They host an array of events and activities (some are free, while others are ticketed). Events and activities include live music, DJs, yoga, Zumba, and seasonal events like Winter Wonderlawn during Christmas and Lunar New Year. There are seven gardens which take up about an acre. There's signs throughout the lawn that explain the different gardens and various spaces. Sky Farm is operated by Blackwood Educational Land Institute and they focus on regenerative agriculture and cultivation of food. The Outpost can be rented for events. Yelp Houston has hosted some events at the Outpost in the past. During the summer, it gets very hot! They have quite a few covered/shaded areas and there's vendors throughout if you need water or a beverage. There's lots of seating too (both covered and uncovered). A visit to Post Houston isn't complete without making the trek up to Skylawn! The views alone are worth it!

As an art head and aesthetic enthusiast I've always wanted a Claes Oldenburg installation or architectural wonder open to the public in my city. Around 2012 my wish was granted! Located on the Rice campus, this spot has provided many a memory. Highlighting art, space and nature, this beautifully constructed, sparsely attended, and (imo) under appreciated spot is truly a standout in the community. I understand how this spot may feel ordinary to some, but between this, Rothko chapel, and Menil, all my aesthetic dreams are answered. Pro tip: This installation requires parking at the Rice Campus, and a short walk so be prepared! If you're visiting someone at Rice, St.Thomas TIRR, or the nearby hospital, it's def worth the stop in.

These works of immersive art are meant to have the viewer experience the sky and the surroundings. Twilight Epiphany Skyscape is located on a pyramid mound of earth. It is interesting to see the light sequence projected on the concrete "roof." The 40 minute light sequence starts 40 minutes before sunrise and 10 minutes before sunset. Climb the stairs to the second level seats or sit inside the pyramid. Or view the show from outside the pyramid. I think that is the better view. Medical Center

Beautiful hotel. I…read morerecently stayed here for 3 nights while attending a plant convention in Houston. They are located in the medical district and less than two miles from the NRG stadium/arena.  I truly enjoyed many aspects of the stay. The lobby and our one-bedroom corner suite were beautifully decorated and clean. I also found the front desk staff very welcoming. The amenities, including the Peloton gym, spa, laundry room, and the second-floor restaurant, were all excellent. I also enjoyed the rooftop pool and bar area. Areas for improvement: Although we were initially told the shuttle service covers a three-mile radius, including the NRG Arena, the drivers were hesitant to take us anywhere other than the hospital. We were eventually accommodated, but only after clarifying the policy we were given at check-in. On the second day when we called for pick-up no one answered the phone. After several attempts, we ended up getting an Uber.  Additionally, the hotel appeared significantly short-staffed in the food and beverage department. The rooftop bar opened late almost every day and remained closed on my final night because no bartender was available. Similarly, the lobby snack bar was closed on my last night and opened late the following morning. This left the restaurant, which charged an automatic gratuity on all orders as the only option.   Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciate the hotel's convenient location. I would certainly consider staying with you again and hope these staffing and service consistency issues can be addressed.

I am shocked and surprised at the notion that the Blossom Hotel in Houston is run by Hilton. Crazy!! I still have faith in Hilton because of my many previous experiences! I could not find the "Provide Stay Feedback" on the Hilton app that I use regularly so I'm going mainstream to Yelp. So I must post .. Blossom Hotel Houston Review Pool - [ ] No afternoon food or drink service at pool at 4 p.m. - Check-in time! - [ ] No pool towels. - [ ] Could not find hot tub. Lobby / Restaurant / Room Service - [ ] The water dispenser in the lobby was empty when we arrived. - [ ] No lobby amenities - bar, snacks, etc. - [ ] 2nd Floor Restaurant closed at 4 p.m. when we arrived - no service until 5 p.m. - we were hoping for a late lunch! - [ ] Room service - Eggs and coffee were lukewarm and no salt/pepper, sugar. - [ ] Surprised at the cost of a to-go coffee in the lobby - think a large coffee was $10 - at the room rate price, I would hope Hilton would at least provide morning coffee! - [ ] Room / Housekeeping - [ ] No soap in shower, only shampoo and conditioner dispensers; asked for soap twice (even at front desk). Never arrived during our 3-night stay. - [ ] Water in shower very slow to heat in the mornings - did not heat up beyond lukewarm on the last day of our stay. Coffee machine not stocked and no cream or sugar packets. - [ ] We could not find a breakfast menu in the room. - [ ] Clock didn't work / started working on the last day but not set to the right time.
