Showed up at the perfect time and got to order right away. I'm thankful the menu isn't over complicated because everything looked so good I couldn't figure out what I wanted. The music was a little loud for my liking but that's alright. Friendly wait staff, although a tad slows the chicken was hot, crispy and flavorful, there's a place where I'm from called Dave's Hot Chicken which tries to copy this joint and they could learn a thing, or ten, from Hot Motha Clucker. My friend and I split the 10 piece nuggets with medium spice and some fries which were very satisfying!
I love having Hot Motha Clucker in town. I drive up from Camarillo whenever I get a craving. It's worth the drive. George has always been so kind and friendly. The chicken is always fresh, perfectly seasoned and moist!!! But the mozzarella sticks are out of this world. I don't understand the magic or why they are so much better than anywhere else. But the delicious food keeps me coming back for more. I just wish you were in Camarillo. We could use an awesome hot chicken place here too. Keep up the good work George and I'll keep growing my Carolina Reapers, Scorpion pepper and more. LOL!!
I don't say this lightly, but Hot Mother Clucker serves the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life. Yes, better than Dave's Hot Chicken. Better than Howlin' Ray's. And the best part? This is a chicken place, but we actually went for the smash burgers! The gentleman at the register and serving us was friendly. It's a little pricey, but everything is these days. I did find it a little odd they actually had a sign saying drinks were not included with the meal because or price increase. I found this a little surprising and kind of disappointing. Seems like prices could be adjusted slightly to include it in a meal versus feeling nickel and dimed. The burgers came out pretty quickly. My family had theirs plain. I had everything on mine, although it didn't come it right they fixed it immediately. Burger wet hot and flavorful. They seemed a little greasy, but that's probably why they had good flavor. The special sauce was tasty and their fries were 10/10! We really enjoyed the seasoning on them. It was fun they had a cup pong table and also a shuffle board game. The vibes were nice. Not a ton of seating inside, but it wasn't packed so we had no issues finding a table big enough.
I really enjoyed the grilled cheese! Never tried a chicken grilled cheese like that and definitely would recommend. Also the sauce was a very tasty as well. We've been wanting to try this for while and glad we finally were around the area to try it for dinner. They have a good happy hour menu also but we stopped in for dinner. Sharing plates always helps to try more of the menu and would recommend sharing if possible but it's all good.
Hidden in a plaza in TO, next to a nail salon and Nothing Bundt Cakes is HMC. Ambiance is very casual brewery like, except they have Nashville chicken and fries haha. It's a chill spot to have dinner. Staff was friendly and nice. Ordered a #7 which includes 2 chicken tenders (mild) and a load of fries and two sauces. The combos on the menu also come with a soft drink (not stated on menu) but they do which is great cuz we def need a drink with this type of food! Prices are pretty decent for the amount of food they give. Chicken was crispy and not dry. I was pleasantly surprised by how big the tenders were. Mild was just the right amount of kick but still enjoyable. Fries were crispy. Love that they didn't skimp out on sauces either. If I crave chicken tenders and fries, I'll def come back here!

Living in Agoura, options are slim and I hate driving over the hill, so I was excited to see a Nashville-style spot open up nearby in Thousand Oaks. I ordered the #7 Nashville Fry Up (medium spice), my wife got the #5 Tender Nuggets (country style, no heat), and my father-in-law went with the #4 Filthy Fries. The chicken tenders were...fine. The seasoning was solid and the crust tasted great--crunchy and flavorful--but the breading didn't stick to the chicken at all. As soon as I cut into it, the crust fell apart and ended up all over my fries. Not the worst thing flavor-wise, just messy and a little disappointing. The Filthy Fries were exactly what they sounded like--over-the-top in a good way--but nothing mind-blowing. My wife's country-style nuggets tasted like something we could've air-fried at home. Not bad, just not $15-worthy. We were the only ones in the restaurant (Monday around 4pm), and it still took about 10-15 minutes for our food, which makes me wonder what the wait would be like during peak hours. Service felt a little off too--I tried to make small talk and it just landed awkwardly. I want to give this place another shot because it's close and has potential, but overall, it was just okay. Not a bad option if you're in the area, but probably not worth a long drive just yet.
Lunch was delicious! Was yelping around and found this place, came around 3:30 on a Sunday and place was dead (which was a good thing for us lol) The aesthetic of this place was on point . I'm sure it's popping during happy hour . I got the slider duo and it was very good . The sauce it comes with is the main character! Bomb ! My only complaint was when we were looking for a seat 80% of the tables were dirty . For being empty I would have expect the tables to atleast be clean but other than that it was a good experience. Grade : A
Tried their #1 original combo and their Nashville tenders a la carte. Got Medium spiciness level for both. For me, the heat was perfect. It's spicy enough but not torturous. Chicken is still juice and seasoning is yummy too. The toasted bread is well-buttered and toasted. The fries are perfect thickness and crispiness. Service was great. Food came out in reasonable time and perfect temperature. Restaurant is clean and plenty parking outside.
Decided to try this spot because there are only a couple of these locations and I am rarely nearby. I typically do not like tenders because they are often a dry flavorless hunk of meat and usually overrated. I'm so glad I tried these though because now I know how good tenders can be! Firstly, everything is cooked to order and comes out hot and fresh. For this reason I highly recommend ordering online for pickup or delivery if you're not planning to eat in the restaurant. With that said, I ordered a chicken sandwich, combo, medium heat and two tenders also medium heat. I almost ordered the hottest option but the cashier fair warned me that it was truly a heat that sneaks up and hangs around. I had my doubts but I'm glad I heeded his warning because the medium had a little sting to it that was slightly numbing, then a warm feeling that was comforting . So it is tolerable for those who like it a little hot yet still flavor driven. The tenders had a nice crispness along the edges and were literally tender, juicy, and oh so satisfying. I was blown away in every sense. The sandwich was enjoyable, quality products used, I just wish there was more cole slaw on it, there was only a few strands of slaw. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

For first timers, before you order walk to the bathroom. That hallway smell is like throw up and human poop at the same time. It is FOUL. Next, the woman with the glasses who helped me order before I went to the bathroom is one of the most miserable people I have met. No manners, no customer service, just transactional monotonous tones. Not an ounce of friendly in her personality at all in a customer facing position. I came in alone with nobody in front or behind me. I ordered two meals. As my meals were being made by the woman in the back, both the order taker and cook were chatting away while my order was sitting pending. Groups of people started to arrive as my order took around 20 mins to finish being made. Over the course of 45 minutes, waiting for 1 fry, 1 Mac, and a sandwich, a full 9-10 orders were taken while my food sat on the kitchen desk waiting to be bagged and given to me. I hinted to the woman taking orders that my Mac might not be made correctly without spice in order to get her attention to my food. She inspected the Mac, said it was okay, then placed my food back on the waiting table. The whole order was ready. She knowingly had me wait longer than necessary, despite being equipped with the knowledge that I was there for a LONG time. I waited 45 mins and gave her an opportunity to bag my food and get me out of there. Again, when I ordered I was ALONE in the shop. The ridiculousness of this doesn't end there. The food is absolutely terrible. The fries taste gross and look/feel like cardboard. Picture attached. There is no redeeming quality of this place. If you want better hot chicken, angry chicks is up the street.
I'm all about finding a good tender place, so I was super excited to hear about this restaurant. I didn't realize I had passed this place many times without realizing it was even here. First off, love the vibe of the restaurant. While waiting for our food, we had a lot of fun playing shuffleboard. Feels like it would be a good place to come for dinner, grab a beer, and play the game. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was so juicy with the perfect spice level. Combined with the soft bread and tasty sauce, it was exactly what a chicken sandwich should be. Fries could use a bit more seasoning, but the seasoning is a great compliment to the fries. And they give you a boatload of fries! We also grabbed a chicken tender order, and we found the typical spice levels to be pretty accurate. The tenders are also surprisingly large, so a good amount of quality chicken for the money. Compared to the sandwich, even though it's good, I'd rather order just the tender meal - feels like a better bang for your buck. Overall, I was super pleased with the experience here and am happy to have found a new, good chicken tender place!
Great comfort food option overall! The inside is small but decorated very well, which makes it inviting. I went in the middle of the day so the bar area and game section were not busy, but I think the atmosphere has potential later hours in the evening. The service was good! It is a fast casual type of spot, but the employee working at the time answered some questions I had and took time to talk to me while I was waiting. On that note, I think there was only one cook during lunch time. And it did take time for my food to come out, also assuming it is fresh and made to order.
My 2nd time dining here and was just as good as the 1st. First time I tried the Double smash burger, this time I tried the Nashville chicken sliders and this is some good hot chicken. Crispy outside with a kick (your choice of heat levels) covering a moist meaty chunk of chicken. French fries are just as good. Smash sauce is very good and also has a slight kick. Simple ambiance with friendly help. Great location and parking. Our dishes came out hot and plenty. Reasonable prices. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Mangiamo! read more
Was so excited to find out that Hot Motha Clucker is halal - love having different options in TO. Brought my family here on a Saturday night and was greeted by the kind gentleman at the counter who answered all our questions. They have shuffleboard, beer pong table, and TVs to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. Unfortunately a big group walked in 15 minutes after us and I could see our food was just sitting ready at the kitchen counter after the chef rang the bell to let the worker know it was ready. The worker was busy answering their questions and putting in their orders that our food just sat there until I finally got up to ask him if I could grab it. I heard another woman who was frustrated at pick-up as she was waiting a while for her food. There definitely needs to be more than one person at the front on a Saturday night. Overall, enjoyed most of the food. Would come back for the loaded fries and smash burgers. Didn't love the chef special. read more

Today I finally checked out Hot Motha Clucker in Thousand Oaks, CA and damn did this spot hit! Even on a rushed hump day - between meeting clients - and adventure, I was able to make time to stop in. I've been eyeing this spot for a minute now and so glad to say I was able to give them a try. Seriously they are serving up some of the best hot chicken on this side of town. This will definitely be my new go to spot in T.O. Their seasoning was done right and they have that Good Good Ranch. I also love that they have a variety of items aside from chicken - they've got burgers, shakes, fried pickles, sandwiches and fried mozzarella sticks. Here's what I sampled today: * Mild Hot Chicken Tenders: 9.5/10. Crispy batter, awesome seasoning, and white meat chicken - this dish was fire. And don't forget, while the strips come with their tasty secret sauce I actually found the ranch to be so bomb! That's the way to go. Get yourself a side of their ranch, trust the process. * Smash Burger & Fries: 8/10. A perfectly good smash burger. Loved the crispy smashed patties, melty cheese and sauce. Fries could have been a little warmer though. Oopsies. * Mac & Cheese: 9/10. Super creamy and heartwarming. Tastes like being a kid again. A feel good side dish. Super happy I stumbled upon Hot Motha Clucker today. While I didn't have time to dine inside, they had cute decor and it was very clean. Loved the look of the place. I throughly enjoyed the cashier, the decor, the MUSIC, and the just the chicken sandwich overall was incredible. The mild chicken sandwich was thick, crunchy, but had a great bounce to the chicken itself paired with a lightly seasoned slaw made it super balanced. I was surprised by how many fries there were as they were well seasoned too. While the cashier provided extra sauces, the sandwich and fries were so well seasoned and tasted great so I didn't need the extra flavor. I'd come again with other friends and family as this is a great step up from a regular fast food restaurant like Chick Fil A with so much more variety and flavor. read more

A little Birdie told me to try this Place out. First thing you must know is the location is not easy to find with Navigation. I passed it and had to reroute to actually find the little shopping center it's in. Tucked in the middle of Other little shops. Once I found it I was delighted by the inside ambience! Very inviting with upbeat music, two walls of TV screens, beer pong tables & board games. Kinda gives me a sports bar vibe. I'm sure kids are welcome but I didn't see a kids menu. Being my first time here I was over thinking the whole ordering process. Ordering was easier than I expected. Shelly (cashier) helped me pick the degree of heat for my Clucker I know I would have picked the wrong one!! I got the original Clucker and it was Perfect! The size of the chicken breast was the size of the bun! Every bite was just as good as the next. It comes served with a generous amount of seasoned fries. Fountain drinks are number one when you're eating spicy chicken!! I'm glad I found this place. I will definitely be back! The food is fresh & Prices are great when you consider what they charge now at McDonald's & Burger King for garbage!! read more
This was my first time here and it was fantastic! I was there about 2pm so I was able to order quick. Got their mild hot chicken sandwich with fries. I'm not a hot Spice person so the mild was amazing and the chicken was so tender. It's a nice place with a great selection of draft beers. I'm definitely going back when I can have a beer and sandwich. read more

Wow an actual legit spicy chicken place in Conejo Valley. What a hidden gem this place is. I've only tried the HMC sandwich and hot fries on the menu and I'm hooked. Friendly reminder that their heat is on point! I love spicy food and mild is just right amount heat for me. If you don't like your food too spicy, definitely go down the heat level. I went here on Friday night around 7PM and there were not that many people dinning in inside. It does seem like they get a good amount of to go orders since they ran out of chicken quickly after I placed my order. Maybe they just opened so they didn't plan for this high volume so I would suggest come in here earlier rather than later. read more

This Food was SO GOOD!!! I danced in my seat at every bite! I ordered the chefs special which is a grilled cheese with a chopped tender and I opted for medium heat *chefs kiss* & my husband ordered the filthy fries and again BOMB! I traded my fries for the fried pickles and they were crispy and seasoned so well! I even bought a second sandwich to go because I'm greedy and they were delicious! I am so sad they are not in Texas but I will be back and make SURE to stop again! read more

A small restaurant tucked away in a small shopping center. Walked in but we weren't acknowledged. Not sure if they didn't noticed us and the family that walked in though since they did say hi to others that walked in about 15 minutes after us. We ordered our food and they took our order and the wait was about 30 minutes for only us and the one other family being there. The food was great super good made up for the wait. They taste better then famous daves. We got medium & hot. The hot is hotter than famous daves hottest flavor. I would definitely come in again if I'm in the city. I think the only thing is they need friendly customer service or at least look happy when someone places an order. They have a little table to play while you wait for food to. read more

Definitely for Nashville chicken lover Our first time here and recommended #6 and we were going to order fried pickle so casher substitute one of French fry to pickles to save bit. He was super kind and friendly. Pretty good and a lot of seasoning. My husband and I had two different kind and one for non-seasoning to try. It was a good choice. Randomly found this place after a Google search for chicken. Super surprised that nobody was here on a Saturday evening but it was good for us. The chicken is spicy, no matter the level but that's too be expected at a hot chicken restaurant. Medium was even too hot for us and I thought it we liked spicy. The fries are sooooo good and even have spicy seasoning on them. The sliders were the perfect size and delicious. We would definitely come back and try more! read more
Delicious nashville hot chicken spot in TO with great vibes!! They have daily happy hour deals and a cool set up for games including jenga, shuffleboard and beer pong. Food was good - I liked that they had different variations/options and the ability to customize spice. Only downside was that the portions were a little small for the price, but food was delicious nonetheless. Would definitely return and tell my fellow hot chicken lovers!! read more

It was in the afternoon after the lunch crowd already had dispersed when I reached to this unique chicken sandwich place. As a 1st timer, I scanned across the menu board in search of its special item, what made it unique; it found out later that the sauce is its uniqueness, from 'country', no heat, mild, medium, hot, to 'Clucked Up'. I wasn't ready for 'clucked up', so I ordered a medium l, original moths clucker sandwich combo. Not a bad choice, after all. Price was average. In fact, very comparable or on cheaper side than the McDonald's decent chicken sandwich combo menu. The decor of the place was pretty modern minimalist with dark washed background. A few tables for eat in customers and counter for order & pickup. There were a few puzzles for eat-in customers to play while waiting for their order. There was a pong game table for serious party goers. A line of beer kegs were lined up on the floor to fulfill those beer pong-gamers. I could visual a happy hour there (not sure if they have a happy hour; I forgot to ask) I also noticed a few Hookahs on display, not sure if they were available for customers to use. For those who were low on their cell phone, a charging station was available on the counter. Perhaps, paid per usage. Enquirer at the.counter. The parking to this j on by was a bit tricky, one way in & the same way to come out. No EV chargers in its immediate vicinity. Overall, I enjoyed the sandwich just would remember to try its clucked up heat level. I definitely recommend this place if you are in town in Thousand Oaks. Hot Motha Clucker exceeded my expectations! I had heard about Hot Motha Clucker and I finally tried it tonight. It is safe to say that I have been missing out on this delicious fried chicken spot! The women working were nice and friendly. The interior has a bunch of TVs, shuffle board, and a beer pong type game. Seems like it would be a good spot to grab food, drink a beer, and watch a sports game. I ordered the original motha clucker sandwich with no heat. I was hesitant about the spice levels, but next time I will try the mild or medium. Without the heat seasoning, it was still fantastic! All of the food was hot and made fresh when I ordered it.The chicken tender was cooked perfectly so that the chicken was not dry. The bun was grilled on the inside and soft on the outside. The pickles and coleslaw paired with the sandwich perfectly. Then the fries.....the fries were seasoned and sooo good! I tried their ranch and their house sauce. Loved them both! The house sauce was great for the sandwich and to dip the fries in. I also was excited to see that they offered Stubborn sodas at their soda fountain. I tried the pineapple cream soda and it was sweet and refreshing. There is nothing I would change about the food I ate at Hot Motha Clucker! I loved it all! I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. I will absolutely come back and want to try the other items on their menu. read more
