First... very rude owner when arriving. She didn't explain things and kept trying to upset. Extra$5... extra$5.. There were 4 in our party and insisted we came at the wrong time. Which was not true. Why book 4 people a half hour before closing? Apparently they changed their hours but it was our fault it will take longer than 7pm to finish 4 people with mani and pedi?!? Dirty tools-took from"sterile" bag that was full of dead skin. She panicked and went to get another but there wasn't and she dropped it on the floor and then tried to clean off the skin with acetone and cotton ball before using. The sterile bags were not sealed so they were just putting them in there and reusing the bag for show. Rushed is through. Charged each$100 and my nails were jacked up (dip) after I looked at them when I got home. Smug, cut fingers, nails glued to skin etc. Not recommend!! It's hard to get decent pictures of the smudged. My daughter and I were here a week and a half ago. I got a basic mani and pedi (gel) just and my daughter got a pedi and a full set. My gel polish started lifting peeling (not chipping) a couple of days ago and now it's all off. The owner was extremely rude to my daughter and argued with what my daughter wanted and tried to shame her for the size of her nail beds. (Nothing she can do about it they are just small) So far 2 nails have broken and 1 is lifting. She's been getting her nails done for years without a problem. Jenny was the one who put the base nails on for me and they were terrible, extremely crooked and the nails didn't fit my actual nails. On top of this the nails were lumpy and they did not shape them. My friend ended up going back to get here fixed because she couldn't stand how crooked two nails were... They were complaining about her behind her back. I really enjoyed my experience here. I was able to walk in and be taken care of immediately. I had gel on my nails, which I had removed and then had a gel manicure. It was clean, it didn't stink like acrylics, and everyone was very friendly. I was impressed with the polish selection, and I actually ended up using a brand new color that they were swatching. I had the greatest time at this place yesterday! I will only be coming here for now on. I originally came for a fill on an acrylic set I had done somewhere else. Tiffany explained that they hadn't been done correctly by the first salon and ended up replacing the entire set. She did such a great job! The nails are a beautiful almond shape, and they aren't too clunky like acrylics I've had in the past. I enjoyed my experience so much that I ended up also getting my first pedicure of my life by Julie, who was very nice and did a great job transforming my feet! Richard did an excellent job on my nails. He paid close attention to detail and was friendly to my husband and I. The store has many technicians which is helpful when it comes to wait times. Even on a sunday there were 6+ workers. My only complaint---- I called ahead of time to ask how much a manicure would be including taking off acrylics. My manicure was quoted at $15 and an extra $5 to take off my acrylics. When I got there I mentioned the price. The technician next to Richard said something and Richard said "oh price went up this week. Your total will be $25, not $20." I truly don't believe prices went up. I think they were nickling and diming me. im not upset though because the service was good, but I do want to mention this in case you were calling around for prices like me... the price changed once I walked in the door. read more

Was just the spot I was looking for when I awoke Sunday morning desperately needing a pedicure after a week at the lake with my feet in the sand and rocks. A spur of the moment decision to find a local pedicure took me to Divine Nails & Spa. Most nail salons, I discovered, are closed on Sundays, so my impromptu decision required a little more research to find a place that was open, took walk-ins and, most importantly, had massage chairs, my only requirement of a pedicure--it's like two services in one, amiright?!! While I preferred a downtown location due to proximity, I widened my search to the McKnight Road area knowing there were plenty of nail salons to choose from along there. Based on the pictures other Yelp! users so kindly posted I was able to see that it had massage chairs and I figured if I got there right as it opened I would have no problem securing my pedicure for the morning. Upon arrival, I was greeted and directed to a chair. The nail technician took about 30 minutes to complete the service and directed me to a laminated menu of service levels for the pedicure. In this instance I really wanted a solid standard pedicure and also a leg massage so I selected option #2 which was just that. Many other options had good potential as well, each level # went up about ~$5-10 in cost. My toes look great and it was just what I expected it would be, costing $35. While I was not overly thrilled with some of the attention to detail (such as callus removal on the heel of my foot) I would give my experience 4-stars as there was nothing negative. Divine is not a large space, one store front, but had plenty of space for the customer flow--there were ~7 pedicure seats and ~10 manicure seats. This was my first time, however, most customers who came in seemed to have been regulars and were greeted by the staff in that way, which was nice to see. I think I will likely try a different place for my next pedicure as I want to find a place downtown that is closer to where I live, but I would certainly return to Divine in the future. read more

Made our appointments same day. They were honored and they knew who we were when we walked through the door. I didn't see an appointment book just a sticky note with on the desk with our name and time.. So I'm guessing they don't get many appointments yet. It was clean and bright. Parking sucks, but we were lucky to find a good spot. Pedicure was average at best. Their lotion was oily or something because it felt like they were massaging my legs with rubbing alcohol. Very weird. Girl who did my pedi was pushy & rude. Made rude comments about my eyebrows needing done (I'm a mom.. I'll do them when I have time...) and asked nonstop if we "liked the place" and if we would be back again. They asked every person that was in salon what the last salon they went to was.. It was kind of uncomfortable. I get they want to know about their "competition" but I'm trying to relax not talk crap about other businesses. She did a nice paint job, though. They started doing my moms nails with a portable grinder in the middle of her pedicure because they had too many customers and not enough employees and they wanted to take them all. My nail experience was horrible. My nail shape is bizarre and she cut me REALLY bad in 3 places. She didn't offer any solution to put on it or even to wash my hands and try to stop the bleeding. I've gone here three times now. Each time they have done a good job. They remember who you are when you go in. For people making comments about asking where they've gone before.... I've never gone to a new nail salon and they not ask me this question. They can tell when it's not their "work". Also, asking if you like the place and if you'd come back is because they're brand new trying to build a clientele. Anyway, I do pink and white fills and sometimes gel polish. I've not had an issue with anything they've done - cut/fill/polish have all been excellent. I haven't gotten a pedicure yet! Anyway - highly recommended as a nice, quiet, attentive salon. read more

He was nice and all but made my pinky bleed as he repeatedly tugged at a loose piece of skin he cut. Hurt like hell for two days. Kept twisting my arm and hand all around as he painted my nails and kept telling me to relax my arm. How can I relax my arm if you have it twisted???? Gel mani started to chip after 4 days. Yesterday was the first and last time that I spend my money at this location. I had a 3pm appt and got there early and they were very accommodating. That was the best part of my experience. As I sat in the pedicure chair, the utensils used were dirty, the foot rest portion of the chair was all chipped and needs repaired. There were fingernails on the floor (disgusting) and to make matters worse, there were 5 persons speaking in their native language, looking at the persons in the pedicure chairs and laughing the entire time that I was there. This is so rude and I think the person providing me with a pedicure knew I was somewhat irritated as she kept saying "I will stop talking" but never did. After I left, my toenails were trimmed unevenly and there was nail polish left on my skin. What a waste of money and time! Also it was kind of funny that only 4 licenses were hanging on the wall and there were 8 or 9 people giving manicures and pedicures. read more

Based on good reviews I decided to try this place out- I wasn't disappointed. I've been going here regularly for over a year now. It's also a bonus that all of the staff is very kind. My mom and I came here to get manicures, we called ahead and booked two spots for 2:30. When we showed up, they only had space for one of us.20 minutes later and most of the way through my manicure, my mom still hadn't been seated. They finally called her back as they were painting my nails. But she had had to go outside at that point because the chemical fumes were so intense that they were burning her face and making her eyes water. She decided to skip her manicure. The space was utilitarian, clean but not nice. There was zero air circulation, so the room just stank. The person who greeted us tried pretty aggressively to upsell me to a gel manicure, which I've had and don't like. I politely refused multiple times before she stopped. My manicurist didn't really seem to care what she was doing. I like an efficient technician, but she was just going through the motions. Didn't do a good job shaping my nails, and she cut back too much skin in a few places. Not sure why this place has such positive reviews.. it's fine for getting the job done but pretty bad otherwise. Due to a scheduling conflict, I had to cancel the manicure I had scheduled at my usual salon on Saturday. I went to Divine on Sunday, as it was the only salon in the area open and taking customers. They were very busy, so I signed in, selected my colors, and waited. Without consulting the list, they started taking people back. It wasn't a huge deal, but kind of annoying that people who arrived and signed in after me were called back before me. The girl who did my pedicure and gel manicure was nice, but not very good. She kept forgetting steps in the process (ex: she moved on to polishing before exfoliating my feet). The salon was noisy, which is fine, I was just hoping for a more relaxing experience. At $55 the price is moderate to high. I could've dealt with all of this, but a day later my manicure is chipping in several spots, on several fingers. I definitely won't return. read more

UPDATE: I took away 2 stars because I've gotten a few SNS dip powder nails done since his set, and it's not supposed to hurt. Now I know. Causing lasting pain isn't ok. Today I got a regular pedicure, acrylic tips and SNS nails done. My tech Richard was very nice, and was careful with tending to my tender and sensitive toes. He proclaimed several times that he wanted me to be happy with his work, so he would take his time with me. I warned him that I have thin, sensitive nails and not to file too much. While I couldn't tell at the time if he was going too far, my nails hurt now, approximately 6 hours later. Very sensitive and they feel overworked- something that hasn't happened to me with SNS in the past, only when techs have been too aggressive with scraping off old gel or SNS without the acetone fully softening it up. I very much hope the sensitivity subsided before morning. Having said that, it was also a bit of sticker shock as I paid about double the cost that I pay in Brooklyn. People think NYC is expensive, but competition drives prices lower... and probably they pay the techs less... but wow, $25 as the lowest option for a regular polish pedicure surprised me, especially without massage or hot towels or anything. My feet look good and hopefully the polish will last. Just might need to chill on any nail bed aggression for a while read more
