    Dylan's Candy Bar

Who's got a sweet tooth? OMG, you can smell the sweetness right outside as you pass by Dylan's Candy Bar....how can one not take a gander inside? Located on the 4th floor of the Shops at Hudson Yards right across from the Edge. Lots of candies to choose from - some of the ones from the days of growing up to reminisce from... prices vary (yes some are quite pricey). Now ready for the holidays...they have seasonal themed candies so stop by often to check out. They do sell loose candy as well. Check it out...this is one of several locations in the city...

Manhattan, NY (Hudson Yards) - enticed by the bright and technicolored retail display, I popped by Dylan's to pick up some gummy chews while wandering around the Shops at Hudson Yards. I've long held the impression they carried an interesting, eclectic, and perhaps unusual or boutiquey/high-end assortment of candies sourced from far and wide, alongside the classics, based on the brand's caché of being founded and owned by Dylan Lauren (daughter of Ralph)...so was rather disappointed and underwhelmed by the basic selection here, honestly. From what I understand, the original and much larger flagship store on the UES (which closed during the pandemic), with three floors and a restaurant/café, had more of a smorgasbord of confections, but I never made it there during its heyday. Alas, the candies are pretty prosaic, mostly nothing special that you can't find at a big box retailer or at a typical suburban mall candy store, minus the trendy window dressing. However, you will find many of your classic American candies and nostalgic childhood favorites. I came specifically for the gummies (bears, worms, fruits, and whathaveyou!) and there was a whole wall of them so that made me happy. I'm just not sure they're worth $19/lb, but hey, I get that rent has to be paid in this chi-chi shopping center. Some of the specially packaged goodies are unique and giftable, however. The floor staff could also use better customer service training. There aren't bags by the self-serve mix & match bulk candy wall so I asked an employee (who wasn't doing anything but chatting away with her co-worker or friend) where they can be found. She peels one off from her stash, annoyedly hands it over without so much as looking in my direction, while carrying on with her conversation as if my intrusion were an inconvenence. It's like, you're literally standing next to interested customers. How about instead of pretending not to see them, try proactively approaching some who are clearly prepared to purchase some products, and going: "Hi! I see you're checking out our fabulous display of gummy treats - would you like to have a bag to fill them up in? It's $19 per pound" (cos there's no price sign either). The aesthetics and concept of the place bring out the bratty-glam tween girl in me, but as a discerning old, I'm not that dazzled by what is essentially a gussied up corner candy shop with fancy marketing.

I have had Dylan's Candies in NYC, so I decided to place an online order for a Halloween gift for two spooky day lovers in CA who will have a delightful assortment of sweets and gourmet popcorn to enjoy. Sweet smiles are headed their way. The Dylan's Candy Bar website is easy to navigate and place your order. Emails are sent to alert you to status of order from initial order, to shipping, and to arrival. 5 Stars I ordered: *Four Popcorn Boxes Chocolate Caramel Salt Funnel Cake Crunch Double Chocolate Potato Chip -Sound delicious *Box of assorted individual size chocolates -quality chocolates to try in every flavor *Midnight Mash Bulk Candy Assortment -FUN to try what looks good to you My purchase received FREE Shipping which is appreciated.

This location is right outside the entrance line for the Edge. Super cute candy store with packages and bulk candy. It was cutely decorated for the holidays and some seasonal Items were on display. There was ice cream available as well. No signs were posted for the price per pound but it is $19/pound. The staff was super friendly greeting and helping to check out.

Came to Dylan's to look for a gift. I like that it is inside Hudson Yards. It's not a big store but very festive inside. They have holiday candy for sale as well as some old classics such as Big Chew. They even sell ice cream near the register. I ended up getting a small box of assorted candies for $10 for a birthday gathering. Definitely something for all ages in here & great for gifting!

Dylan's Candy Bar is located in the Hudson yards on the third level. All sorts of sweets, ice cream, clothing, trinkets are sold here. Street and lot parking. I suggest you use public transport, rideshare or taxi.

Love bulk candy stores ! There are so many chocolate covered delights here and flavors to choose from. The gift area caught my attention. So many cute items for Birthday gifts. I was greeted so nicely as soon as I walked in - love that special touch.

It's a very colorful store with tons and I mean TONS of candy but I was gonna ask a staff member about the price of something and it looked like she heard it but she didn't turn around. It was fine cause we didn't end up buying anything, but if you love candy and are in the mall then you should definitely go here.

I was literally like a big kid in a candy store in here! My parents didn't let me eat much candy so now that I'm grown, I can do whatever I want! I had a blast here. They have just about every candy imaginable! Wasn't planning to come in here at all but after walking by, couldn't help it. The employees were very friendly and helpful! Totally worth the visit.

Have been to the other Dylan's in midtown and The Hamptons and I was happy to check this one out while we waited to go to The Edge. The store is large and spacious with a lot to offer besides candy - there are cute mugs, pajamas, keychains and other fun items. Since COVID they have their candy bins full but already Individually wrapped which is super convenient. They also carry my favorite - raspberry jelly rings! The staff was super friendly. Hope you have a sweet day! Open now with safety measures in place. Please support local businesses!

Okay, so the picture is from the Miami Beach location, but I've been to the NYC location a few times. I've had the most delicious red velvet chocolate bar from Dylan's. My favorite chocolate treat from here. It's flavorful and the chocolate is smooth. I wouldn't even mind if there were some almonds scattered throughout... wishful thinking! I haven't seen sucu an item anywhere else (not to say that it doesn't exist elsewhere). So, kudos and 4 stars for what I consider creativity for the foodie's palate!

Amazing location! They have basic convenient store candy and special candy like dark chocolate covered gummies. The staff was nice and they give a free bag of candy when you spend $20 if you use a Visa. The candy is very tasty but they're inconsistent with certain inventory. They should bring back cherries berries!

Dylan's in the Shops at Hudson Yards wasn't on my list of places to go. I accidentally found it searching on the 4th floor. It's very small but very sweet. All my out of town guests will want to visit just like the old location that's closing the end of the month. I wanted to see what they have to offer. My favorite are the M&M's. The employee on duty was very nice. She said they may find space to open another Flagship Location at some time. For now this is the only retail location starting October 1st, 2021. It's tucked away on the 4th floor. Give it a check in.

Life has been a little crazy lately. So, I gave in and placed a delivery order from the Upper Eastside store. I chose the Autumn mix because well, it is fall! The packaging was very cute and was a nice presentation. I also thought the thank you note added a lovely touch. Now, let's get down to the candy! One candy that I see in video reviews (not sure other their name, but they look like skulls) where not in my order. That was a bit of a disappointment. I figure once I go in person, I will try them. I had a really nice mix of both sour and sweet candies. I really enjoyed them. I received some of those soft candies and they were good but, not amazing. I am not a fan of black licorice. There were several types in my bag. That was the major negative about not being able to choose the candy myself. The quantity of candy was larger than I expected.. A yummy experience. I look forward to going to the store and choosing an experiencing with the entire selection.

Before heading into the shops at Columbus we headed into its sugar because we're with my 10m old and he likes looking at the lights and bright colors. I picked up a mug called "wake and bake" and asked my husband does it work and how. I then put it down. When exiting an employee in a purple shirt was kind of blocking the door. I thought that was odd but people are weird. She even almost bumped into someone trying to walk in. She then accuses me of stealing the mug. I was confused and said I put it down and continued on my way, but I'm annoyed that a company that I frequented often with my older kids would accuse me of stealing. If you were watching so closely you should have done a better job and watched me place it back down. How outrageously inappropriate it was to try and smile and play with my 10 month old while you were moments away from accusing his mother. As much as my older kids like It's Sugar I'm going to be thinking twice before purchasing anything there ever again. Maybe it's for the best and I should be supporting local businesses. I'm honestly stuck on the fact that they thought a mother pushing her infant child was attempting to steal something so wildly inappropriate.

But instead, there I was--standing in front of their glorious gelato counter, eyes wide, heart full, and indecisive as ever. Let's start with the moment: my first bite of their olive oil gelato. I don't say this lightly--it was transcendental. Like, "is this what Botticelli tasted when painting Venus?" kind of moment. That velvety olive oil richness hits you up front with confidence and elegance, like a well-dressed Italian man offering you espresso and secrets. Sure, the intensity mellows out as you keep eating, but it never disappears--it just evolves. A plot twist in every spoonful. Now, let's talk about the cone. This wasn't your average sad, soggy cone. Oh no. This one had chocolate bits woven into it like a love letter to cacao itself. It was the best "cone upgrade" I've ever had. Crunchy, chocolatey, luxurious--it deserves its own certificate of excellence, frankly. And the staff? Patient, kind, and blessed with the empathy required to deal with someone (me) who treats flavor selection like high-stakes diplomacy. I felt seen. And then--oh, the pièce de résistance--a little chocolate coin placed lovingly atop my scoop like a crown. It made me feel like gelato royalty. A duchess of dessert, if you will. They also have this gorgeous outdoor patio space, which I longed to sit in like a wistful character in an indie romance. Alas, I couldn't stay, but next time? I'll claim that spot with the same passion I bring to gelato tasting. In conclusion: Venchi is elegance dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with patience, and served with a golden coin. I'll be back--possibly wearing a cape.
