First time here and it's like a mini Buc-ee's. They have so many pastries, kolaches, fudge, etc. to choose from. We first tried their bacon breakfast burrito, which was pretty good. Then was the kolache, which was super juicy that sausage juice dripped on to my shirt. Yah, I know tmi, but something to keep in mind when you're eating it. The cinnamon roll was yummy too. It was still pretty fluffy and wasn't dry at all. We weren't a fan of the jerky, so that was a miss. Overall, I'd like to visit again and try their other food.

I stopped by this place coming back into town. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy. The line was literally almost out the door. And even on the gas station side the line was the same way. We entered the main shop, and they only had two employees working. One collecting the orders and one being the cashier. We were probably in line for about 30 mins until somebody else came to assist. They had a lot of choices to pick from. I ordered a regular sausage, jalapeño sausage w/ cheese, and a cinnamon roll. What stole the show for me was the cinnamon roll. I was concerned that it was barely had any frosting on top but it was perfect! I wasn't a fan of the jalapeño sausage but I did like the original plain. Maybe just too much bread for my liking. This place has a lot of unique pictures on the walls and different flavors of pastries to buy. Definitely stop by if you're on a road trip!

Have been tor his place multiple times over the years on my drive up from Austin to Dallas. It is a must stop. They are inside of a Shell gas station so literally a one stop shop. The kolaches are fresh, soft and yummy. TONS of flavors to choose from. Staff is friendly and fast. The line can get long but don't be discouraged bc it will move fast with the amount of staff they have behind the counter. They also offer sandwiches, desserts, breads and other items to try. They have frozen items as well if you aren't going to eat them right away or want to bulk buy (hint, hint). You can also grab any of you normal convience store items such as coffee, bottle water, alcohol, gas, chips, snacks, fountain drinks etc. Highly recommend!

Classic travel food stop. Prices are good and selection is abundant. If you're driving between Dallas and Austin/ San Antonio, try picking up a dozen assorted kolaches as a gift for friends, family or coworkers. Make sure to check out their discounted items shelves for some good deals.

Czech Stop is a must-stop for me every single time I'm driving between Austin and Dallas. It's basically tradition at this point. The kolaches are an incredible value -- they taste amazing and are somehow still super affordable. I always get a mix of sweet and savory, because skipping either would be a mistake. For sweet, I love the cream cheese, apple, and cherry. For savory, you can't go wrong with the sausage kolaches. Pro tip: if you ask, they'll warm them up for you, which makes them even better. Even when the line wraps around this legendary little store, the service is impressively fast. The line moves quickly, so you're never waiting as long as it looks. These are easily the best kolaches I've had in Texas so far, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Expect many more future stops from me.

Safe to say the camera did not eat first and that should explain everything. Stopped here on the way to Austin and it is our new roadtrip stop. Better than buccees - loved the homey feeling. Line moves quick! Everything we had was fresh and flavorful. Loved the brisket and spinach kolache. The cream cheese kolache is fire and the banana bread one is not too sweet, which I was pleasantly surprised by. The only thing I would recommend is having a beef sausage option for those that don't eat pork. Other than that I loved it!

I always love stopping by here whenever I have a trip between Austin to Dallas. Bakery with a gas station right off I 35 is pretty convenient if you need to pump gas and also get some sweet treats. In term of their kolache, I love the wide varieties of sweet and savory options, but after trying it for the third time can confirm I am not impressed. Somehow none of my kolache bread/dough ever tastes fresh which is so disappointing. The toppings are all very good, don't get me wrong but the staleness of the bread is such a big letdown.

A truly wonderful place to buy delicious, high-quality baked goods. Fast service and an huge variety of pastries to choose from. They also have frozen options, many kinds of Czech sausages, and natural jams. This place is an absolute hidden gem right off the highway: a real diamond you don't expect to find.

Stopped in this week during Spring Break. Other side of bakery remains closed. We encountered long lines as a result. Tried the coconut kolache, it was good but not great. Pimento cheese on white and deviled egg were great as always. Picked up a box of cheddar jalapeño biscuits. The crowded lines lets you know this is a beloved institution.

Small but nice pit stop. The puff pastries were all really good. And only over $2 per puff is a good deal! The other snack choices are also great to have for a road trip. Definitely so here if you are tried off the bbq choices from the same Bill boards you see along the highway.

My friend's always talk about this place! Super cute little store that has SO MANY OPTIONS! I wanted to eat everything! The staff can sling out orders like nobody's business and it is incredible! You need to be ready to make decisions but I will tell you... NONE of them will be wrong! I do want to note... anything with jalapeno will be spicy. They def use quality produce and the jalapenos are FRESH! Next time I go by I will clearly be making a stop!

Great little quick shop, sandwich, kolache, pig in a blanket breakfast treats! Location is part of a gas station. This location on the highway, one hour South of DFW in West, TX. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful with selections. Picked up food to go, all was really good. Highly recommend this place for a stop and treat of Czech foodie items!

We always stop here on our long travels. I've always enjoyed the kolaches. My sister loves the sausage kolache! Yum

There sweets are good like the maple twist, but I wasn't really a fan of the kolaches. They do have a very wide variety so worth a shot.

Is there any vegan bakery items?

I didn't see any Vegan items on their menu so I would suggest you call just to be sure.

Do they sell chocolate coconut macaroons (a chocolate cookie with coconut inside). We used to get them years ago, not sure if they still make them?

Gluten free options?

No gluten free options. I just checked with the staff

But it is quality cheese, and you get see where it is made. Not being familiar with this shop, we decided, with the help of Matt (I believe he is the head cheese, maker) to put together a sampling of the available cheeses. The ones were picked are: Granbury Gold: 2-4 month aged Gouda style cheese. Granbury Vintage: 6-9 month aged Gouda style cheese. Birdville Reserve: Natural rind Trappist style cheese. Caraway to Heaven: Toasted caraway seeds in a Gouda style cheese. There was not a bad cheese in the bunch and we enjoyed them all, right down to the rind, which IS edible. I added a photo of all available cheese, and the prices. I totally expect to come back, whenever we need to put a cheese plate together. Oh, and as another testament, as we were leaving a group of 4 came in, and they had driven all the way from Dallas after learning of this cheese. And I will say, it is worth the drive. Bottom line: If you like cheese, this place is definitely worth going out of your way for!

If you are a fan of aged cheeses, this is a must visit! We tried the granbury gold (the mildest), award winning birdville reserve, caraway to heaven, granbury limited edition, and drunken monk: they were out of the bottom three. We purchased every one of them! Locally sourced and made...it was perfection! We will definitely be back for more on our next visit to the area!!!
