I am writing this review to commend this locations service and the quality of their ice cream treats. We are regulars and come here weekly after my daughters basketball & volleyball games. Every time we are here the staff is really welcoming and they even know us and the flavors we like. My kids really look forward to our visits as well as the ice cream cakes for birthdays. The weather has been super hot lately and my boyfriend & I decided to stop by and grab a blizzard. They currently have summer specials with unique flavors and combinations they typically wouldn't have. We wanted to order the oreo and cheesecake blizzard, but they had ran out of cheesecake. It wasn't a big deal to us since they seemed busy, so we decided on an oreo and brownie blizzard! The blizzard was yummy and had lots of oreo and brownie bits in it, and was mixed in well throughout the cup. Overall, I've been here a few times and have enjoyed my order each time! I'm just here to complain about this location not having a fryer?? There's not many DQ locations around so when I saw this place I got so excited to have some of their delicious chicken strips. This place is a bit hidden, but it is worth looking for. It is a full DQ, includes the Blizzards, Soft Serve, Ice Cream Cakes, and much more. There is never a long wait, and every time I have been there I am greeted and helped right away. Wishing we had more DQs in the SoCal area! I only go here for the frozen treats, especially the blizzards (fave is Strawberry Cheesequake!), so my 5 stars is only for the frozen treats. Never tried the food at any DQs such as the hotdogs. Why go here for hotdogs or food though? Blizzards are so much better than the McFlurries you can get at McDonalds, so I wish there was a DQ in the Alhambra area! Service was pretty fast, but it wasn't busy at all. There's nothing special about this place or it's offerings however if you're in a the mood for something sweet and don't want to spend more than $5, this place hits the spot. There's a variety of toppings that accompany soft serve ice cream and result in offerings like a Blizzard (soft serve with toppings blended together), brownie sundae (soft serve with brownie and Oreo cookie crumbs), or classic sundaes (soft serve with flavored syrup). I'm not surprised by the 2 and a half star rating. I came to this establishment on May 3rd 2021 at 8:00. I waited 30 minutes because it was a busy night, I understand that. However when I went in to purchase an ice cream cake for a birthday, the worker had the audacity to ask me to come back in fifteen minutes because they're busy. In the fifteen minutes that I wait for the greeting on my cake, he could have wrote the message (especially since he wasn't the only worker) and there was no offer to have it in the freezer while I waited for them to not be busy. Went to Dairy Queen (for the first time ever) tonight, with the intentions of having a malt. Didn't really matter the flavor of ice cream, I was just craving malt with it. I went in for a hot fudge sundae. It came with nothing but, fudge and ice cream. I asked about the nuts, whip cream and cherry. I had already paid and apparently if you get all of that it cost extra. It has been a bazillion years since I've had a Dairy Queen blizzard (yes, I'm THAT old). The funny thing is that I didn't even realize there was a Dairy Queen near me until a couple of months ago when we happened to go to a grocery store that I rarely go to anymore (Albertsons)......... so I spotted the DQ and said to my husband who was with me....... "Can we get a Blizzard?" He looked at me, puzzled, because he couldn't imagine what made me randomly ask for that..... until I pointed across the parking lot to the Dairy Queen sitting over yonder. His eyes lit up as mine had seconds before when I spotted it. I got a Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard, which I can tell you, is a brand new flavor (well, at least to me). They've added a few new flavors since I last went...... again, too many years ago for me to remember. So this flavor combo I got had salted caramel truffles, buttery toffee pieces, cocoa fudge, and chocolate chunks blended with their creamy vanilla soft serve ice cream. It was delicious and as good as I remember it being, albeit with some new flavors for me to taste. I was sorry I only got a "medium" cuz it was gooooooooood. I like the fact that they have branched out with some new flavors...... and flavor combos at that. What I don't like is that I now know I have a DQ close to me...... so, willpower will now have to be exercised, so I don't seek them out all the time. So far, since I first discovered them a couple of months ago, I've only been back once. That's good for me !! read more

I have never been to a better place to get ice cream in my life. I was there last night and it was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, but I was able to get my blizzards pretty quickly and they were amazing. The employees were extremely nice and I had to give them a tip for there extremely hard work during a busy night. I just read all the prior reviews and am shocked! I called just now at 7:15pm and asked what time they closed at and she said "9:30, but we might close earlier." What?! This has been my DQ for about 10 years. We've been there many, many times and always found it to be average but acceptable. We went tonight and I tried to pay with a DQ gift certificate I received for my birthday. I printed out the coupon and presented it just like it says on the instructions. The counter guy said sorry, but they don't take those. He called the owner to verify that and no, they wouldn't take it. The teenage counter guy said he got yelled at by the owner the last time he took one so sorry, can't do it. I didn't complain, but that's just stupid. I've spent plenty of $ there over the years but never again. That dirtbag owner will never get another dime from me. Good job, moron. read more

Let's start off by saying this is one of the best dairy queen's I have ever visited. This place is one of a kind. As soon as you walk in the door, you are striked with vibrant and matching colors that are surrounding you. This place has a very homey vibe to it. Second, the employees were extremely nice with a smile, granting my needs and delivering with a flavorful soft serve treat. The treat was absolutely amazing as it melted in my mouth and I couldn't help but get another one and a blizzard for my family. The seating was also great with chairs to fit my whole family and kids. Although I live over 30 minutes from this place, I came back to this dairy queen once again to get a cake. The cake was on another level with its flavor and filling. It's hard to believe such an ice cream desert could be treated as a delicacy. Extremely happy with my experience and now I am an active customer to this place, picking up a cone everyday before work. 10/10 read more

I called 4 times and could barely get a question answered and there's no way to order ahead of time or have it brought outside.
