Light, fluffy, with just the slightest crisp on the outside and the perfect balance of sweetness. Easily some of the best waffles I've ever had. The chicken was just as impressive. Perfectly breaded with the perfecrunch while staying incredibly tender and juicy. Exactly what great chicken and waffles should be. We also ordered the Webster. Loaded with strawberries, drizzled with Nutella, and fresh whipped cream. It was incredible, looked just like all the pictures. The fresh made whipped cream was piled high, and every bite was delicious. Even with about a 15-minute line, the wait was completely worth it. The staff was genuinely friendly, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, and the food exceeded every expectation. This is officially my go to spot for chicken and waffles in Central Texas. No choice of egg preparation, cooked hard in waffle iron only, smoked sausage link which is not specified on the menu and not to my liking. Bacon ordered crispy was not. We received one waffle each and neither was hot or crispy as a fresh waffle should be. I have included photos. For 37.00 you would expect silverware and not plastic cutlery. We won't go back. We saw a viral TikTok about Waco Waffle, so when we were in town, we decided to give it a try. There was a long line when we arrived, but we took a chance, and I'm glad we did. We waited about 20 minutes to get inside. Once you enter, you order at the counter and then find a seat. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and it took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. We ordered three of the savory waffles, topped with egg, turkey bacon, chicken, avocado, and white gravy. Everyone at the table agreed it was worth the wait. The food was delicious, filling, and full of flavor. The inside isn't very large, but it has a cozy feel, and the grounds around the restaurant are beautiful. We appreciated a busy waitress taking the time to find us a seat when she noticed we were standing around. Overall, service was fine and understandable given the demanding environment. However there are stairs in back, seating is so close together a wheelchair won't get through. We drove an hour south & waited 90 mins inline we order Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich, The Texan & the Silo all delicious. Portions are large & every bite as good as the last. It looks like a small house at first but once inside it's a cool place with a water wheel lots of windows & it smells amazing. I LOVE peanut butter and chocolate, banana, but adding the caramel was so good too! The pricing is a bit strange because it's only 2$ more to get the "whole" waffle but a half probably would have been enough, because the toppings make it very fulfilling. The portions vs.. the prices are astronomically disproportionate... everything was tasty. The jalepeno waffle with turkey grilled cheese was amazing. No cold drinks. No ice cups. It was so hot, even inside. We were on a road trip from San Antonio to Dallas to go drop our daughter off for college and it was on the list of pre-planned stops. Yesterday we entered excited to try this place out since it's close to our home! We entered & the lady just said hello & thats its, we didn't think much of it at that point. After sitting for a bit we noticed every costumer that would enter the lady would say hello have y'all been here before & would explain what to do, if they were new. Every person I saw coming in the door was Caucasian. We felt as if they were racist, I could be wrong but that's what happened. When we put in our order the lady mentioned they were out of strawberries it was fine with us. Then when the people that ordered after us got their order they had fresh strawberries on their plates!! I didn't think that was fair. The food was ehhhh for the price it's not worth it!! I'm glad we tried it out when it wasn't so busy because I would have left. Well, what can I say about this place? This place was amazing beautiful setting gorgeous patio deck! Their waffle combinations are very interesting and well packed with all the accoutrements so beware if you want peanut butter you're gonna get peanut butter if you want chocolate chips you're gonna get a lot of chocolate chips! They have very small portions on their drinks, but still very good. I had the university waffle it was great. I had the full menu which was too big squares more than enough for a good person could've maybe gotten by with a half! The people were kind on point service was amazing. My beef sausage was WAY over cooked (more like beef jerky) and my husband waffle was mushy & very bland tasting. It was disappointing because we were really excited to try this place. The coffee was good.... The iced coffee was too sweet for me but some people like sweet coffee. I still love coming out to Homestead heritage nonetheless.... But I will try the café next time.
