The food was incredible. Here we got the medium slider and it was perfect at medium not really spicy at all, which is what we wanted and we got a no spice tender for our two-year-old these are delicious. I do think they might be the best hot chicken in the 805. Everything was great. All of the band did fall apart as I was eating, but that happens with every hot chicken. The french fries were also a 10 out of 10 and crinkle cut incredible seasoning although the seasoning was a little bit spicy for my toddler so I might see if I can get them unseasoned next time another thing that really stood about about this restaurant that was the service the staff room incredible we ate outside and we got there so close to eight even stayed outside after 8 o'clock and the staff stayed and we came out several times to ask if we needed anything brought us more water or brought us to go boxes. I've never been so well attended to even when I've been sitting inside an establishment so I was very impressed. Shout out to these workers. Ambience inside is as would be expected. I like that they have plenty of napkins at every table. The only thing that can make this place better would be add milkshakes to the menu, wink wink. read more

I tried the chicken tender and slider combo. Medium spice level was spicy... just enough in heat but lots of spice was applied. Heavily coated more than I prefer, but some might like it that way. Chicken itself was hot and juicy. Fries were fine. Other sauces cost extra other than ketchup and house sauce. Cashier lady was nice. Like other reviews say, this location is tough in the Simi mall so I hope people find it and give it a try. Ambiance was kinda dead when I went, just like the mall. read more

Yummy. Got the Loaded Rambo fries (hot) & my 12 year old got the chicken tenders (medium). Everything was good, cooked well, fries were crispy & chicken was juicy inside-crunchy outside. The loaded fries were flavorful. Their sauce is good too but a little too salty. It's a small place located in a very cute little plaza. Prices are fair for the quality/portion. The lady at the front was pleasant. Plenty of parking. They have a handful of tables inside. read more

This place is tucked deep into the Simi mall and was kind of hard to find. Walked in and it seemed like the place wasn't open, as there wasn't a cashier or anyone in the store. Once we rang the bell, the lady was very nice. There are no fountain drinks, only cans of soda and bottles of water/gatorade. The food was good, not as spicy as advertised (I got the medium and felt as if it was mild). The chicken and fries were made fresh and were steaming hot. The sauce was very similar to Cane's sauce but with a little more spice. Overall, a solid option for a hot chicken sandwich place but not the most accessible location read more

10/10 AMAZING PLEASE TRY IT!! There should be a line out the door with how amazing the food & service is. The girl who helped me was a sweetie she handed me my pick up order and even made my milkshake fresh. Every was fresh and delicious not greasy at all. The place was clean and super welcoming there's even seating outside! Will definitely be back ! read more

Pros: Great fresh hot chicken, unlike most places. Decent amount of seating and okay service. Cons: Ambiance - needs family friendly music, I was there with my kid listening to the most ratchet rap music. read more

Love it here! I use to not like it because I tried it when it was touching the pickles and I don't like pickles, but my husband and whole family have always loved this chicken, I recently ordered again and had the choice to add no pickles and it was soo good without the pickle touch! I really recommend this hot chicken! If you don't like too much spice but a little touch I recommend the mild. Medium is pretty spicy. The fries and there seasoning are so flavorful and delicious you will love it here if you like hot chicken and its halal too read more

The service and atmosphere were very pleasant. The fries and toast were probably the best thing on the menu, not because the chicken or flavor was bad but because it was not as I anticipated it to be. I chose level Hot just because I sadly was intimidated by level Killer Flare. You had to sign a waiver and they ID you as well. I ended up ordering one on the side just because curiosity got the best of me, I am a lover of spicy food and wanted to see what the hype was about. Level Hot was not hot at all which was disappointing so obviously with level Killer Flare I am expecting something drastic. It was not spicy at all, nothing was spicy at all. The worker who took my order claimed that the reason they have the waiver is because someone threw up. read more

Was expecting something different......... Unfortunately it did not wow me. Will I come back again. Unfortunately not. 3 total stars for the following: 5 stars for facility Very clean and very well presentation. 4 stars for staff: Very friendly and inviting 3 stars for Food: Good prices. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich was not what I expected. Maybe I was expecting it to be howling rays? The chicken sandwiches were more like chicken strip sandwiches. The taste was good Will I come back again? Dont think so Come and give them a try. Perhaps your experience will be different read more

Should have known something was up when the place was completely empty. Nevertheless I wanted to give it a chance. When you bite into the chicken you feel like it's about to be something special because it's nice and crispy...until it's not. Doesn't have much flavor and the fries are just regular fries. Better luck finding a chicken sandwich somewhere else. read more

Rambo's Hot Chicken - Number 1combos with cheese added - Chicken Shop Near Me - Simi Valley, California

The food here is delicious. The chicken has good flavor, and so do the fries. I stuck to mild; I can't do too spicy. If you don't do any spice, it feels like it doesn't have flavor. We place the order through the app, and as soon as we pick it up, it's ready. It's located inside a small shopping center. When you order drinks- you will get cans. Not a big deal at all. I was just surprised because I didn't expect that read more

Decided to try this place after seeing the banners they put up around the town center. The food was good, the mild was super spicy (I have zero tolerance for spice so take that as you will) The best part were their fries, I really liked the seasoning on them. This place is way too expensive though. A combo meal doesn't come with a drink making you buy it separately. Even then they give you a canned soda so you can't even get refills. It's a shame since it's so nicely decorated inside, if had such a fun feel to it. Not sure if I would come back since it's so pricey. read more

The Hot chicken sandwich was amazing. Highly recommend to others and the service was really good!! And the place was kept very clean...

Honestly loved the balance of spice and sweetness! Flavor was great a little expensive but what isn't now a days!

Completely empty, worker was sitting down on her phone when I walked in (understandable, it's slow!) but than seemed bothered that I came. Was like a robot, not even responding , after being cordial simply asking how her day has been. Over charged me according to prices listed on physical menu at restaurant, i.e adding cheese 99 cents per they charged me 3 dollars for two. Food seemed to just be sitting under a heat lamp or old and just got reheated? I could be completely wrong but it was very Dry lacked flavor, and the fries tasted like old oil. I've frequented MANY different hot chicken places, and see the similarities and how some places thrive more than others. Overall this place was TRASH. Service, GARBAGE. Worker, well... imma be kind and just say she should find where she's content. read more

Rambo's Hot Chicken is absolutely delicious and I would 10/10 come here again! I came here during my lunch break and ordered the chicken slider and tender combo with fries, everything was hot, juicy, and super delicious. The medium spice level was perfect, and the coleslaw was a great touch. Meera, one of the employees, was super nice and told me everything is made fresh to order, and you can really taste that fresh quality. The painted walls and decor are super aesthetic too. Love to have a hot chicken place in Simi, but so far I have been a hair disappointed with Rambo's. I came their first week and the store itself had some long delays, confusion with the man at the register ordering, and just... really loud music! Once I got the chicken, the pieces were quite big, fresh, and tasty. I got the Rambos style which was a bit sweater breading that I would have liked. The space felt more like a dry rub applied after the chicken was cooked - hard to compare it to Daves or Main. read more

Friendly staff. Very slow service. Ordered two different heat levels and our food came out unmarked, trying it did not solve which combo had more heat. It would have been nice if the taste of the chicken was something other than hot. No flavor really, just heat and mine was mild. Now I love spice but usually as a flavor enhancer and not the only taste you get. The ambiance was mostly very loud music, not our favorite type to be sure. It's a one and done type of place. We tried it and it fell short. read more

incredible food, incredible atmosphere and a great and friendly staff. Definitely will come back again.

I ordered the #3 combo. The two sandwiches were great. The chicken was crispy yet moist and the fries were seasoned with a very tasty combination of spices. I chose the medium spice level which was a good starter level. Next time I will choose the next level up. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who likes spicy chicken. At around $16 it is a steal getting 2 chicken sandwiches and a lot of fries. read more

Great food but man, the location doesn't do you guys justice. Owner needs to wake up and relocate from the dead mall.

Awesome food! Owner's are great people. Location is nice (music is good too). Better than any other chicken places I've had.

Food was decent. Hard to be critical about spicy fried chicken. My only knock on this place was it was saltier than it needed to be. The fries as well. Plus the fries were pretty hard. Dave's is a little better. But not by much. Good for a local spot. read more

It's fire - literally! Went there Saturday to try the hot. Good flavor/decent heat. Mac and Cheese was great too. Came back Sunday to try Rambo's Killer Flare. Definitely a level up! Got it to-go and had it with milk, so don't deserve a place on the wall, but happy there's a quality hot chicken place in Simi finally. Customer service was excellent - food was out in under 10 min both times and staff were friendly and engaging. Check it out! Good vibe/decor in the place as well. read more

I was craving some chicken before I went to see the Thunderbolts* movie, and Rambos was right next to the theater. I can confidently say that this was a great place to eat a chicken sandwich and tenders. There was a great variety of drinks and the atmosphere and the music was great to listen to. The service was also great and there was no line to get into. The only problem is that there is no bathroom at this location, everything else was fantastic. read more

Went here for the first time tonight. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches with medium heat and an extra side of fries and sauce to go. It took 25 minutes but we didn't care because we weren't in a hurry. The food was delicious. Chicken was perfectly cooked, everything was hot and generously seasoned. The spice level was perfect, lots of flavor and spice but not too hot. I put coleslaw on my sandwich and I liked that. We will be coming back read more
