Only complaint is I did have to tell my first tech to buff my nail down more because it was lifting up (therefor the fill would not last me long and I've had two fall off because of this) It is a 25 minute drive for me up to the north hills but it is worth it. I wanted a gel manicure and they gave me a full manicure experience, including some hand warmers and a hand massage at the end (I feel like some nail salons skip this for gel). The nail tech was careful and thorough and was able to do my nails exactly like the inspiration photo. Everything was very clean and they had a ton of colors to choose from. No massage, no lotion applied This time was the last time. I made an appointment on Tuesday for myself!, husband and out of town guest. We get there and they tell us we were a half hour early and they could only take the two men first. I would have to wait an half hour. While I am waiting two ladies with an 11 appointment walk in and I am then told that I never made any appointments. I show them my phone that I made the call and tell who took the appointment. They finished the 2 pedicures in an half hour. They never apologized and kept insisting that I had never made an appointment So if you want a cheap pedicure that no time is taken to do, rude staff and the inability to make an appointment this is your place. read more

Nathan did my nails and he was so sweet and took his time with my nails and listened to everything I was looking for. For COVID safety measures the salon has Plexi glass up between you and the nail artist. Also they ask you to use hand sanitizer before you start your service and they sanitize before too. The guy who did my feet was terrible. Everything about the pedicure was painful, and my heels were still a little rough at the end of it. Thankfully Cindy saved the day with my manicure. Despite requesting nail art while initially scheduling, they still were unprepared when I arrived for my appointment. I've gone here 3 times to get my nails done. The deigns were amazing, so I assumed the quality was as well. NOPE!! The first time, awesome job....left a $20 tip. (Less than 2 weeks later most of them were lifted. Needed a full set when I went to my 2nd appointment. 2nd time, I was told to come in at 7pm, even though they closed at that time. Arrived for my appointment. Told them I wanted a design. I was told that because they were about to close, I couldn't get a design. After I reminded them about the message I sent earlier that day about wanting a design, they ended up doing it. But it was so rushed, there were brush steaks and it looked horrible. Still left a $20 tip 3rd time, nails were much better, design wise. Left my tip & left. Now, here we are, less than 3 weeks out from my last appointment & I have 2 nails that fell off, & EVERY SINGLE NAIL on my other fingers are lifted and could come off any second. I sent them a message about how disappointed I was & asked for someone else to do my nails. They didn't even offer an apology. Just an appointment for 13 days later. This place is legitimately THE WORST. Do NOT go here! Now I understand why it was so empty when I went all 3 times. EDIT: Photos showing the conversation from today. They did NOT apologize for the shitty work. & they DID rush me at my 2nd appointment & I can show the nails to prove it. How can you only guarantee a chip in someone's nails for 1 week?? But not the falling off or lifting of nails? Makes no sense. They're a scam. Do not let this place lie to you all! read more

I have been going here to get my nails done for special occasions for a while now - the management changed in October (I believe that was the timeline) and the current owners Benji and Nathan gave the salon not only a major facelift so that it's super clean and way more aesthetically pleasing than before, but they also bring such a welcoming vibe to this area that makes the experience of getting a nail service at this salon such a fun one. So glad these guys moved into Pines Plaza and would highly recommend them to anyone in the North Hills Nathan did my nails for my engagement shoot (and also suggested the best color when I mentioned I was having photos taken). read more

Made a 230 appointment after being recommended by my boyfriends mother , who loves it here . I waited until 3pm to be seated at the techs station .. finally a little after 3 (230 appt) I started getting my nails done . I started feel like I was an inconvenience . Then another customer came in , and the girl that started me , left to work on the customer just that came through the door . At this point I had been there 45 minutes and only had a quick file and the tip of the nail on . I knew by the way it was going it would be well past 4 by the time I was done and out of I have dinner plans at 5 to celebrate my 30th birthday with family , and I was hoping to have time to throw some make up on prior to leaving . So feeling pressed for time I left . I am really disappointed . I was really hoping this would be my "new" place since the other reviews are so good and I got a recommendation I trust , but ended up really disappointed . She is so pleasant and energetic not to mention positive. I felt like I was with a friend. 3 visits- made appt for each one. First one she was working on multiple people and it took forever for me to get done, 2nd one went so so, 3rd one I walked out before getting anything done. I got there early as a courtesy (just in case she was slow it would help her get ahead a little) but knew I would probably wait for my appt time. When I walked in she was working on someone so I just waited...and waited..and waited until 15 minutes past my appt time she showed no signs of being done with the person. When I stood up and let her know I was leaving she said she was almost done. (you should have been almost done closer to my appt time). I'm all for waiting if you are running late, but it seems they take walk ins no matter what is on the schedule books. I won't be back. My time is just as important as the next person but she never seemed to worry about that. read more

I gave one star because zero stars is not an option. I should've known that I was in trouble when the guy pulled out a cheese grater during my pedicure. Then I got a manicure. Big mistake. He clipped my cuticle so bad that I started bleeding all over the place. I should've left at that point. He tried putting something on it to stop the bleeding which made me wonder how any other peoples nasty cuts have touched this bottle. When I finally stopped bleeding and he did my nails, I didn't like the color and asked if they had a color a little less vibrant, he shook his head yes and just kept painting my nails with the original color. Let's just say I will NEVER go back. Wish I had the lady that the previous reviewer wrote about. read more

I have given NY Nail........3 times to redeem themselves and each time it's been worse than the time before. Every single time I have gone I get stuck with the old mother that they have working there and she doesn't understand a word of English. I start out by trying to tell her I have a bad knee and she needs to be gentle but again she doesn't understand any English so she continues jerking my knee around and I end up limping out. The gentleman working there last time heard and saw what was going on and never said a word. Each time I have also had a manicure.......HORRIBLE again not gentleness by this woman, poor quality didn't do what I asked. I refused to pay for the manicure because it was so bad polish didn't cover the all the nails, I wanted 1 nail full glitter and she slapped on color and glitter when I tried to tell her over and over it's not what I wanted, by that time I asked for the manager who wanted to fix the mess that was made but it was 8 in the evening and I had been there 2 hours already and wanted to go home and have some sort of dinner with my family. I only live 2 minutes from this place and it's really sad it such poor quality I would never ever send anyone here. Typically we go for a mani pedi to relax and have some down time........not in this case, again HORRIBLE!!!!!!! read more
