I have been to Daikin Park (Minute Maid) more than any other ballpark and I have been to 28 different teams. I rank ballparks on 4 categories: Architecture, Food, fan base, and what I call other. Architecture: On the outside, it's kind of blah but inside it has some charm. It has a retractable roof, but I have never seen the roof open which loses some appeal for me. I love the big window in left field and the train that runs from left to center. It was cooler when it was full of oranges though. Food: Solid. All of the standard foods and some crazy stuff. My buddies got a blooming onion that had burnt ends, cheese, sour cream and chives on top. They said it was great. I got brisket donuts which were not the best to me. Basically, breaded brisket shaped into a donut, deep fried and drizzled in bbq sauce. The beer selection was very good with Karbach and St Arnold, 2 local breweries each having a tap room on site. Fan Base: The place was full and the fans were all into the game. Lots of orange everywhere. Other: Close to all the downtown hotels, the convention center, lots of bars and restaurants including 3 breweries. Fun tip: get a 15.00 tab at Frost Town Brewing and get free parking for the game. Oh, and this place has more advertisements than NASCAR. The only place left they can put up an ad are the bases. " Altuve slides into second base brought to you by Imodium AD"

Daikin Stadium To catch American baseball, at an American stadium live was something at the back of my mind. Couldn't believe that I actually got to do it and Astros won the match that day, and THAT made all the difference. The erstwhile Minute Maid park was brought over by Daikin and Astros get to rule here. Watching on TV gives all the close ups, but the Texan pride songs, the motivation trumpets, the train horn when one hits a home run, that's just such a blast and have to be in person to experience it. ! It is an all natural grass field. Wonder how they maintain it. I thought it was a carpet until I was rectified. It is just soo neat and beautiful. While it is majorly a baseball stadium, during off seasons it is also used for soccer, rugby, or even concerts. The hallway is filled with pictures of legends and Baseball heroes. The floor shines like a new penny and everyone is soo very friendly and in the spirit of the game. Parking was a breeze since it was VIP entrance. But, there is a huge huge parking fitting all pockets, with some walking involved. There is a also a metro station about 15-20 min walk, for those who want to be spared the trouble of parking. Got entrance with the Gallagher club which was right next to the train (the train while hoots and moves at every home run) As soon as the wards outside check ur tickets and let you in, you walk right into a restaurant cum bar kind of a place. Except that all food, and most beverages are free, or, added onto the price of the ticket... The food bar was huge and a lot of them did not speak english, but that did not matter because those who could went out of their way to help me get only vegetarian. I stuck to salads and then loaded myself on desserts- oh the desserts ! I mean their bite size cakes, the mango pudding, cookies....and ice cream....it was just a party ! The game itself It was the first of the three matches of the Astros team. They played against Rookies. The friends' I went with explained the scoring and the rules and stuff, and pretty soon I was oohing and awwing and screaming while rooting for the home team. It was soo much fun !!! Not my first time in a stadium, but definitely my first time watching Astros, or even baseball for that matter in live action. Astros won and the stadium ruptured with screams. Ahhh...THAT ...that is what makes a live action sport all worth it. (U can book driverless cab WAYMO near the stadium The cherry on the top was I also saw my first electric driverless cab. It has a bigger board and runs in the downtown area of Houston for now. As I watched the passengers get into the car, my heart was beating fast with anxiety. THough I am aware that it is where the future is heading, a car with no driver- still gives me the chills ! .....Lol ) A great night overall. Perfect blast of a getaway with friends.

Daikin Park has that classic baseball charm and is home to the Houston Astros. The downtown skyline can be seen from inside the ball park. The historic Union Station entrance is unique and the retractable roof keeps games comfortable while still giving you that open-air feel. Inside, the atmosphere is electric. Astros fans show up, and when the team is playing well, the place gets loud. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The food scene has leveled up too. It's not just standard stadium food anymore. You'll find everything from Texas BBQ to creative local eats and solid cocktail and dessert options. Parking can be a headache as with any ball park, and downtown traffic before and after games is no joke. Whether you're an Astros fan or just love the game, Daikin park is a must visit.

Daikin Park (formerly Minute Maid Park) is a clean, comfortable, fully air-conditioned stadium that makes watching baseball in Houston actually enjoyable--especially during those hot Texas days. The climate control alone is a huge win, and the retractable roof adds flexibility depending on the weather. The views from just about anywhere in the park are great, and the overall atmosphere is exciting whether you're a die-hard fan or just there for the experience. One of the coolest features is the iconic train in left field--it's a fun touch that gives the stadium its own personality. Amenities are solid across the board. There's a massive jumbotron, plenty of food options (the brisket nachos are a must-try), and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. Parking can be a bit tricky and pricey right near the stadium, so it's worth parking a few blocks away to save some money and enjoy a short walk in. The only downside is the cost of food and drinks - they're definitely on the expensive side and concession lines can get long during peak times. Overall: A fantastic ballpark with great comfort and unique features. Just plan ahead for parking and be ready to spend a little extra on snacks!

Nothing crazy, just another ballpark. It's big, it's go a roof, plenty of vendors- among them big names such as Taqueria Arandas, Love Street, Pluckers and Chick Fila. $18 for a beer is up there to say the least. The guys walking around selling concessions do not really care if they're blocking you from your seat, it's understandable that transactions can take a few minutes it's pretty rude to keep people waiting for most of an inning since other patrons are heckling for you to sit down- not very professional. Hacks for parking- park at a bar nearby, or go to Ninfa's on Navigation. Food- bring a gallon bag with snacks and food from your favorite spot. You can bring a water bottle too as long as it's sealed and under a liter. Over in the low 100's there's a booth for designated or responsible drivers where you pledge you won't drink and drive and you'll get a drink voucher for a fountain drink. Friday fireworks are worth staying after the last inning.

Was at Daikin park for an army deployment ceremony. It was so awesome that the owner of the Astros volunteered to open the park to all of the soldiers and their families!!!

Formerly known as Minute Maid Park, Daikin Park was just a name change to me because everything is the same as I remembered. It was my pleasure to attend 2 Astros games in 2025. One was in May to celebrate AAPI Heritage with my nonprofit group and the other one in June for no particular reason. Well, I missed the Pride game on that Tuesday. So, I came back that Friday to buy the Pride shirt. Entering the park is easier now. But it took a little time on the first time. Because I had to create an MLB Go-ahead Entry. It took the same amount of time to wait in line to get scanned. My second time was just walk up and do a face scan and I am in. The app was only for ticket management. My face acts as my ticket for entry. So neat. It also knows how many people are on my ticket. The tickets are not cheap. The cheapest ticket to watch Astros will be far up by the roof. Me and my friend got dizzy walking up from the aisle to the seat. Well... we didn't go far. took some pictures before we walked up. I could use the app to transfer my ticket to a friend and vice versa. Services were pretty good at Daikin Park during the Astros games. I would definitely coming back next Astros season, mostly during pre-season. I like the atmosphere, not too much of the games.

Taken in section 417, row 1 - great seats!

My all-time favorite baseball stadium! I absolutely LOVE that it has a retractable roof - this keeps us cool on hot, humid Houston days and dry whenever it randomly decides to rain. The AC is almost always blasting inside, which is such a blessing compared to other stadiums. I love that they have so many different photo op spots! Plus, the announcer is so entertaining!! His enthusiasm is so infectious, you can't help but smile and enjoy the atmosphere. Whether you're a longtime fan or just attending a game while you're in town, you're sure to make some lasting memories!

I am here for the Humble High School graduation ceremony. It is very sad that in this very sophisticated facility, the school was reduced to using two stand alone speakers that do not provide sufficient sound for the size of the stadium, crowd and graduates. We were unable to hear the National Anthem or even know if the Pledge of Allegiance to the flags was recited. The graduates are sitting all the way to the left of the stage, so I am sure they cannot even hear what is being said for and about them. I would think that the facility management would have provided whatever was needed to make this experience truly memorable for the community.

Attended my first Astros game playing the Yankees and I had so much fun! Being a native Houstonian, I've never attended a game here but now am eager to go back. I was able to find free parking a few blocks over. It was easy to locate our gate due to security being on the corner directing people on where to go. Check in was straight forward. Since it was a Tuesday, we partook in the $1 hot dog special which did not disappoint. The infamous El Tiempo margarita line was super long so I waited until the 6th inning to grab drinks. One drink is valid per ID so my boyfriend did end up having to rush over to order his. They were really good! Our section was lively with great seats. I am looking forward to attending another game!

This was my second visit to the Astros ballpark, with my first visit coming in 2009. I'm not a big fan of the park. First, there isn't a lot around the park to visit pregame. Second, unless you're on the lower level the A/C doesn't make it up to the second deck. I've been to all the current domed stadiums in MLB and this is in the bottom tier of that group. I will say for a Thursday afternoon game, the crowd was energetic and the employees were friendly. Overall the stadium just feels large. It will probably be another 16 years before I visit here again. Not a fan.

12/2/2025: I am finding it difficult to call it anything other than Minute Maid Juice Box. We attended the Astros Light Up The Park last night. It was really cool. We got to go on the field and in the visitor dugout. Well done and it was neat to be in the park off season. GO 'STROS!

Such a great Park to experience priceless memories at, the baseball games, the concerts. This is nostalgic. Although there was a name change everything else feels familiar. Easy entry, affordable food, huge merch store! We love this classic Houston staple. We hope it's around for many more years to come!

It being my first time going to NRG I want quite sure what to expect. I will say this though that NRG and Google/ Apple maps need to figure out why the orange parking lot is sending people to the wrong location. Outside of that everything else flowed so smoothly! From parking passes to checking in, everything was digital with plenty of kiosk all around. The lines flowed so smoothly you would've never thought that there were over 60k people in attendance. Also thank God the A/C was working because temps were at 100 degrees and I would've passed out for sure. There were plenty of food trucks outside of the stadium, but once inside you were kind of limited to your typical hotdogs, nachos, and the sort. I tried the hotdog which was just ok and the chicken fingers tasted more like fried pieces of batter than actual chicken smh. So likely didn't get much chicken to say the least. Now the fries were exceptional! Thankfully fifa also allowed guests to bring in one water bottle do that cane in clutch along with fill up stations all around the facilities. The game was the highlight of the experience! Watching Canada vs Morocco in action was amazing. The energy inside of NRG was unmatched. Everyone was just so respectful and nice. Even though two of the players did get into a lil argument at one point in the game. Overall, great seats for a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you NRG for being apart of the World Cup tour. Parking was plentiful since it was a huge lot. The venue itself is quite big - multiple floors and wide in length. There were lots of tables with individual monitors with horse races streaming from different regions of the U.S, along with lots of TVs by the food court area. Plenty of people just watching the different races streamed on the TV happily. Betting takes place on the kiosks spread throughout the building. There's a variety of methods to bet, but easily thing to do is take a picture of the screen and have ChatGPT explain it to you lol since it's a lot of information to digest if you're a first timer. Betting is minimum $2 to start. The nachos were cheap and filling - $10 for a spread shared among two people. Plenty of cheap food available. Now for the actual racing, there was a lot of seating (albeit, they were not labeled). We actually sat in the paid, reserved seating with the TV monitors (which was quite nice, since you could see the camera following the horses racing outside on the track up close), until we were kicked out since we could show the ticket narc our tickets. We relocated to a different seating area next to it, and again after a few rounds, we were ticket-checked again and had to move. Finally, we discovered the free seating, which is at the very end on the left side of the building, with the auditorium-like seats (furthest from the fancy restaurant they have). It wasn't terrible, and we spent most of the time at the paid seating anyways. Would recommend better signage because as newbies to the horse racing venue, we didn't know any better. A lot of friend groups, families, singles, all gathered to watch the horse racing, and TBH, I got pretty into it once I started betting (rabbit hole?), so it was quite fun. There was even a hat contest that was cute to watch! I'd come back! It was a unique way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

I tend to forget about this venue as it is sandwiched between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. NRG Arena is definitely old school (it was built in 1974). It actually reminds me of Burger Center in Austin which was also built in the 70s (IYKYK). The capacity is 8K, but it seemed smaller to me. Because it's an older venue, it doesn't have features such as illuminated stairs (like Toyota Center). People were using their cell phone flash lights to go up and down the stairs in the dark. The concourse area is a bit on the small side. The bathrooms weren't great but they weren't a complete disaster. On my last visit, I attended the World AIDS Day concert with Janet Jackson (she was amazing!). The staff was helpful with finding our seats as well as the merch table. We had a row of just 3 chairs which meant we had the entire row to ourselves (my best friend is brilliant lol). The sound quality was better than I was expecting, though at one point the volume of Janet's vocals seemed off. I didn't buy any food or drinks, but I imagine it's overpriced like any other venue.
