    Chicken Wings go dummyy!!

So delicious!! I went for lunch and then the next morning came back for brunch. Breakfast is top tier and the chicken wings and burgers are fire. Owner Sukhy is one of a kind, very bubbly, and everyone loves her, they make you feel right at home here! Everyone is friendly from customers to staff. True mom and pop spot ! The vibes here are the best.

Wow, really impressed and surprised... we were waiting to do our tax return but wanted to grab a bite to eat first. The outside of this establishment doesn't look like much but when you step inside- the good ole vibe comes alive! The cute expansive outdoor eating area is so charming with bar decor! Hubby and I had the blue cheese burger and a hot pastrami sandwich- fries and onion rings to go along with this. Onion rings were crunchy, huge, and oh so tasty with a dusting of Parmesan cheese and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Fries were crunchy and delish. I enjoyed the pastrami sandwich very much and my husbands blue cheese burger was also delish. Big juicy and tasty! Would definitely return off in the Fair Oaks area again!! Oh also have small games to play- dart board inside.

    menu description

Parking lot empty on a Sat around noon. Service was slow with only 2 tables to serve. Food was mediocre to terrible. Chicken fried steak breakfast was mediocre. I agree w Brian's review of the french dip meat. Check out the pic of the "thinly sliced" french dip which was a big disappointment (being polite). It came w barely warm fries. After trying to eat the sandwich, I asked the server how the meat was fixed. She replied "sliced" beef. After I showed her, she talked to the "cook" & they said it's sliced, then chopped. I'd call it cube steak - Ridiculous! To the server's credit, they offered to talk to the manager to see if we wouldn't be charged. I declined & regretted that decision. I couldn't wait to get out of there. We hadn't been to Dad's in many years & was hoping to make it a regular spot as we eat out frequently.

Ordered the Dad's burger, like always! So good, like always! Had a soup I have never had before and it was good. The bar tender was great as he was running around helping a big group in the party room. It's so cozy here and the place feels welcoming.

We were looking for a place to have a fun dinner date and Dad's recently opened down the street from us. My fiancée had been to the old location in downtown Sac and insisted that we try out the new location since she liked the old one. We had also heard reviews about how it was just as good if not better than the old location. We got there on an early weekday afternoon so it wasn't too busy yet, but there was still a few groups of people. We walked into some great music and the SF giants on tv. The beer selection was pretty good, with a good bit of local breweries. We started our meal off with the southwest eggrolls and pretzel with beer cheese and this may have been my favorite thing on the menu, but I love snacks and appetizers. It was everything you'd imagine a perfect pretzel would be, plus the beer cheese was fantastic too and the eggrolls were great! As for our main course, she got the Caesar Chicken Wrap, and I got the pastrami sandwich (subbed for onion rings). Both were very considerable portions, especially after the large apps we both shared. I unfortunately forgot to snag more pics of the rest of the meal by my pastrami sandwich was fantastic! I would definitely recommend checking out Dad's if you're in the area

We had an outstanding experience at Dad's Kitchen. Nowadays, the way to go is to stick with the burgers or sandwiches. They also have the skinnier fries, not the steak fries. Much improved there. My sister and I both got the drunken chicken sandwich. It was really good. I'll say it could use some more flavoring/sauce. The bun was a little bit bland as well. But I would still order it again maybe ask for a different bun. It was still well done! My sister opted to upgrade to a side salad. It was a good size salad and she loved it. They used good quality ingredients as well, not just iceberg lettuce. My brother-in-law got the max burger. It was a double patty. I forget the name, but he really enjoyed it. My Mom got the chicken Caesar wrap. I will definitely get that next time. It looked delicious and she really enjoyed it as well. They have some nice beers on tap although they do run out often. And a few semi decent wine selections.

So delicious. Dad's Burger with onion rings.

Food was delicious again! I had the Cowboy Burger, friends had Dad's Burger, New and Improved French Dip, and the Blonde Sandwich. We all love our food and the great fries. It is very noisy but our waitress has a loud enough voice we could hear her over all the noise.

This is now our Dad's since we don't have the Land Park location anymore. RIP thnks fr th mmrs. This one is farther away from where I live but still very worth the trip. One of my favorite places to watch sportsball while I have some breakfast. As one does. Food at Dad's has always been solid. Whatever you order, it'll be great! I do wish they had more meatless options. But I get by. Vegans would have a harder time. My favorite breakfast items are the chilaquiles and the vegetarian-ized eggs benny. They have two options there and one has savory tangy chipotle hollandaise, which I highly recommend trying! And it's always nice to wash down your hearty meal with a mimosa. They have several fruit juices to choose from too if OJ isn't your thing. Bottomless? Yes that's an option. Dad's also makes a legit Bloody Mary, one of the best in town in fact. We don't have to worry about finding a seat because this place is pretty spacious, even the bar area aka the best seat in the house. I appreciate the rotating tap list and how there's always a dark beer for me. Everyone who works here is amazing and I love them. I'm happy to still have a Dad's to hang out at. PS Fair Oaks Dad's has a full bar !

Stopped in for dinner while running errands in the area. Why haven't we come here before? Dad's has been around for a while and seems to be a huge favorite based on the crowd that was there while we were at dinner. The vibe is quaint and cozy, and the food is spectacular. My wife had the double smash burger, and I had the green machine, with blue cheese habanero fries, and a salad. Have to tell you, my wife almost had to fight me off to keep her burger to herself. That thing was simply fantastic. My green machine was a veggie sandwich and it was extremely tasty. Lots of veggies with cream cheese and pepper plant oil, which gives it a nice zing. But honestly, the star of the show was that burger. Fantastic beef flavor clearly made right before bringing it to our table, and the right mixture of juicy-cheesy-beefy and a little tomato and lettuce. We also had a giant pretzel with beer cheese, and it stacks up really well against a lot of other places that have it. So: ambience - great, food - amazing, wait staff - very friendly. The only thing that kept it from being a full five stars was a little chaotic seating/ordering/attentive wait staff. The wait staff was perfectly pleasant, it just seemed like the busy night was a little too much for them. Just go on a slower night or outside of dinner hours, and you'll be in heaven. Promise!

I started going to Dads Kitchen in Land Park over 10 years ago. It was one of my husband and I's favorite date night spots! I'm glad to see the quality of food has carried over to this location - one of the best burgers you'll find in California! The staff was very friendly and welcoming as always. Dad's is just the place to be. If you want to feel like a local visit Dad's - good for the stomach and soul.

There was plenty of room for us to sit at a large table with our babies in high chairs & strollers nearby. Inside the cafe is decorated very nicely. The staff were so kind and welcoming too. I ordered a mocha and the sweet cheese crepes. My mocha was the perfect balance of sweetness and chocolatey! I savored every sip. The real star of the show though, were the crepes. They were perfectly soft but with a slight crisp on the outside just like I like them. The filling was sweet but not overly and was well balanced with the slight bitterness from the berry topping on the crepes. There is also a side area to eat, however there were a number of flies buzzing around, which made it unappetizing (this was kept my review from being a full five stars). The indoor area is a mix of dark woods and faux plants, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, there was only one plant-based (vegan friendly) option for me: the cilantro lime avocado toast. This came topped with micro greens and pickled onions, and with a side of potatoes. The portions were very generous for the price and the food was delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the staff were kind. I also ordered an Americano that was good. This spot is like a little hidden green jewel in Citrus Heights. I hope more businesses fill out this complex so they can continue to do well.

I came during a busy hour which wasn't idea but didn't affect anything in regard to the taste of what I got! Typically I like to find a spot that's quietly busy so if you're wanting to do the same I would try to come when it's less busy as I found myself slightly overstimulated by the business and seeing all the seats filled up which otherwise is a good sign! The Banana Dream Match caught my eye so I ordered it immediately along with an Avocado toast + egg ( extra cost). They give you a buzzer for the food and you have to find a corner to wait in that's out of the way and pick your food up by the kitchen. The vibe was very open and I liked the different seating options as well as the abundance of outlets. I ended up eating outside to get away from the busyness and the I was in the middle of talking when the taste of the Banana hit me. The best. Banana matcha I've ever had. Which I didn't expect because I've tried so many but what I loved most is that the banana flavor was sweet but tasted like real banana and the matcha flavor was still present. The banana flavor wasn't just at the top either it was top to bottom so every sip tasted the same making it soooo good!! The Avocado toast was good as well a little on the tangy side but I loved the egg. Great spot when it's less busy which would make parking easier as well but glad I stopped in to find my new favorite matcha spot.

The service was fantastic from start to finish. We had the chance to chat with Julian himself along with a couple other staff members, and everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The stars of the meal were definitely the breakfast wrap and the bacon, egg & cheese croissant. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and genuine hospitality made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be dreaming about that croissant until then.
