Updated to the responsed : Thanks for responding. When I order "less sweet," I expect the tea to taste stronger since it should have less syrup and more tea. But my drink was very bland -- it tasted just like water with a bit of lychee syrup. I've tried jasmine tea from many other stores with adjusted sugar levels, and I could still smell and taste the tea. Unfortunately, this drink didn't have any tea flavor at all. Coffee was good but tea is disappointing; there's no real tea flavor or fragrance. It feels more like diluted water with a hint of lychee flavor, rather than an actual lychee tea. read more

The drive-thru setup here is really frustrating and stupid. There are two driveways: one for the drive-thru line and another for regular traffic. The problem is that non-customers often use the regular driveway just to cut through, but because the drive-thru line blocks it, they will end up honking at the people waiting to order. I came today just to grab a quick drink, and the guy behind me was constantly honking because he wanted to get through to the street. I tried moving up to let him pass, but that made it look like I was cutting in line and I ended up getting yelled at by another customer for the problem that is clearly not my fault? It was confusing, stressful, and honestly ruined the experience. Da Vien really needs to rethink this layout or at least add clearer signs to prevent these kinds of traffic issues. read more

I like my coffee strong which is why I lean towards Viet coffee. I've tried quite a bit of coffee shops and this is still my go-to for a coffee with salted cream. The value is pretty on par with other places and love that this is their first location with a drive thru for convenience. read more

Good coffee, Bad customer service The coffee is good but we had a poor experience with the person working the drive thru window. They made a mistake on our order and instead of being kind about it they doubled down and tried to blame us. Quote: " Did you not hear me when I repeated your order?" This is probably my last time going to this location. Quality is just not there, specifically through the drive thru. Got nothing but watered down milk drinks with little to no coffee taste. The Ube latte hardly tasted of ube and was definitely a latte because there was no coffee. Aesthetically speaking at least it still kind of looked like an ube latte. The marble drip was just a milk, water and ice. Watered down to the max and aesthetically speaking did not have any marbling at all. Picture for reference with beach blvd in the background so you can't say the car movement messed up the marbling or I stirred it within the minute it took to pull away from the drive-thru. This is the second time I get watered down drinks at the drive thru not sure if it's the same inside. Almost as if they have the drinks pre-made and just slap an order sticker once the order comes in. I'll try out their Garden Grove location from now on unless the quality there is just as bad. read more

Once the, what looked like some banana custard or pudding of some sort fully mixed in with the matcha it was delicious. I really enjoyed it! I love this new location. It's super close to the freeway which is a huge plus. Yes...there is a drive thru but I think it's faster to just order inside. Definitely get the banana matcha latte!! Just left Da VIEN drive thru location in Stanton... as you can see from my photo my brown sugar fresh milk is more like a milky snow cone. The amount of ice in this drink is wild and unacceptable. I understand I could have mentioned "light" ice but this is overdoing it. Please do better. read more

Still my go-to for coffee shop for an ube coffee! Nice there's a drive-thru location now, but as I stopped by on a late Tuesday morning, found there was no wait inside instead so opted for that. Sadly phone did not drink first, but love the interior as well and plenty of spots for remote working. Coffee was delicious as always. Parking's a little tight, so just be careful going in/out with the drive-thru lane. read more

Love that they have a drive thru for this location! Also large parking lot makes it easily accessible with a chill hip interior, good for studying. This location has a very nice ambience, very clean and lots of seating area available. I noticed that you can order in person or by using their kiosk, don't forget to download their app so you can accumulate points. I ordered the Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk and Egg Foam Coffee. I thought their Iced Matcha was 7/10, just because I personally prefer a stronger matcha. The Egg Foam Coffee was 10/10, it had a really good balance of strong coffee and sweetness from the egg foam. Would definitely order again. There's lots of parking around the area since it's within a plaza, there is also a drive-through entrance when you enter into this location with very few parking spots. read more

This coffee place makes delicious Vietnamese coffee that taste great! The coffee is flavorful and tasty plus the flavor is better than a few other coffee shops i've been to which makes this place a top coffee place. The drinks are also of quality and the price of the drinks are affordable at $6-$7. The service was great as they were pleasant and kind not rushing me at all. I've notice when I order drinks from the staton location va the graden grove are slightly served differently. The banana cream is very nothing compared how it served at the graden grove location. I've been a fan of Da Vien for a hot minute now. Unfortunately, this is the first time that I have to write a negative review for this location. Came in today to order a quick pick me up. I walked to the self-ordering kiosk to order my drink. Paid and waited. Little over 3-5 mins in, a rush of customers came in and did the same. I patiently waited over 10 minutes for 1 drink (ube matcha latte), and I began to get curious as to what was taking so long. I understand that there's a drive-thru as well so that could be a factor. However, what did it was the fact that the baristas were putting out orders for 6-8 people that ordered AFTER me, and when I asked where my drink was, they looked lost. It's baffling considering every single one of those customers that ordered after me, USED the kiosk and got their drinks first. Drink ordering traffic on the inside was slow to none until there was a rush of a few people who came in after me. How do you just forget about 1 drink during a slow service but manage to serve the rest? Anyhoo, after inquiring, the barista guy went back and forth between the kitchen and the terminal to look for my order, and then looked at me as if I was lying or something. Once they dug up my order, he had one other person make it, and lo and behold, it took only 2 minutes! WOW! Highly recommend management to retrain their team on priority and organization. The reason I say this is because I've been to many other shops with even higher service tempo, such as HeyTea or OMOMO, or Molly Tea, and they manage to deliver without skipping a beat every time. I love coming here for the drinks, and occasionally get some work done here. Like, hey, take my money, I love your drinks, but for the love of St. Barbara, please train your staff on effective communications and service. I don't mind waiting if you're busy or behind, but sitting there while multiple people who came in after you get their orders first is just outright frustrating. Let's not lower the standards. read more

The banana matcha latte has my heart here. The banana cream is like a thick banana pudding and when mixed with the matcha is heaven sent. I will never not want a banana matcha or any matcha from here. Da Vien has to be my favorite matcha place. The drive thru window here is very convenient and makes it even easier to order since the other two locations are walk ins. read more

I ordered the ube matcha. The ube tastes so artificial! It had this strange coconut taste to it. When I asked the cashier if they used coconut in it, she said no. So then why does jt taste like that? Then, the matcha was such cheap quality! It tasted like culinary grade. The drink was $7. I was so disappointed because I expected to have a good quality drink based on other's experiences.
