I have yet to find a better place for a pedicure. Prices are lower than most places. The staff are friendly and make sure you feel welcomed!

My nails were purposely damaged. I had gel put on- first time ever- twice there. Since the owner knew I wasn't getting a 3rd time due to their unprofessionalism and poor quality of work, they intensely sanded my fingernails and toenails by using a sander only-no acetone- unlike the first time when acetone was mainly used and very little and light sanding. The dermatologist said I will need to entirely grow out my nails which are damaged by horrible appearance, brittle and cracked. Lisa the owner was extremely unprofessional and yelled to the point of scaring me. I've since been told by a former client some staff speak English but quickly switch to their language to make crude remarks about clients. read more

These are probably the worst set of nails I've received in my life. Right when I sat down, I told my nail tech that I wanted coffin shaped nails which he was fine with. While cutting my nails, he continued to cut them shorter & shorter despite me telling him they needed to be longer for the coffin shape. Once done shaping, they were tiny & square .. nothing that I asked for. I voiced my concerns with him & he said that there's nothing he can do now since he "cut them too short" & now he's "unable to get them coffin shaped". Overall, the nails are just messy, not what I asked for, & he did not even clean up my cuticles or skin around my nails. So disappointed I had to still pay for these terrible nails. read more

I normally go to Kim's Nails in route 30 (which I highly recommend) but it was closed. I needed to get an ingrown nail dug out so I chose the next closest place, Nails 1st by Karen. I normally only get pedicures but today I decided to get both a pedicure and manicure since I was going to a show over the weekend. I go back in the chair to get a pedicure and it smelled horrible. I'm guessing it's the water? It smelled like sewer. The pedicure was okay, but not the longest or best massage I had. Paint job was OK. On to the manicure, the massage was extremely short and she made me pay before she started painting my nails which I thought was strange. The paint job on my nails were HORRIBLE. She didn't even cover my whole nail and when she put the clear coat on, it was literally a dot in the middle of my nail. I'll never go here again and do not recommend this place at all. Edit: It's been 3-4 days and the toenail she cut out is oosing and infected. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

I dont know where to begin... I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and walked out with something else. Why? Oh well because the guy was arguing with me about it the entire time. "Oh no that wont look good" he kept telling me. Not once. Not twice. I lost count. He sent me to let them dry and when the owner came by to do my top coat, I told her my nails weren't even finished! I told her what I wanted but she did it in such a haste, you'd think my little sister did it. It's a real shame too because they did the shape and fill of the acrylics pretty nice, but now my nails look like trash because of the horrible paint job. I was in with my cousin and even hers (whom the owner worked on) were lumpy and THE PAINT WASNT EVEN ALL THE WAY TO HER CUTICLES. We then both realized OUR NAILS WERENT THE SAME LENGTH. Turns out it wasn't just me: the owner too wasn't listening when either of us said anything or pointed out an error. She just seemed frustrated, spoke with an attitude, and "fixed" it in a matter of seconds. At the end of the day, I had to come home and fix the paint on my nails myself. Never have I had to do that. If only he had listened to me I would've gotten what I wanted, and I know it would've looked cuter these six-year-old styled nails. UPDATE: only come here to get acrylics if you want all your nails to be different sizes. read more

Me and my sister went here on a whim. I'm very happy with how my nails turned out. The service was ok. They talked a lot in another language. My sister went in to just get a fill, however they ended up taking her nails off,cause they said she had to much color. So something that should have costed her 25 was 45. I went in there to get a specific design. It was a very simple design, my nail tech acted like she could apply simple glitter to my nails. Like I said I am happy with my nails, however it's very basic and any nail tech could do it. Will I return? Probably not as there are many nail places around the area. read more

My mom got a pedicure here last year and suggested we go this year for a mani/pedi. I was apprehensive after seeing the reviews here, but I took a leap of faith. I'm glad I did. The room is very clean, and we had our pedicures first. They have massage chairs that can be a little rough along with whirlpool tubs for your feet. There is a sort of language barrier, but the employees were very nice. One star deducted because my fingernails could've been filed a little better. They were kind of jagged, but evenly cut and beautifully painted. A French manicure + pedicure was $42 altogether, and my mom's regular manicure + pedicure was $37. read more

First, they told me a 10 minute wait and then kept saying 5 more minutes. So about after 40 mins I got seated, the staff was very rude and the seat was unbalanced and uncomfortable. I wanted my nails short with a thin French line. As the gentleman was doing my nails, I was praying he was going to pull out some magic at the end. It was right before vacation to the beach and I left very disappointed. My nails were longer, thick crooked white line, and there was chunky spot around the edges. I have gone there several times now for manicures and pedicures. Some of the technicians are nicer than others, but I feel that's pretty normal. You get greeted as soon as you walk in the door by Karen, the owner. It's always clean and doesn't smell like nail polish/acetone/acrylic chemicals, so that's a big plus. The pedicure chairs are massage chairs which are amazing and the foot tub is the whirlpool type which is great too. You actually get a foot/ankle/leg massage at the end which is a huge plus because a lot of places I've been to just rub lotion on and call it a day. Overall, they really take their time to make sure your cuticles are taken care of and that your nails are shaped nicely. The regular polish on my toes usually lasts several weeks and the gel polish on my hands lasts about 2 but that's because I start to pick at them. I've gotten the gel polish at other places and it didn't last more than a week. I highly recommend! read more

I have never been treated so rude ever in my life, like I was on Friday January 25th 2019 at NAILS 1st BY KAREN. I needed my gel polish removed and re applied for a weekend get away, I didn't have time to go to my regular nail tech so I thought I'd support my local white oak business. It's been maybe 8 years since I've been there and now I remember why. They had my nails wrapped with nail polish remover to lift the nail polish off for over 45 minutes, they couldn't get it off, so this man moved me to another station and took 2 walk In Full sets. So LISA stood up from her client, with such an attitude, pulled the wraps from my fingers with disgust as she stood in front of me scraping the color off my nails so hard that she literally ripped off the my enamel from my nail bed and broke 2 of my nails (I so wanted to get up and walk out but I was going away for the weekend) Then this other tech finished up smacking my hands to move down when my hands were up, at one point he yanked my hand, the telling me to keep my hands In the uv light (12 different times between both hands), I said no, I never had to but my nails under the UV light that many times, that's is not even SAFE subjecting someone to UV rays that many times in one session & no other tech has ever done that to me or any of their clients they care about. Then he said "you don't tell me how to do my job!" and then had the audacity to tell me not to use my phone? Then all 3 of them started speaking their language laughing. The young lady (total stranger) sitting next to me rolled her eyes and mouthed "omg, I cant believe how rude they are, and she also said I'm so sorry!" The way I was treated was not warranted one bit! This was 1 1/2 hours of biting my tongue and being treated absolutely awful. Oh and $23 dollars and 2 days later the gel is lifting on 4 nails and they filed them crooked and uneven. read more

Went there yesterday for gel. I took my five year old granddaughter with me. She was so excited to get her first manicure. A man did her and a man did me. The man that did the child was next to rude to her. He never opened his mouth! They spoke to us only when they had to, mostly talked to each other in a foreign language. My granddaughter wanted to pick out my color. They acted like she was going to destroy their samples! When I got home and really looked at my nails, I found the quality to be very poor. There was polish on my fingers. The bottle said it was Pompei purple, but my nails are clearly pink. This is my last time there! read more

Staff very nice, appointment easy to book, Salon very clean, and price very, very reasonable for Shellac Mani, and regular Pedi. Very pleased with the variety of polish colors available. Respected that when I asked for a French Manicure, they let me know it would be $5 more than a regular polish, instead of springing it on me at the check out! Talked thru my options, and very patient with my lonnnnng decision making process :-). Will use again. read more

I've gotten my nails done three times here now, each time by a woman named Kelly, and she's always super fast and my gel manicure always turns out perfect. They're super nice and it's really easy to get an appointment. And the gel manicure is really affordable. :) read more

Yikes. Someone gave me a gift certificate they had gotten for this place because the staff was so rude when she went in that she just walked back out without using it. I went and found them to be very rude as well. I won't be going back. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is that the older lady there (the owner? not sure) seemed okay. DO NOT go to the men in the salon. As soon as I walked out I knew I was never coming back. I have nails that bow up and nails that are too small of a size. Can not wear light polish cause you can see the lines of the tips. Two days later all of the nails have air bubbles. After the man did the nails I had to wait for a woman to polish them. read more
