I've been coming to this place for many years. It's one of my go-to spots for a filling smoothie or one of their bowls. My favorites are the Mystic smoothie and Buddha bowl. The folks working are friendly and helpful especially when I'm feeling indecisive about which smoothie to get. It's a smallish place inside but the location has great outdoor seating. I ordered a sandwich online and scheduled it for pick up, paid online and everything and when I arrived they said my order hadn't come up. I had already paid online but they handled it poorly and acted as though I was trying to get the food for free, even after showing them my confirmation email with correct name,date, time, and location. One employee began making my sandwich, but sent her manager over to check my confirmation email for a second time, after she had already assured me she would start my order. The manager then proceeded to act like I was lying about it being on my bank statement until I physically pulled it up on my banking app to show her the charge. I do wish healthy spots like this were more accessible for everyone to enjoy. I got the pink cloud smoothie and my mom got the acai bowl. Thousand Oaks, CA Sun Life Organics just makes me happy! I am so sad to find out the Pasadena, CA location closed down during the past year and will not reopen. This was the next closest location to me yesterday and since I was going to be in the area I wanted to stop in. I walked in and I remembered why this is my favorite juice shop. I have been to this location probably 20 times and am frustrated that every time I order the same smoothie it always turns out different. My go to is the matcha goddess. It is so yummy and really unique to SunLife and can't be replicated anywhere else. The problem is that it is always inconsistent. Sometimes it will be watery which is frustrating, sometimes it will be too thick and hard to drink through a straw. I love when there are chunks of dates in it and I can kind of chew it while drinking but today I went and it was completely blended- no bits of dates. For $16+ a smoothie i just want some consistency and for this reason idk if I can keep stomaching then high costs not knowing if it will turn out good. read more

I always grab a smoothie from SunLife whenever I'm in Thousand Oaks or Malibu. My 2 favorite go to smoothies are Wolverine and the Athlete. The Thousand Oaks location is always less crowded than the Malibu ones. They don't accept over the phone orders but they have their own app where you can order ahead quickly. They app is great! This location is more of a grab and go place. There's no WiFi available to customers and the store is small with only a couple of bar stools to sit in while you wait for your drinks. read more

Not really my kind of place. It's a cashless, overpriced juice and coffee bar that serves smoothies, protein shakes, fruit bowls and a few other odds & ends. Some items on the menu which caught my attention: the Bone Broth for $9.95; the Samurai Bowl (filled with strawberries, banana and coconut) for $16.95; and the Billion-Dollar Bowl (more fruit) for $35. I know there is a demographic for this kind of offering, but I'm just saying that it isn't for me. I can say that the service was friendly and the place is clean and airy. Yes the prices are steep but the quality is almost always terrific and I absolutely love their açaí bowls and the mystic shake. Today I ordered the blue majik and it wasn't edible. It could have been just me because it wasn't my thing, it tasted like aspartame and was a really really frothy consistency. Long story short, I called and Kieran was awesome and told me I could come back for a different shake which meant a lot as a longtime customer. I love sunlife. I know it gets a rap for being overpriced, hipster, woo-ey, malibu surfer eats or whatever, but I still enjoy it every time I come here. I know it'll be $20 for my smoothie or bowl but for me it's worth it. I only come every now and then for that reason. But let me tell you that Buddha bowl with all the almond butter on top (sub granola btw it's way better) or that mint chocolate chip shake - so damn tasty. I will say I prefer to get the whey isolate rather than the plant protein, even though that would be my preference, the plant protein here is quite chalky. They have some odd ingredients on the menu Id never get, just take a look at the recipe for the million dollar bowl for instance. But this place always brings me joy so I can't knock it too much. Plus, staff is always attentive and professional. More so than your local Jamba or something. read more

I absolutely love Sun Life! Where do I even begin? Okay, I am a huge foodie but I am also very healthy conscious, especially recently. When I am on the go, as a real estate agent it can be difficult for me find a nice & healthy place to grab a quick snack. Sunlife is perfect for acia bowls or smoothies. I especially love to get acia bowls from here because I do prefer to make my own protein shakes at home for dinner. The price is pretty high, the acia bowl can be considered average but a smoothie from here can cost almost $30. You get what you pay for of course, so I am not giving bad reviews for a pricey juice bar. Overall the quality here well makes up for it. The place is located in a shopping center so parking is very easy & free. It is a great place to grab a smoothie, or even sit and eat your acia bowl next to the beautiful lakes. read more

Stumbled upon this smoothie gem didn't know that it's part of the original location in Malibu which I heard fantastic conversations about and how is was the original smoothie bar in Malibu. The staff is super friendly and they have a small selection of grab and go items and self care products such as a unique coconut oil lotion that smells like the islands. The prices are a bit high but that's the cost of doing business when using quality ingredients. My smoothie was $11 and I didn't add any ingredients, the taste was so good.
