I stopped by Tutti Frutti in Newbury Park after a haircut next door. It was raining, so the place was empty, but no one was at the counter. I had to call out before someone finally walked out from the back. When I asked for a sample cup, he said they don't offer samples. At a self-serve frozen yogurt shop, that's ridiculous. You can't even try the flavors before committing. This isn't the first time I've been in, and last time, one machine wasn't working and another was producing watery, goopy yogurt. So you're basically gambling with every visit. Today, I picked two flavors that looked decent and added a few toppings, but nothing wild. The cup was barely half full. Total? Almost eight dollars. That's absurd for what I got. There are no super-small cup sizes, and it felt like they included the cup's weight in the price. The toppings are fine, but nothing special. The prices are insane, the service is nonexistent, and the no-sample policy makes no sense. Skip this place and buy a pint of ice cream at the store. You'll be happier and spend less. read more

Choco chips were solid, nice array of toppings. I docked some points because I noticed the froyo was a little melted upon dispensing & not as solidified as other froyo places I've been to. Owner was pretty straightforward when he asked me to put my froyo on the scale, nothing stood out (good/bad) in terms of service. Tutti Frutti not so fresh and fruity! I've been to this location a couple times and it really doesn't fit the rest of the businesses it surrounds. It's neighbors including, but not limited to Starbucks, Daphne's, MOD Pizza, The Habit, Chipotle, Islands, Ranch Hand Bbq are all in the same plaza and 100% look hungry for your business. Tutti Frutti on the other hand looks a bit out of place and going inside it doesn't get better. It's dark, not well lit and doesn't give off those good dessert vibes that other Frozen Yogurt shops do. When I think of Froyo, I want to be excited! I mean c'mon, it's dessert we are talking about here!! Think about it for a minute.. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner- None of these are Required for survival, but definitely recommended for a healthy & balanced lifestyle. Breakfast- The meal to 'break your fast' from the sleep the night before. Lunch- Your Mid Day meal because that bowl of oatmeal and coffee you had just ain't cutting it from breakfast. Dinner- The last great meal before bed because you know what's waiting for you in the morning ;) But Dessert!! That's not a requirement nor is it recommended, but it's the FUN meal, the extra one we ALL look forward to occasionally having. When we want a dessert; Frozen Yogurt for example, we want to go to a place that's inviting, that is fun & most of all full of sweets for the prized dessert we all look forward to. Although Tutti Frutti meets the minimum standard of fulfilling the sweet tooth craving, it's far from an experience that makes me want to run back for more. I've reviewed many a froyo establishments during my few active months on this app. That being said, I can state with supreme confidence that this wonderland of the aforementioned consumable is top of the line. Let me start off by saying that as you walk in, you are met with a fan that blows cool air on your sweaty frame, assuming you are only seeking to obtain froyo during the summer. If you are not then that is your first mistake. Then, upon opening your eyes after adjusting to the subtle change in humidity levels caused by said fan, you witness what has to be 20+ variations of the frozen base. A complaint I had was the diversity other froyo chains possessed in their flavor assortment, or lack thereof. However, tutti frutti has a spectrum of them that could please anyone ranging from a young adolescent who seeks only to satiate his sweet tooth, to more sophisticated palates who yearn for complexity in their cup. The toppings only add to the wonderful experience, topping off not only your summit of frozen yogurt, but your overall experience as well. read more

Owner is incredibly rude. I offered to pay for a small cup of yogurt that seemed off in taste but he got mad and said he had cleaned out the container. I told him I'm just letting him know it's odd in flavor and tastes odd as we always get it and it's definitely foul. I got a replacement and insisted he takes the money for both. Only half the lights are on so it is incredibly dim inside, I had to double check that they were actually open. (Possibly trying to cut back on electricity usage/costs due to COVID struggles, so I can empathize) It was a little disappointing that they only had 3 fruit flavors available, the rest were chocolate, Oreo, vanilla bean, cappuccino, coconut/almond, etc. despite these small things though, the actual reason I'm docking 2 stars is due to the owner. He was not friendly at all, I tried to smile and talk a bit, but he didn't crack a smile once or care to interact, other than to tell me "put your cups on the scale" and "ok $17.99" After he put my cups in a bag I grabbed 2 spoons and he snapped at me that he had already put spoons in the bag. Idk, I'm just big on customer service and this place had none. I also think 17.99 is pretty overpriced for 2 small cups of fro-yo with very light toppings. Probably should have asked for a receipt. I came here specifically for "Oh my Buns", and left pleasantly surprised. They have a selection of 3 "specialty" buns (Almond, Chocolate, cinnamon sugar), or the original Coffee buns. Each one is about $2 each. I think there's a combo that comes with coffee for $3. Each bun has a baked on coffee glaze on the outside, and a sweet buttery interior. They position it as a healthier alternative to donuts, but we'll let the food scientists figure that one out. The 3 specialty buns, taste about the same as the coffee buns, so if you want to save an extra 30 cents or so, go with the original coffee one. Tip: Make sure you get it toasted if you're eating it in the store. If not, ignore the microwave instructions on the bag, and warm it up in the toaster oven instead. The free samples there don't do the bun justice... getting a toasted one makes a world of difference. read more

Quite delicious; I LOVE the raspberry flavor I had that one time...which I haven't seen since. They recently had orange sorbet and I had the great idea to mix it with chocolate or vanilla. Yay! This is one of your typical self-serve frozen yogurt joints with all the toppings you can imagine. However....I still like Yogurtland better. This place is a worthy alternative. Yum! They also have some other business running breakfast out of it on MWF. They sell coffee and these delicious looking coffee buns. Unfortunately, they don't open till what seems to be 10:30 am, so they must be catering to people that don't have jobs. If anyone knows if they open earlier for the coffee buns, please let me know; I want one so bad!! I wish they were open on the weekends for breakfast. So glad I found this place! Met a friend here for a catch up session because we needed a place between Camarillo and Thousand Oaks. The inside is much nicer than I expected, girly modern feel. They offer a variety of flavors including fat-free, sugar-free, and dairy free options. I judge a yogurt place based on their classic tart flavor and this place has one of the best fat-free versions. It's much creamier than yogurtland's tart although the texture is a bit softer. I'm sure that varies day to day based on machine temperature though. The taste is richer and more like a full-fat yogurt. I've been on a weird tart and cereal kick (it's like cereal and milk! kinda) and none of the cereals in my cereal medley were stale which oftentimes is the case at other froyo places. They had a variety of other topping options including fresh fruit, nuts, mochi, and those strange juice bubbles. Also, the man at the front was super nice. They have spoons stacked nicely by color that you can choose from which allows me to avoid the feeling of violation I get when a teenybopper shoves a spoon into my carefully created concoction. (I didn't want the green one!). Plenty of parking because it's in a huge plaza with starbucks and various other restaurants. I think pricing is higher than yogurtland but not by much based on how much I paid for my yogurt. read more

Last night, at about 9:30 PM, I loaded the family into the car for a quick trip over to Tutti Frutti for some frozen yogurt... but only after checking Google for the store hours to ensure they were open. We arrived, about 15 minutes later, to find the store closed. This isn't the first time that the store has not been open the hours it publishes. Of course, this isn't my only complaint against Tutti Frutti. On more than one occasion, we have visited the location (it is very convenient to The Habit and Daphne's) and it has smelled of sewage -- dirty drains, or worse. We have walked out. We had the taste for some sweets after lunch and came across Tutti Frutti in a very busy strip mall complex. It is a serve yourself yogurt with approx 8 flavors at one time that is on a rotational basis. The cups are huge, no small ones and no cones. The reason why?, it is all paid for by the weight. Even the smallest cup is large. Enough for two people. Very clean and they have fruit, candies, broken up cookies to add to your cup if you wish as well. I had the banana and death by chocolate mixed together, (you do this yourself) and added a couple of fruits. As it was getting weighed I accidently knocked it over turning to get my wallet. I made a bit of a mess, however, the person working the counter was very friendly and took care of my stupidity and told me to go back and get more. I did not as I was embarrassed. The taste of everything was spot on and I could not see anything suspect at any level here. I would highly recommend this place for a sweet treat. read more
