Came here on a late Sunday afternoon. Was able to find free parking across the street at Bellaire United Methodist, which appears to provide parking for Evelyn's Park on the weekends(?) Took the kids here for a playdate and they had a great time running between the three playgrounds. We just went to chat with friends while the kids ran around. Looks like there is a large area that I didn't even explore. Great open area for the kids and in a former life this probably would be a nice date spot. Beautiful weather, fresh air... can't complain. Well maybe except for the limited parking but it wasn't bad at all. Definitely recommend this gem!

This is an incredible park that is right next to a restaurant. The air is always abuzz with live music. Make sure you check it the parking lot as there are not many parking spaces however there are always people pulling in and out so you might snag a spot. the park is really well laid out. it is gorgeous landscaping, and it has plenty of trees for shade and benches to watch the kids. We love the cement slide and the mountain climbing hill (with a rope to pull yourself up). The kids love climbing up on the logs. There is also a splash pad just next to the main area. This is definitely reminiscent of the new park that opened at Hermann park with the steep grading, the canopies, and the area up top overlooking the entire park. This is easily one of the top 10 parks in Houston.

This is a cute little park with free parking. There is an American style diner with picnic tables, Betsy's, which is part of the Adair group. The Alice in Wonderland sculpture is a perfect picture opportunity for adults and kids. It has been expanded. I saw a sandbox, ropes, water fountains for kids to run around, a tobogan, and of course, a walking trail. This is a nice place to bring the kids. I went there because Yelp Elite Helene had posted photos of medical inflatables. So I rushed to see them that same day because they only had them there for one day.

Love this small park in Bellaire. I remember when this was Teas Nursery. Founded in 1910, Teas was the first business in Bellaire. Edward Teas was a horticulturalist who provided many of the beautiful plants that grace Bellaire Boulevard, Rice University and historic neighborhoods and businesses. Many of our fruit trees, roses and azaleas came from Teas Nursery. When Teas closed its doors a century later in 2009, brothers Jerry and Maury Rubenstein petitioned the City of Bellaire and then raised the funds to create a park to be named in honor of their mother, Evelyn. So Evelyn's Park was born. Today, Evelyn's Park is growing, expanding and thriving. It is a place to community with a new playground, water park splash pads, small walking path/exercise track, and a beautiful Alice in Wonderland inspired Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Stop at Betsy's for a coffee or tea, salad, tacos or a sweet treat. Small dining room in the gazebo style house, but lots of picnic tables are available to sit under the live oak canopy when the weather is nice. Check the calendar for events. Bubble and Board Games. Coffee and Cars. Zumba. Tai Chi. Art in the Park. Love the Sunday Open Air and Holiday Markets. Come to the outdoor living rooms. Enjoy some shade in the Trevilion. Park trellis, park pavilion, it is a great space to relax on a sunny Sunday (or any day) afternoon. Love the Solar Pavilion. Collecting solar power as well as water, the cisterns collect water to be used in the irrigation system. Eco friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Great place to explore on a sunny day in Bellaire.

A nice small community park in the area! It seems like they renovated the park recently and they have many attractions in this park to entertain not only kids but also adults as well! :) There are wonderland figures here so you can have nice picnic pictures together! Water park is also there so it's great for sunny and hot day! Bring your kids, family and friends and have a fun time! :) Cheers

This has become a new hot spot to walk around so my gfriend can get her 10000 steps a day . Since it is close to a fellow Yelper we usually walk from her home . Why walk here : Parking is free They have a cool small cafe with indoor and outdoor sitting to get food and wine They are dog friendly and have water bowels for your furr babies At night it has some great sunset views and might even catch a drink by the MADD Hatter Bronze statues where kids like to climb and play.

Our family love this park! Sad that it's so underrated on Yelp. They have a nice cafe on site with plenty of seating. There's a lovely Mad Hatter sculpture tucked away in the corner which is great for photos! I bring my kids' balance bikes & they go round & round the little paved loop for ages! There isn't much equipment (two slides & that's it), but it's more of a nature area, so equipment isn't the point. Parking is available in the church lot across the street or park on the street in one of the nearby neighborhoods. The 2 parking lots that they have on site are tiny, but you might get lucky! This place is great for an outdoor lunch with the family & a little wander through the park afterwards.

Great place to walk around in Bellaire with a cute small cafe that serves pizza, wine and teas.Don't be surprised if you see kids running around on their razors skateboards or adults playing spikeball ( a trampoline game that has become pretty popular during the pandemic). They will be expanding this park to include a water area for hopefully the summer .Right now it is a cool area to walk around , get a cool drink or glass of wine and enjoy the outdoors while socially distancing.

It's a great little park. They have a cafe on site and seem to have events fairly often. They are also open at night and it's well lit. Sidewalks through the park, slides built into the hill itself. They have markers for the plants explaining what they are. There's lots of open green space. There are not a ton of "toys" or equipment for kids to play on though. And there aren't any mature trees yet, so in the middle of summer you can't stay long. But would be good for morning walks or evening relaxing cup of java and very event friendly.

Very good park that's close by. It's a good place to go fly a drone or a kite. Just don't do both at the same time of course!

Love this local park in Bellaire…read more From the Nature Discovery Center to the Texas Birdwatching Trail, there are so many interesting finds along the woodsy walk. The Nature Discovery Center was a favorite when my kids were small. Loved the bunnies, the Wiggles and Squirms classes and summer camps. From being summer campers to junior counselors, they really learned a lot about science and nature. They even hosted a booth about eating healthy for their Girl Scout Silver Award during Pumpkin Patch one sunny October weekend. Love birding? Check out the list of bird sightings. Saw a juvenile yellow crowned night heron recently. In some cultures, this is a symbol of good luck and prosperity. Check out the turtles swimming in the small pond along the boardwalk. The park is free to visit. Parking is available both off Evergreen and Newcastle. Enjoy a walk in the woods in Bellaire.

Their hours during the school year (late August - late May) are Tuesday through Thursday, 10am-noon and 4pm-6pm. The surrounding park is open 7 days a week, 5am-930pm. The park is small but lovely. There are lots of little trails that help isolate you from the road/other visitors. I was impressed at how many benches & picnic tables there were throughout the park. Lots of places to stop and rest. A charming fountain. A few signs to let you know about local flora/fauna. A playground for kids. Even if you visit when the nature center is closed, they do have some outdoor cages with animals. There was a bunny cage although I think he was hiding. Also saw a possum -- Blossom was a cutie. There was also a turtle cage but they weren't there (gone for hibernation, apparently). There was also a large cage with doves. So there are some animals to see whenever you visit. Another major plus -- they have outdoor bathrooms! They are separate from the nature center. I always have to pee so this is a big draw for me. There are two parking lots -- one at the north area (by the nature center) and the other at the south area (by the playground). The parking lots are small but if you come early, it shouldn't be an issue. I'm not sure what the street parking situation is in the area.
