Stopped off here since I was in the area ordered inside they have kiosk, which makes it nicer to be able to not be annoying when you're placing your order with employee and you can do your own customizations of your food. Anyways, I ended up getting two other regular Del tacos Super fire and chili cheese fries which were not good. I literally took two bites to waste almost 6 or seven dollars they just had no flavor at all. I'm sorry other than that the restaurant was really clean very well organized. The staff was really kind and they have a lot of menu items with deal boxes. They also offer taco nights on Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 11 PM. See picture for pricing. :) read more

Dear Hubby and I were running errands at the S.V. Town Center Mall nearby on Saturday evening. He was hungry; I was less so. He suggested Del Taco as it's very close, and has a varied menu. We stopped in and went inside to sit down, instead of doing drive-thru. There weren't many guests inside at the time we went, but the drive-thru was keeping the staff busy. I could knock off another star because they didn't have any ice. What?! I asked for a cup of ice because I care for any of the drinks in their dispensing machine. The young man at the counter was apologetic, but didn't have any control of the situation. I used to love their cheeseburgers. Alas, no cheese for me anymore. Most all of their menu items do feature cheese as one of the ingredients, especially the Mexican dishes. I could order without, as I do in other places. I just wasn't feeling the desire to compromise on my order, so I went with the chicken strips and fries. Honestly, their crinkle cut fries are some of the best French fries in the whole fast food game, in my humble opinion. Well, the fries were as excellent as ever - perfectly cooked, and seasoned delicately with just enough salt to bring out the potato flavor. The chicken strips, not so much. The pieces were very flat, almost like they'd rolled the chicken through a pressing machine. They weren't a highlight of the meal. DH ordered one of the combo boxes, and he received a lot of food for not much money. I think there was a burrito, taco, and churro, plus a drink. He was happy with everything in the box. We sat in the dining room, surrounded by clean tables and interesting music. It was a lot of songs that I knew and could sing to, but you're not supposed to sing while you're eating. Ha ha! I don't know if they still have the chocolate chip cookies available as a desert option, but I could always be up for enjoying their fries. Sparingly, of course. read more

I love love love the female employee that's been working the drive thru for some time. She is sweet, always has a great disposition and very efficient. I always drive away thinking she'd be an asset at any business. I don't know her name but she has the prettiest blue eyes and blond hair. Thank you for making my last minute meals a pleasant experience. The foods been good every time I've had it. read more

Sunday may 4th @3:45 I ordered two del tacos with sour cream and a mango sprite popper. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get here. No sour cream on tacos and no poppers in my sprite. CRAP! So disappointed. read more

I finally had a chance to come to this Del Taco near my work. I really love Del Taco fries when it's done right. I brought my lunch for work which was just carne asada and chicken but I wanted fries with it. So I decided to come to this Del Taco to get fries and a drink. I was deciding if I should order from the app but I figured they won't be busy. This Del Taco is right off the freeway and I pass it so many times. I found parking easily since they were not busy and when I went inside they only had 1 guest waiting. The lady working did take a while to come take my order but when she did it was quick. I got a macho fries and a large drink, I went with the cherry coke since they still have the soda machine here. My fries were out quick and I took it back to the office to eat it. My friends were not seasoned at all but good thing I had salt and black pepper in the office. It helped along with the ketchup but it tasted to me like they overcooked the fries or the oil was not quite ready because it was just okay but not like other Del Tacos. read more

I stopped in for a bite and all of a sudden a white car blocked me in. Then a person jumped out and proceeded to spray down a car parked there and wash it. I just wanted to leave a review for the amazing customer service of Jasmine today, she was very helpful in navigating the menu and anticipating diffent order needs. I usually order the same thing every time and its hit and miss at every location each time on how "good" the food is. I also never leave reviews for "fast food" places, but this review is spcifically for shift manager Arelya (I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly, even though I asked her, I forgot the spelling by the time I got home). Today I switched up my order in the drive through and this shift manager was the one who took my order. I asked her a few questions and felt she was so kind and helped me with a few questions I had. As someone who worked customer service before in retail, I felt she is the perfect example of how to make every customer feel appreciated and never make any customer feel bad for asking questions. She was so postive and kind in her attitude and its very refreshing to see someone like that, especially when you were having a rough day already. I didnt think someone in a drivethru could change my day with their attitude but she just did. read more

Went on Thanksgiving Day to feed the kiddos before our evening feast. The drive through staff could not have been more upbeat and friendly. Was not expecting that on a busy holiday. We had a large order and they mailed everything. Nothing was wrong or missing. Food was light-years better than Taco Bell and have definitely missed have Del Taco after moving out of Cali. Recommend for quick fresh tasting Mexican food. read more

We love Del Taco!! We don't have very many Del Taco's in Northern California. We happened to be in this area for a wedding and were jumping for joy to see a 24 HOUR Del Taco nearby! We actually stopped by here 3 times in 2 days to grab food. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about. We enjoy Del Taco when we're in Southern CA as their food taste more fresh than Taco Bell. Their sauces are highly addictive as well!! My favorite is the black packaged sauce!! My favorite items to eat at a Del Taco are either the chicken roll ups and chicken tacos or the breakfast items. My husband enjoys the bean and cheese burritos the best. Service for us was pretty quick each time we stopped by! read more

This specific location is a hit or miss. They are either really good or bad, there's no in between. Sometimes I get everything I order and other times I am missing things, because the cashier didn't input it on my receipt. I do notice that that anyone working the drive thru doesn't seem to listen and I have to repeat myself once more. Inside is a little better, but service is slow even when there's no one in dining in. read more

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER - took over 15 minutes to make two Breakfast Crunch Burritos. In addition, several other orders were being prepared for the drive thru that came 5, 10, even up to the 15 minutes before my order was completed. Ignored the dining room customers who were there first to attend to the Drive Thru who kept coming thru after. As well, toasted?!? The wrap was barley toasted/grilled. Staff properly, just one more person, and they would be set. read more

Terrible, absolutely terrible. Went for a quick breakfast meal in the drive thru line. The gentleman taking the order totally screwed it up. It started with ordering a number 15, substitute fries for the potatoes and a coke with no ice. Well we got CHARGED the full amount for the fries, not the normal.70 cents and the coke was WRONG flavor and had ice in it. Second Order was a number 16 meal with coffee. Simple right? The gentleman taking the order reaffirmed that we wanted a number 16 4 times by saying, "what number?" And a "number 16,Right" By the time it took to order, I figured the gentleman wasn't a good listener and didn't give two shits. NEVER GOING BACK. Hire someone who has a brain. read more

When you are in a rush and want to get something to eat FAST, this Del Taco is really the spot. I always go with the drive-thru option and it never disappoints. The staff here are friendly and always accommodate my crazy orders (skip this, add this, etc.) and I greatly appreciate them . Del Taco really has something for everyone, whether you are in the mood for chicken, fish, beef, vegetarian, etc. I am always in awe of their vast menu and their prices are unbeatable! I always order a bunch a food and never pay more then $15-20. My recent favorites have been the beyond avocado tacos. They taste great and make a great meal for lunch or dinner. The ranch chicken tacos that they have on the menu are a great choice and is delicious. You cannot beat the $1 price! Also, their strawberry lemonade (that has actual strawberries), is literally so good! Watch out for the sugar though! I always opt for a small size and cannot beat the $1 price. If you do come around the lunch hour (12-2 PM), be prepared to wait in the drive thru at least 20-25 minutes. However, totally worth it! :) read more

I've given this location so many chances because I think Del Taco has good food. My review is in response to this location. Many times my order in my bag is just wrong. No one repeats it to you ever in the process. After the third time this happened (out of six) in a two month period I swore I'd not go back. But I did. And then recently the person who took my card started emptying the trash cans in between. The hygienic practices here are just not ok. The same person taking the money is also packing the food up and is also emptying the trash in the moments they're waiting to pack up my order. I have never seen this at other fast food places but it's disgusting. They're also not friendly. I'm done with them at this point. read more

Giving these guys n gals a 5 star review. I love the cali steak burrito! Has bacon and french fries packed into it. The reason I'm writing this, and I apologize if it seems backhanded (not my intention but part of the package), is because one single piece of old dried up hard bacon made it in with the rest of the fresh chopped bacon. Otherwise every other time I've been here, everything has been perfect. And it's only in reflection of that, I thought you deserved kudos. I already had a tooth ache that I was not addressing in a timely manner. And that particular bit was the catalyst. Burritos stuffed with bacon and french fries are for sure a guilty pleasure. And if I had better eating habits perhaps I wouldn't have had a toothache to begin with...Dentist fixed me proper no worries. That being said, worth it. read more

The absolute worst Del Taco on the planet by a long mile. You will wait a minimum of 8-10 in the drive thru and chances are they'll fuck your order up. I've been here a few times but never this one again. The managers or whoever is in charge of this circus needs to get a new job. Always unprepared, always rude and never efficient. There's plenty of other choices in town, as well as two other Del Tacos. So absolutely no reason whatsoever to come to this hell hole. read more

Just encountered the most miserable person on the planet. Some old bald guy just got unreasonably mad at me for forgetting my wallet at home.. BRO IM HUNGRY! IM UPSET ABOUT IT TOO! Unreal.. Was seeing a friend of mine in Simi Valley and I needed a sugar rush and some tacos. Since this place is right off the 118 freeway at First street, it's super convenient. Yep, it's another one of my Del Taco reviews. I got me a #6 with a cheery coke, dining in (cuz like Joe Pecchi says, "They always fuck you in the drive through!"). This is a newer restaurant with nice flagstone exterior and decent landscaping. The only real quirky thing with this location is the entrance and exit is only a single driveway and if you're parking in the lot and there's a line in the drive thru, space can get a little scarce. It's clean, quick and cheap, just like I like my women (not!) read more

Not a pleasant customer service experience - after ordering food in the drive through I decided I wanted some ranch dressing and pulled into the parking lot to go inside. Upon asking for the ranch I was told that they charge 40 cents, and while I think this is ridiculous I really wanted the ranch so I agreed. When the gentleman started to bring the ranch it was just a very small container that they squirted the ranch into and this made me decide it simply wasn't worth it, not because I'm cheap but more out of principle. I asked for my money back and the girl behind the counter gave me such an attitude and basically threw the money in my hand. I would have only rated them as a single star but the guy that initially helped me was actually nice. read more

Look . . . I get it. You are wondering how someone rates Del Taco with four stars. BUT, hear me out. I'm rating THIS location as four stars. Not necessarily the food. If we were ranking it against other Del Taco locations it would be 5 stars. This is the cleanest and best run location I've ever been to, and worth noting that I've been to more than two dozen of their locations. The tall woman with light brown hair that works full-time there is an all-star. Even if she's not the owner she manages it very well, the way an owner operator should. If she's not a manager, she should be promoted immediately. As we say in sports she keeps her "head on a swivel", as she does everything well AND is noticing when others need help and is stepping in to coach them. Ok, I get the food is what it is. My son loves their tacos, I'd suggest trying the Spicy Grilled Chicken burrito substituting black beans for the regular refried beans. If you like you food spicy, try both the Inferno sauce and Del Scorcho sauce and see which one you prefer. The biggest flaw is that the parking lot is really cramped. If you park too far to the east, you get boxed on by the line of cars in the drive thru Other good notes- the breakfast burrito is worth trying as are the tamales (seasonal item) Avoid: the three layer nachos, they are kinda gross Look, if you have time to get real Mexican food at an authentic family run place, certainly do that. But, if you need something with a drive thru. This specific location is your best bet. Also, because it is very convenient located by the 118 freeway. read more
