanut/tree nut allergies, do not order from here. Not worth the risk! read more

Crumble Cookies didn't come across very well in my opinion. I saw a lot of great flavors online and when I got there the choices were limited to the daily 6 flavors. Not even a peanut butter cookie. Maybe if you live nearby and can check the offerings daily you can enjoy your favorite flavor now and then! I was also disappointed to learn I couldn't purchase a miniature version. I was told those are for catering only! I found the employees to be rather standoffish. I was not greeted or smiled at plus never asked if I needed help or had questions. Not sure what all the race is and I may be the only person who's not a fan, but i have an issue with ordering something thats not cooked thoroughly and is supposed to be that way. Super long line, but it moves quickly. Place your order on the tablet at the back of the store and move to the front until they call your name. The cookies are made fresh and as you watch them being baked all you smell is the sweetness of delicious warm cookies. All you can think of is how great this treat is going to be....by the time you get your pink box, your mouth is watering and you cant wait to open it. A warm fresh cookie ... but the first bite was way too sweet for me. The inside inside was also too chewy and undercooked for my liking. Almost felt like it needed a few more minutes to cook. I just got off of a long 12 hour shift in the hospital & took a walk to redeem my Free Cookie coupon that expires tomorrow 11/5/24, hoping it would brighten up the rough day I had. When I walked in this shop about 15 minutes before they closed, they said "we're not taking t-mobile orders anymore." So, they committed false advertisement unfortunately. Unless this employee had neurological conditions or cognitive deficits, the promotion clearly says "Expires by 11/5/24." They still had plenty of Cookies and were preparing to make more while also fulfilling walk-in and mobile orders. I have had excellent service at this location in the past, but now I am just disappointed. I'm going to stick to Levain's whose choc chip I prefer over Crumbl's. I was walking toward 59th and saw this Crumbl-- I'd never had a Crumbl cookie before but had heard all about them so I decided to go in and grab one just to try it. The outside is crunchy, but the inside is literal cookie dough. I felt like I was eating cookie dough. I get the want to make your cookie gooey, but THIS was not gooey; this is an infection waiting to happen. This cookie was also way too sweet, likely because from what I can tell they only used milk chocolate chips and not a mix of milk/semi sweet/dark. Milk chocolate is actually my least favorite type of chocolate to have in a cookie so it was truly just Ls all around for this cookie. This cookie was also $5, and it was in no way worth $5. It has some height, but not enough to justify a $5 price tag, especially with the subpar taste. I'd much rather spend my money on two insomnia cookies or a slightly cheaper cookie from chip city. Glad to welcome this up-and-coming spot to the upper east side. These cookies remind me of a blend of what insomnia cookies could be in this day and age and what's so great about the warm, dense and large cookies of chip city. The Oreo one is clearly the most popular because it was the one that was sold out by the time I got there around 8 PM. You may have to give them some time to make a new batch if you really want it. I got a sampler of the rest of the flavors, and my favorite one was actually the raspberry one that is reminiscent of a Linzer tart as it was beautifully sweet, but not saccharine. These cookies will be warm, fresh and soft. Are they better than Levain or chip city? I don't think so but they're definitely worth a try. read more

Unfortunately the cookie I got here was pale with none of the caramelization that is the signature flavor of a well baked chocolate chip cookie dough. When I bit into it the first flavor that I got was raw flour lmao, which was unfortunate. I really like the cookies but the customer service is awful. I was treated like a criminal for giving the cashier correct change. I gave him a $20 bill, four dimes, and three pennies for a $5.43 cookie to get back $15. The cashier said that he won't count my change and refused to even take it. I spoke to two other employees who acted like I was a con artist for saying that 4 dimes and 3 pennies equals 0.43, while the cashier who refused to take my change continued to have a really bad attitude. In the past I was told that there were no cookies at the time (at all) or that they had cookies but not all of them, and I didn't complain because the people who worked there at the time were at least nice and apologetic about it. Not any more. They have a totally new staff and treat customers very poorly. The aggravation is not worth the cookies, which are otherwise very good, or else my rating would have been 1 star.
