I don't live in Monroeville anymore but this place had the best ratings than the salons I used to go to when I did live in PA. The nail techs took their time with our manicures and did a great job. Always have low expectations when trying nail salons but all 3 staff members were kind and friendly. They were quick, clean, and efficient. The salon itself was very clean as well! Decided to try this nail salon as a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon. Check-in is done on a tablet located on the reception desk. The salon is clean and bright. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and lack of a long wait time. Van did my gel manicure and it was executed perfectly. Absolutely horrible experience. Worst gel manicure I have ever had. The employee working on me left me with six cuts on my cuticles and overall did a horrible job (which is surprising considering it took her an hour and a half). My nails were uneven, the polish was extremely sloppy, and to make matters worse, a separate employee who was charging my card looked at my nails, laughed and said "maybe your nails will be less short in the new year". First off my nails are not short, second the lady working on them cut/ filed them off without my consent, and third, I will never be back. read more

They have a lot of amazing gel colors to choose from, which is always a plus because you never want to run out of color options. David did an amazing job on my nails. He took his time on them to make sure they were perfect and met my standards. I've been looking for a new nail salon for a while, but was scared because I'm VERY particular about my nails. This experience met every expectation I had. I will definitely be retiring for future services. They are up on their technology which is a plus. You can book online if you prefer not to call for an appointment. When you arrive you check in electronically. Doing everything definitely cuts down on the confusion of writing everything down in a big calendar book like other places still do. Got the classic pedicure but she still did a quick scrub and massage for me, she was really nice. Definitely going back for my nails! I went here for a gel manicure. My nails started peeling a week after I got the service done. Gel manicures are supposed to last 2-3 weeks. The manicure that I had done at a different nail salon never peeled and if it did they offered to fix it for free. I called D&V to let them know that my nails are peeling after a week and asked if I can get two nails fixed. I was told once I arrived that I would be charged for the service. If I knew that before , I would've just went to a different nail salon. I wasted time , gas and money at this nail salon and I did not feel like an appreciated customer. The older lady did not greet me or say one word to me. I only had two nails to get fixed and the older lady stopped doing my nails in the middle of the service and walked away without saying a word. Then someone else finished my nails. The older lady seemed to have an attitude and gave off the impression that the service I was getting done was not important to her. I do not recommend. read more

I came into the salon to get a pedicure after I heard from a friend how amazing their pedicures are, I just had to find out for myself :) and let me say that it exceeded all expectations! FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF, so polite and I was a walk in! It was going to be a 20 minute wait or so, so I was just going to run home quickly for a bite to eat and then come back. I found D&V nails on Facebook and chose them because they had amazing reviews. I scheduled my appointment online and that was so easy! I immediately received a text message to confirm as well as a reminder text on the day of my appt. I went to D&V to fix a botched set of acrylics I had done at another salon. I was hoping they would be able to be corrected with just a fill, so that is what I scheduled. David made sure that the bad work was not performed at his salon, he was very concerned. As he was removing the old gel polish and prepping my nails for the fill, my old acrylics were cracking and breaking off. He told me he would have to do a brand new set because fixing these would likely cause a fungus or infection because of the moisture that could be trapped underneath the improperly applied nails. I appreciated that he was honest with me, and told me that instead of taking a shortcut and just putting acrylic on top of the bad nails. He did not give me any attitude about having to be in his chair longer than I was scheduled to be. He did a beautiful set of new acrylics with gel polish. The salon is nicely decorated, very clean, and doesn't have a strong "nail salon" smell. They have a huge selection of nail polish, gel polish, and dip powders. And the staff was all very friendly and accommodating. The pricing is also very competitive and fair. I will definitely come back in a couple weeks for my fill! They were able to fit her in even though they seemed pretty booked with appointments. My daughter showed them a photo of what she wanted and the end results looked just like the photo.
