First of all, the location. This place is in the cut. I found this on Yelp! My sons had a game out here in Simi Valley, so I Yelped it. I knew it was good basically because anybody who comes here had to look it up. They didn't just walk by or drive by. That was the first sign I knew the food was good. Number two, when I came in they had phone orders and everybody was ordering. This was around five o'clock on a Friday night. It was packed. I waited to get a seat and then I got one. The seating area really only holds about 20 people in there. I was trying to decide between the drunken noodles and the Pad See Ew. I went with the Pad See Ew. I also got the wontons. I was told the wontons had chicken in them. I was so hungry I didn't really see the chicken, but I will say this. If I travel around and eat, that Pad See Ew is in the top five. The Pad See Ew had hearty portions, pictures below. I liked the noodles and the thickness of them. The chicken was good. Good portion size. The food came out so hot I have a picture of the steam coming out. I should have probably just asked for extra vegetables, but it was really good. I see why people come here. I just drank water, didn't have any other drinks, but the food was extremely good. Four and a half stars, which brings them up. read more

We went to Simi Thai for the second time today. We don't live in Simi, but occasionally go there for various reasons. It appears to be a family owned and run business - everyone was pitching in. I ordered chicken satay, pad see ew with beef, and a seafood curry. I was very impressed that they can make everything gluten-free using gluten-free soy sauce! Not only was everything absolutely delicious like it was the first time (especially the seafood curry!) but they held my leftover food for me in their fridge while we finished cleaning out a storage unit. They get five stars for having great food, gluten-free options, and going above and beyond with their customer service. Highly recommend! read more

Not sure if they switched the chicken from breast to thigh. But today's wasn't up to par as usual. The drunken noodles had darker meat, didn't seem same. if it's switched I will switch to pork next time or would pay extra for chicken breast. read more

The staff was so friendly when I went to pick up my order! I loved the inside but it was so much smaller than I expected. There were like 3 tables and they were all full on a Saturday night. The food was incredible!! I really loved the flavor of the pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The wontons were delicious and I loved their sweet and sour sauce. The Thai tea was one of my favorites I've had. I will definitely be returning here! It will probably become my new favorite take out place. read more

I'm shy on Thai food due to my garlic sensitivity but there are a few dishes i like like shrimp pad tai, chicken skewers, the hot thai chili sauce and tonight he brought home the BEST CRAB RANGOON i've ever had . They certainly know how to do the filling right here or they use really good quality ingredients . Also , no oily taste . I have been to Simi Thai Cuisine, in Simi Valley, more than once before. The strongest memory I have always had of the place is their Curry Noodles. A dish that came in a large bowl, with a rich coconut broth, ample noodles, chicken, toppings and intense flavor. So this time too, it was the first item to order. However, I was surprised at how the overall bowl had shrunk in size :). That may have been okay if the other ingredients were proportionately distributed. Instead, more chicken, toppings and less noodles and broth. The richness in the base still prevailed, albeit, with a paler color. For our second, we opted for the Pad Prik King with beef. This dish was dynamite. The beef pieces were large but tender (I had to ask for a knife), the flavor had many layers of satisfaction and the optimum spice level. The beans were perfectly cooked al dente style, with the vibrant green color still intact. A little more sauce would have topped the dish. This restaurant has a small dining space, so remember to make reservations. The service was prompt, attentive, friendly and high class. read more

Best Thai restaurant in Simi! I'd say I've tried maybe 20% of the menu and it's all good. My go to order is the Pad That and The Garlic Pepper beef. Their chicken satay is also super good, juicy and tender. When I season you should also try their Mango with Sticky Rice. read more

This place has horrible service and average food! I ordered once for delivery and they charged over $10 and screwed up my order. But the food was decent and location is close by so I tried again. This time I opted to pick up. The order took over 40 minutes and when I got home they omitted my coconut shrimp. When I called back the lady simply said I ordered wrong even though I checked theorder screen twice. She offered nothing for their error even after I stated I will not be returning. Food again average - you cannot tell the difference between the Pad See-Ew and the Drunken Noodles. Food safety is also a concern as felt horrible the next morning! Dont go - I know we dont have a lot of options for Thai in Simi but you will thank me for driving a little further to get good and safe food served in a timely and professional manner! read more

I have an affinity for the underdog and often aim my sites to try my best to highlight the overlooked or out of the way establishments that wholly garner more attention than they have been getting. Admittedly, despite living in Simi Valley for almost four years, I was completely ignorant of this family-owned jewel until on a whim (craving) I decided to take a chance, roll the dice and see what this place was all about. Gladly, I was NOT disappointed by a generic bill-o-faire but one that was deep in flavor, full of the right amount of spice and free coconut shrimp (for to-go orders over $50). What's not to like about that? Ordering the Chicken Pad Thai, Panang Curry and Tom Kha soup to get a reading on this restaurant, I was amazed that an establishment that has just four tables, occupying a tiny space in a busy central gathering point in Simi Valley did not have people waiting to sit and enjoy these delicious menu items. Seriously, I am the lucky one for having discovered this place and felt compelled to keep this secret to myself. But, I cannot do that. So, allow me to share my assessment: yummy, spicy, filling and modestly priced food that will satisfy on every level!
