I stopped by this Dairy Queen to use my TMobile Tuesday code on the blizzard. This location is near where my work office is so it made sense for me. This is only my second time at a DQ, my first time was at the one inside Northridge Mall. I placed my order off the mobile app. To use the deal on the Blizzard I had to buy something else first, so I got a bag of Lays chips since that was the cheapest item. I found parking just fine in the plaza this store is located in, there was a 45min parking spot. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all so I just give the lady the name of my order. She handed it to me and I ate some of it inside of the store. I thought it was good and better to eat when it's fresh. Customer service was great when I was here. They have outdoor seating here as well. read more

The Oreo Blizzard was really good. The only thing is that I would preferred it if was more blended. The service was really good because my blizzard came out really quickly. The ambiance was small for a chain restaurant. read more

My fiance loves blizzard so he enjoyed his very well. It hit the spot. Perfect sweetness and toppings. The service was great. The guy behind the counter went above and beyond. I told him it was gonna take me 30 mins to get home and I was afraid it was gonna melt and asked if he had ice or insulated bag. He said it didn't and gave me a cup with ice to keep it cold. That was the sweetest thing ever. The place had plenty of parking and seating. Way to go! read more

My fiancé was craving DQ, so we stopped by for a quick treat. After he ordered, I was looking at the menu and mentioned how good the soft serve looked. When our order came out, a young man handed my fiancé his treat and brought me a soft serve too. I thought my fiancé had ordered an extra, but the gentleman smiled and said, "No one should leave empty-handed." I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but I really want to acknowledge his great customer service. I don't frequent Dairy Queen very often, but this genuinely made a lasting impression on me. Exceptional service like that is rare, and his kindness truly made my day. Please make sure to recognize this gentleman for his outstanding service. We will definitely be back! read more

What a great experience. The young man working the register was so nice and helpful. Really clean and great ice cream. Also had cake samples which was great because I didn't even know they had cakes. Insanely rude interaction. If you ask a question about a service, they'll make you feel stupid for even asking. "Who told you this?" If you can't do something just say so. You don't have to interrogate me about my intentions as if I'm a nefarious customer. I'm sorry I don't have an edible printer and was just wondering? You'd still be getting business you wouldn't have otherwise. Honestly, a simple no is sufficient. Someone said maybe and maybe that was incorrect information but I don't know why I'm receive the ire for it. Yes, I imagine they'll know who I am when I make this review. 3.5 stars Service-wise, I would rate them as a 3, but food-wise, I rate them as a 4, thus the rating as 3.5 stars. As we were passing by today, on the way to the Ronald Reagan Library, I noticed this Dairy Queen was also Orange Julius! I knew then that we had to visit after, on the way home, since all the DQs and Orange Julius near me have closed. Orange Julius® Original (Medium) Real orange blended together with a secret ingredient to Orange Julius® frothy perfection. Dilly® Bar - Chocolate While there, there was a steady stream of customers. The workers are young, and I think one of them was a trainee so the service was not very smooth. Make sure to check the bottom of your receipt! I was able to grab a free Dilly® Bar on the way out. The Orange Julius® Original was just as we remembered, from almost 30+ years ago. Previous locations (which have also since closed) that we've tried were not as flavorful and the Orange Julius® Original felt like it was all ice but here, it was all perfectly balanced! The taste of the orange was the perfect amount, not overpowering but also not an afterthought, very flavorful. We only wish that we lived closer and could order Orange Julius® Original anytime we wanted. I wanted to also try a Blizzard but since we had a long drive back home, I had to skip out on it because it would've melted and I was already full from sharing both the Orange Julius® Original and the Dilly® Bar. There were plenty of parking in the lot for a late Saturday afternoon. There are a few spots with 45 minute parking only. read more

This location is poorly managed. Temperature inside shop in the 80s. Employee appeared high, taking his sweet time. Stood in line for 20+ minutes and it took him that long to make 1 smoothie. Walked out after he said he has 3 more. What a joke. read more

I've been contemplating writing this review... We can to pick up a quick pre-made birthday cake. This was on a Tuesday morning. The place was disgusting to say the least. If I was by myself would've walked right now. But, no. My kids were with me and they were so excited to buy the cake. I grab the cake and buy it along with some blizzards. While waiting for the blizzards my child noticed a frozen bug on the cake. It was a freaking roach! Frozen to death. On the side of the cake. The owner happened to be in the store, so I was able to ask for a refund. He tried telling me to get a replacement of an 'exact cake he had in the back' ummmm no thanks! Yuck! I took a picture of the cake at the store. read more

Came in for my friends birthday, it was really busy and there was only one worker named hector. He was taking phone calls for the store, taking orders and making the blizzards. One star only because the employee was friendly. We travel around the entire Western US and stop for our blizzards as often as we can. The prices here are the highest we have ever seen. $9.19 for a medium Blizzard! Not only that, but they have more air and less ingredients in their blizzards. Today i had the chocolate brownie extreme and there we 2 or 3 tiny bits of brownie and the bottom quarter of the blizzard was vanilla ice cream with nothing in it! read more

In the crowded landscape of fast food establishments, it's almost a mystery that Dairy Queen still exists. Quick - can you name a nice Dairy Queen? I've been to a lot of divey ones over the years, personally. This one in a large local shopping plaza in western Simi Valley earns a "Meh" rating from Dear Hubby and me. There's not much charm to it. The staff we encountered was young and not well-trained in customer service. A male and female employee displayed the minimum effort. We weren't greeted when we entered. It's a small thing, but it sets a tone from the start of the visit. The young girl just stood at the cash register with her hand poised over the keys as if to say, "I'm ready, what do you want?". Um, how about a smile, a "Hi, what may I get for you?" Something. Anything! She wasn't rude, just pretty clueless of how you interact with customers. Forgive me if this may be a rhetorical question for those of us born before smartphones and texting (oy! showing my age) - but is this GenZ group incapable of interaction that doesn't involve looking at a small digital screen? I had been craving a chocolate dipped cone after coming from a disappointing stop at the car dealership to check on the repair of our car. The DQ cone was just okay. The chocolate dip barely tasted like chocolate. Chocolate-flavor-lite? It wasn't really what my tastebuds were craving or expecting. Ultimately, I spent time, money, and calories on a very underwhelming venue. Dear Hubby fared slightly better with his banana shake. He said it had fresh fruit in it, but otherwise wasn't remarkable. We've lived in the area for almost 7 years, and have only been to this DQ 2 or 3 times. Not planning on rushing back. Free parking. No outdoor seating provided. read more

we always like our chocolate dipped chocolate soft serve, but some how the servers never get the order right the first time and always need to remake the order. Tonight they were completely uninterested in preparing the order correctly. The music was blaring so loud in the back room and they were un able to hear the customers speaking to them. instead of dipping the ice cream in the chocolate they scooped a dribble from the pot of chocolate and it was not even enough to cover the top of the ice cream in the dish. really sad. Not up to DQ standards. wish we took pics. the store owner would have loved it. read more

When will they finally fix the machine that makes Orange Juliuis'. It's reminds me of when Jamba Juice would say their orange juice machine "wasn't working" until one day one employee was honest and said they clean the machine early and then just say it doesn't work so they don't have to rush to clean it at the end of the day. read more

Once a year I treat myself to a dipped cone and today was the day. But apparently, it was the wrong day. A very young man was servicing the counter and I'm telling you he was wildly undertrained. The medium vanilla cone dipped in chocolate was $4.17. I told him to keep the change and put it in the tip cup. He was baffled by the subtraction of $5.00 - $4.17 and only used dimes. The manager came over and helped him count the change again, dropping the coins into his hand. No explanation on how to give change, she just does the work for him. The boy looked sooooo confused. OMG!!!! How can a teenager not be able to do this simple math? What is happening in our schools? I figured I'd get a decent-sized cone with the tip I gave. The boy goes over to the machine and doesn't really know how to operate it. He loads up about 2" of ice cream onto the cone. Then he dips it in chocolate and hands it to me with chocolate dripping down the cone and onto my hands. I ask, "Is this a medium?" He says yes and asks if I want more ice cream. Well, it's not possible now that he's dipped it. I figure I might as well forego the calories and walk away from the counter to go cry in my car because the human race is becoming sooooo dumb. We are doomed. WTF? The owner of this scoop shop is missing in action. If you decide to use this store be ready to train the staff because the owner couldn't be bothered. read more

How is this place still in business? By the reviews, it's evident that my bad experience today is just the way this location does business. My 4 year old has never been to DQ and I haven't been since I was about her age. Can't say I'll be returning anytime soon. We walked in, no greeting from the young man leaning on the register. I ordered a blizzard for my kid and a chocolate dipped cone for myself. To say customer service is lacking would be a compliment, this guy was unnecessarily rude. I worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I'd never keep an employee that treated customers like a burden. On top of the rude employee, the ice cream was bad too! It was a soupy mess before we got to the car parked 12 feet away and no, it wasn't due to heat. It was 76 degrees according to my car. The employees need to be better trained and learn a bit about providing customer service. I don't appreciate feeling like a burden for spending money at an establishment. read more

Dairy Queen, Simi Valley . . . where do I start? Well, parking is good. The place is clean. Small selection, even of desserts. Lots of choices for their famous Blizzards, though. ONE person working there. She took the orders & payment and made the food. That's overwhelming, and she did her best. But all you need is a party of eight, and now all orders take 15 minutes to do. That's a bad reflection on store management. Girl ordered a root beer and didn't get it. Chicken sandwich was dry and tasteless. What could have been a 30-minute quickie ended up being a 60-minute ordeal, making us very late for our 6-hour drive home. There are more Dairy Queens in SoCal than I expected. Which the Hunny likes; where she grew up, DQ is *everywhere*. With this one, it was not the good experience she remembers, and a bad time for the rest of us. Better stick to In-n-Out. read more

I hate to do this, but the service was so blatantly rude that I had to comment. Black man walking in with my 5 year daughter after her long day at kindergarten, we place simple order for one small vanilla cone and one medium vanilla cone. We order, we pay, we find a table to sit at. An older white woman walks in with two girls around the same age as my kid. They order, they pay, and they get their order RIGHT AWAY. By now, my daughter is asking me where her ice cream is at because, I know she observed the same thing I did. It wasn't until I stood at the counter that we finally got our two cones. Another learning lesson for daughter in good ol' Simi Valley! I read more

I have been in a lot of Dairy Queen's but I have to say this one is different in a good way, Though it's just Dairy Queen and all should be spot on the same the people were friendly efficient and helpful. I've been getting ice cream at Dairy Queen since I was a kid. Although the ice cream was classic, the store itself was disgusting. Not a clean table to be found and there were dirty napkins and plastic lids on the floor. It was so awful we did not want to sit inside. My dipped cone was not dipped all the way onto the cone so it started leaking my hand. Overall very disappointed. read more
