I honestly love the vibe of NRG whenever I've been for concerts or sports game, and this time was no different. Knowing the venue supports about 70k people and the entire venue was almost full is electrifying!! I will say, not a fan of the parking situation and the fact they were charging $125 or so for parking for the World Cup. Had to go to the metro station, park there for less, and take the metro to NRG. Also, wasn't a fan of the actual set up in that all the gates to enter are at different corners of the stadium so while gate B was front and center, the one we had to enter through - gate C - was all the way around the corner, so we (as did many other people) got caught in the rainstorm heading in. But, the people scanning you in are so amazing and efficient!

My wife and I loved our experience at NRG Stadium. We went for World Cup over the weekend to watch Germany vs Curacao. Everything was amazing! The energy in the building was contagious. The game was top notch. The stadium is fantastic. The food was fantastic. Just an unbelievable experience from beginning to end!

49ers VS Texans! Bang Bang Niner gang!!!! I'm faithful to the Bay! NRG is a pretty nice stadium that is very big and spacious. I should have been reviewed NRG but here we go! My 49ers lost this game but it's all good, we had a lot of injuries and Texans were desperate for a win, but they do have a good defense! Overall, the stadium had some decent food to choose from and the seats I had were nice as well. You can get a good glimpse of the field no matter where you sit.

I mean it's well run event center. The rodeo is amazing. Everything runs like a well oiled machine. Super fun

Came for the rodeo recently, but I've attended plenty of concerts and events at the NRG stadium! Very kind staff, ease of stadium navigation and the food options are great!

NRG Stadium provides a great experience when it comes to football games. The place is well kept and clean when you first enter. There is plenty of food options and the number of areas to purchase food or drinks is enough that you may only wait in line maybe 5 minutes till it is your turn. The only gripe I had was exiting the stadium as it took much longer especially for those using the escalator because hte ramps were packed solid and moving very slowly.

We really enjoy this stadium, plenty of concessions, seats are great. Loud as fuck in here. Parking was half a mile away, but not a bad walk. Plenty of things to see and definitely eat and drink. Restrooms super clean. Fun atmosphere, grandson loved it.

My friend group attended the Rodeo on a Friday. The security check was operated at the best capacity this year, which made entering the carnival easily accessible! When we got in, everyone went their way to get food! That's really what we went for, THE FOOD! We danced, we laughed and we danced again! The rides were lit and the people had on their outfits!! If you have never attended Houston Rodeo, you should experience it at least once! Cowboys and cowgirls doing country activities, the concerts, the rides. Don't miss out!

Second visit at NRG, and a second memorable experience! My first visit was for Taylor Swift, and this one was for the rodeo. We were dropped off by an uber at the drop off spot and then transported via tram to the entrance of the rodeo. I'm from St. Louis, the closest rodeo we have in Missouri is in the bootheel (Sikeston). Sikeston was minuscule compared to this. It was so awesome and an incredible experience. We grabbed food and drinks first (pizza on a stick- 11/10) and hung out in the designated wine garden area. We then went to our all inclusive seating area for Parker McCullom and holy smokes it was amazing! The food was well stocked, staff was so kind and friendly, and the rotating stage was awesome. We were lucky enough to snag VIP parking and got out of the lot quickly. It was well organized. I had a great experience!

I experienced a concert at NRG Stadium for the first time (Beyoncé) and have some mixed feelings. If you go with a group, I actually do recommend parking in one of their lots. I parked in the green lot and for 3 people, it was $18 each. It made walking to the stadium and leaving very quick. Of course, there was a lot of traffic leaving the stadium, but at least you're in the comfort of your own vehicle. I made the mistake of taking the light rail one night after the first concert and it took over an hour just to get on a train because of the crowds. It was so hot and crowded on the train platforms, so I highly suggest parking your own car at the stadium. The food at the stadium is alright and a bit expensive as you can expect. The chicken tenders are dry and not very flavorful but there are a lot of sauce stations to help out with that. My biggest gripe though was the merch lines. They were super unorganized especially as you get closer to the cashiers. It's like a giant cluster of people in front of the table. I think they need someone to help manage the lines so that the workers can help everyone out without feeling overwhelmed. A big tip I have is to take the stairs after the concert instead of the ramp, it saves a lot of time as the ramp will take you at least 20+ minutes to get down because of the crowds. Other than that, it was pretty easy to find my seat and my view wasn't bad even from the 500s section.

Everything is bigger in Texas! And that's why NRG is BIG! We end up going every few years when another grandkid graduates from high school. This year was one of those years. Often they do several schools on a Saturday or Sunday so the place is always so crowded with people arriving as a school is leaving. This year our granddaughter's school was the only one on a Friday night so it wasn't too bad at all. We did have to make the trip from home through the city at rush hour so that took a long time but finally got into the parking lot. Luckily my wife has a handicap placard so we got up front spaces with a shorter walk. Once inside we got seated and within an hour the event started. Granddaughter was in the C's so we had a long wait after to leave but in the end it was all worth it to see her walk across the stage and get her diploma. We always take some pictures out in the parking lot, this year was no different. Overall this is a nice stadium, very up to date and modern, clean restrooms and staff is nice. About the only thing I find a bit concerning is the cost of parking but that is not controlled by NRG but by the Harris County Sports Authority.

This place is huge! I have been coming here for years for the rodeo or just for concerts. There is so much space and so much to look at. Now if you do not take the escalator, be prepared to WALK, so bring comfy shoes and be in shape lol or else you will feel it.

Came for tailgating so can't speak for the inside, but have been here many times for events. No complaints other than expensive. They do have a good set up and staff for tailgating so I appreciate that. They are monitoring to ensure nothing gets crazy, they do a good job. Nice as well! One complimented my sports gear.

In terms of food and drink, I was really impressed with the number of options. They have two full service food counters on either side of the arena. If you want something a little more substantial Antones Poboys and Chick-fil-a were both set up for grab and go. They also had lots of alcoholic beverage options from tall boy beers, liquor for cocktails and even a spiked fresh lemonade stand. I tend to forget about this venue as it is sandwiched between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. NRG Arena is definitely old school (it was built in 1974). It actually reminds me of Burger Center in Austin which was also built in the 70s (IYKYK). The capacity is 8K, but it seemed smaller to me. Because it's an older venue, it doesn't have features such as illuminated stairs (like Toyota Center). People were using their cell phone flash lights to go up and down the stairs in the dark. The concourse area is a bit on the small side. The bathrooms weren't great but they weren't a complete disaster. On my last visit, I attended the World AIDS Day concert with Janet Jackson (she was amazing!). The staff was helpful with finding our seats as well as the merch table. We had a row of just 3 chairs which meant we had the entire row to ourselves (my best friend is brilliant lol). The sound quality was better than I was expecting, though at one point the volume of Janet's vocals seemed off. I didn't buy any food or drinks, but I imagine it's overpriced like any other venue. Tip: Check their socials for info on parking, bag policy, etc. Parking for the show was $20 (though it varies by event) and they do take cash and credit. The parking lot is right next to the arena so you don't have to walk terribly far. NRG Arena is okay. It's definitely not my favorite venue in the city, but it's good enough.

At the time of writing…read morethis review, they rank among the bottom five in terms of both regular season and postseason win percentage. However, the Texans are also the NFL's newest team. They joined the league in 2002. Most of the NFL's teams were established in the 1970s or earlier, though there was a small group that joined in the 90s: the Baltimore Ravens (1996), Jacksonville Jaguars (1995), and Carolina Panthers (1995). If you look at the league's four newest teams - Texans, Ravens, Jaguars, Panthers - only the Ravens have won a Super Bowl. Baltimore has won two, in fact: XXXV in 2001 (2000 season) and XLVII in 2013 (2012 season). The Panthers made it to two Super Bowls, but didn't win either of them: XXXVIII in 2004 (2003 season) and 50 in 2016 (2015 season). Both the Texans and Jaguars have zero Super Bowl appearances. They're two of only four teams to have never reached a Super Bowl. On average, the Texans have performed better than than the Jaguars with more division championships (AFC South) and playoff appearances. The Texans had decent success from the 2011 through 2019 seasons with six playoff appearances in nine seasons (67% appearance rate). This approximately decade-long stretch was primarily led by head coaches Gary Kubiak and Bill O'Brien. Kubiak would go on to win the aforementioned Super Bowl 50 as head coach of the Denver Broncos. I'm a fan of O'Brien because he was the offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech when I was a student at Georgia Tech. O'Brien worked at Georgia Tech from 1995 to 2002. Those were some great years for our football team. O'Brien is currently the OC and quarterbacks coach for Nick Saban at Alabama. JJ Watt, one of the greatest defensive linemen of all time, was drafted by the Texans with the 11th pick in the 2011 draft. Watt played for the Texans through the 2020 season -- 10 years a Texan. He racked up three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards (2012, 2014, 2015) while in Houston. Watt's three DPOY awards tie him with two other defensive greats, Aaron Donald and Lawrence Taylor, for most DPOY awards won. Watt left the Texans last year (2021) and now plays for the Arizona Cardinals. He was no doubt a big loss for the franchise and the Greater Houston community. Since Bill O'Brien, the Texans have had a fast-moving coaching carousel with four different head coaches in just the last three seasons: O'Brien and Romeo Crennel in 2020, David Culley in 2021, and now Lovie Smith in 2022.

I have been to rodeos prior in Fort Worth, but definitely on a much smaller scale. Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, albeit with some pre-planning as it was a bit difficult to navigate. When we initially arrived via Uber, we were dropped off at the rideshare drop off/pick up area, and it was a little walk to the stadium, where we were able to pretty quickly and seamlessly go through security and make our way into the grounds. Once inside, we did have some trouble navigating where/what we were going to since we are new to the event, but we were able to find our way to the livestock show after some trial and error. Once in the stadium, we immediately decided to grab some drinks before we found our seats. Unfortunately our experience was not the best, and when we ordered drinks we felt disregarded and the staff member helping us was rude and short with us. After we received our drinks, we were making our way to our seats and the $14 Mr Pibbs were completely flat, but we were anxious to go back after our experience with the staff. However, the staff who directed us to our seats were amazing! Not only were they super helpful, but after the concert they took photos for me and my best friend which was so kind and I will cherish forever, since we live states away from each other and rarely get photos together. The livestock show and rodeo was so fun and interactive, and we had the best time watching all of the events and hearing the commentary. The concert was also awesome, and the setup was perfect for all angles to enjoy seeing the act. We saw the Red Clay Strays and it was such an amazing experience. Afterwards, we made our way to the carnival just for some after concert snacks and to see the ambiance, and it was great! We grabbed some esquites and there was plentiful seating to people watch and enjoy the carnival energy. Afterwards however, we weren't able to order our Uber to the same drop off zone for some reason, so we were hesitant but had to order to a sushi restaurant a short walk nearby. It was definitely scary walking as two girls over there, and we did our best to stick around other rodeo-goers, but the shady taxi drivers and men carrying phones flashing their driver options were very insistent and invasive of us, heckling us with constant questions after we politely declined. One driver even circled us blasting music, and it was nerve-wracking since we aren't from Houston and are young women. I would hope that in the future these "drivers" can be deterred from the area or the rideshare zone can be better advertised or organized to prevent instances like these. Otherwise, we did make it out safely and in the future will be better prepared to get in and out of the rodeo!
