We frequently dine at Luna and have never had a bad experience. We ate there yesterday (4/29/26) and our only complaint is that you have removed shrimp from the menu. It was our favorite. We also love the Bistro Beef so we will continue to dine there, but hope at some point hope you will bring back the shrimp skewers. All the food is very fresh and well prepared. Sauces are delicious as well. Service is always friendly and quick. Portions are large. My husband and I always split. The rewards are good too. Thank you, Luna!! Beth & Jack read more

The food here is good quality and tastes well seasoned and fresh. The prices are about what you would expect in today's times- I do appreciate that their app often runs deals and coupons! They do take a while to make the food when you order ahead, so I usually order at least 25 minutes in advance of pick up time when taking out. When eating in, they make it pretty quickly. The one thing that would keep me from leaving 5 stars is because the past few times that we have eaten in here, I have noticed that the music playing really isn't appropriate, in my opinion. It is an eclectic mix of all kinds of random songs from the 80's and 90's to the current hits and songs from 10 years ago. That isn't what bothered me though. What bothered me is I don't think some of the songs that play are appropriate- like hearing "S*x and Candy," Pink's song where she says, "They'll be kissing my a**," and the last word was not censored, and then today hearing a song with lyrics, "girls in the boys room, boys in the girls room; free your mind and you'll be androgynous." Like; what? I'm just trying to have my hummus and my 2 year old kid is here. The music isn't quiet and in the background- you certainly hear it while you're in there! Music like that does not seem family oriented. I thought of how much better it would be if this place played Greek language music, like acoustic songs, or just something consistent and peaceful to really give the Mediterranean ambiance. I'm not one to nit pick about the music that is playing at every restaurant that I eat at, but when I'm with my baby and I hear inappropriate things like that, it bothers me. I wonder if the owner would ever consider changing the music. That is all! read more

Update regarding gluten-free options: I honestly wouldn't be lowering my rating if Luna Grill corporate and the restaurants had really thought through this situation better. I've always loved Luna Grill, and that's what makes this so frustrating. They recently started using pita chips in the fryer, which means several items that were previously considered gluten free can no longer safely be flagged as gluten free because of cross-contact. For people with gluten allergies, sensitivities, or celiac disease, that's not a small change. It removes a lot of safe options from the menu. The sad part is that this feels completely avoidable. Pita chips could be purchased separately, fried somewhere else, bagged, or handled in a way that doesn't contaminate the fryer for gluten-free diners. Losing access to items like fries, falafel, and other fryer items over pita chips is extremely disappointing. I still love Luna Grill and want to support them, but this change makes it much harder for gluten-free customers to eat there safely. I really hope corporate reconsiders this decision or creates a dedicated fryer solution so people with gluten allergens are not pushed out of options. read more

Luna did refund me for the two times mentioned. But they did not respond. I checked my inbox and junk box. I wasn't looking for a refund with my review. I was looking to inform them so they are aware that this is happening. The last time it happened was the nail in the coffin cuz the kabobs were flipped to hide the burn side. That's intentional. Lost me as a customer. read more

Luna Grill is a staple in Moorpark. I live in Simi Valley, and we have no great Mediterranean food options. I found out about Luna through a friend, and the first time I went, the service made me want to come again. When I returned for a second time, the girl working recognized me and treated me like I was family. You rarely find businesses that have that caring for employees. She gave me this review card, her name was Destany, and she was working with Jose. Both are very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean, food is great, and their app has a lot of great deals. Highly recommend. read more

I ate here for the first time yesterday 10/3. It was very delicious. I will be going back. It great to find a place to eat food that is not sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be bought. Luna was nice and clean and the young lady there was very helpful in helping us make selections. read more

I really like eating here but the wait times are excessive. As always the food is really good and the seating is comfortable but it really takes a long time to order and to actually get the food. They seem to have a lot of take out orders that are perhaps given a higher priority but I am not sure about that. read more

My family and I like this place! The food is fresh to order, and the staff is super friendly. The restaurant is clean (as its also newer) and the AC was cool to combat the hot weather we've been experiencing. Highly recommend this place!! Also for some reason, their fries are really crispy!!! Outstanding Service at Luna Grill Moorpark Juan and Jose at the Luna Grill in Moorpark are absolute standouts. From the moment I walked in, they made the experience welcoming, smooth, and genuinely enjoyable. They know the menu inside and out, made great recommendations, and clearly care about doing things right. You can tell they take pride in their work and in making sure every guest leaves happy. Tasty! We ordered at the front and then sat at a booth where the food was brought to us in ~15 minutes. Got a plate with koobideh and chicken, hummus, and the peach salad 8/10 And a loaded fries bowl with gyro meat on top 7/10. I think the gyro meat was alright but not too special, it wasn't too oily but it also wasn't too flavorful. The koobideh was probably my favorite meat of everything we tried but I was also recommended the salmon, I'll try it next time. Hummus and pita were pretty standard, cold a little dry, and not much flavor. But that was needed to balance the meal after the explosion of garlicky cream in the loaded fries. Five days later and I can still smell the sulfur in me. Service is really friendly and efficient, there was a person clearly not in a good mood ordering before us but staff somehow managed to fix whatever was bothering them. Split this between 3 people and felt pretty happy. read more

Tasty & healthy food! Joseph & Phillip were very pleasant and helpful. Will come back again.

Whether you're ordering takeout or stopping by, the consistency here for Mediterranean, food is exceptional. The portions are great, and the quality of food is amazing every time. I certainly would recommend getting the appetizer platter if you have a few people. The beef, the chicken and the salad salads are so delicious. Also, I would strongly suggest signing up for their rewards program and it definitely does pay off . Thank you for always being so friendly and courteous when my family comes to visit. read more

YUM! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally made it happen. Ordered online which was pretty easy. Pick up was timely. Got the family meal that was plentiful. The Citrus Herb Pita Chips and Roasted Garlic Lemon Chicken are a must! We also got the Modern Greek Salad which was good - especially the crispy chickpeas in it!! I love cabbage but wasn't too thrilled with their Greek cabbage salad. Not a lot of Greek flavor so wouldn't get it again. Overall it was a really good experience and I will be back to try some Kabobs and bowls! read more

We lost our favorite Shwarma place and were sad to not see shwarma on this menu. That's the main reason for deducting one star. Otherwise, we licked the plates clean. The place is very clean and had a steady stream of people while we sat on the outside patio--around 6-7 pm on a Saturday night. My dinner partner got the plate with Salmon, Greek cabbage, chickpea medley, and tahini sauce. The salmon was good, great seasoning, but a tad over cooked. Still delish. Really liked the tahini sauce, especially with the pita. The cabbage has good smokey flavor and great crunch like a salad, but might try other options before ordering that again. A bit pricey but a Very plentiful plate. I got the plate with Koobideh (minced seasoned meat), Greek Salad, Humus, and tzatziki sauce. Loved every bite. Seriously ate it all. We will definitely return and continue to try other options. All the flavors are bright and the plates are colorful and inviting! read more

Always delicious! Great service by Juan and Cienna. Everything was amazing. The food is always fresh seasoned well and cooked perfectly.

Great food, nice atmosphere leaning on the fast food ambiance but incredibly slow service. Went there late afternoon and it was nearly empty but the cooks took an incredibly long time for a couple of shrimp bowls. I know shrimp doesn't take that long. Not the first time it took quite a long time. Will still go back for the good food. Just a bit disappointing. read more

I was in the Moorpark area this weekend and decided to stop by Luna Grill for a quick lunch. I've eaten at several Luna Grill locations in other cities, but this visit was a completely different experience, the food was phenomenal. The shrimp kebab had the perfect char and was packed with flavor, and my Santorini bowl was fresh and equally delicious. Everything was spot on. It was noticeably better than the meals I've had at other Luna Grill locations. The cook clearly knows what he's doing and takes pride in the food he prepares. I told the manager how impressed I was, and he shared that the cook, Marcos, has been there for years. As someone who appreciates good food, I can say he's more than just a cook, he's a chef who truly understands his craft. read more
