We are new to the area and found this cafe for a Saturday lunch, zero regrets! This place is on a cute street of locally owned businesses. They had outdoor seating so our dog could join us for the meal. When you go in, order at the counter, grab your own drinks and have a seat with your number. Pretty simple. I had the Pimento cheese BLT with chips and sweet tea. My wife had the Greek chicken salad with water. My sandwich was perfect and so good. The portion was just right. The salad was huge! I suggest sharing it or getting the half portion. It was very fresh and delicious. The line to order inside was getting to the door as we were leaving, popular place. We are hoping to find more hidden gems in the area. We enjoy supporting small local businesses. read more

All fresh and great tasting. Ladies were awesome. highly recommend them for breakfast.

This little restaurant contains historic features dating back to the 1800's! Very cool little place. The food is fresh and delicious. Everyone was super friendly and sweet. Had lunch on our visit. Four cheese panini with chips and a pickle. I also got a side of the BLT macaroni salad. The sandwich was perfectly crispy with ooey gooey cheese inside. The BLT Mac salad was so good! I could have eaten a huge bowl of it. The peach iced tea was perfection. For desert, we had an apricot hand pie, lemon cookie and chocolate crinkle cookie. All 3 were amazing. Will be going back again!! read more

What a delightful spot, would be an asset anywhere but in Clifton it is special. Focus is on quality, prices are fair considering the quality. I would like to see another ordering system that doesn't require standing in a queue, would make the experience more genteel. read more

H.G. Wells must had this place in mind when he wrote "The Time Machine " or better yet he probably enjoyed the Soda Fountain just as I have. The chocolate malt, yes I said MALT, was perfectly original. I haven't enjoyed one like this since the Sixties. Heaven in a Soda Glass. This is a must if you are 70 or 17. read more

I am obsessed with this place. When I was little, my parents would always take me there to get their old fashioned sodas when we were driving from our hometown of Temple to where they were from in North Texas. It has a real old timey soda fountain! They will make the sodas right in front of you! The last time we drove through, it was lunchtime and I decided to treat my daughter to the magic of this place. I had their lunch special, which was baked chicken with potato and it was unbelievably delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with fresh fruit. It was just perfect and the fruit was really fresh. Then, we decided to try some of their baked goods as well as get our own handmade sodas. We sat up at the soda fountain bar to see them at work. She got a root beer float and I got a float made with orange soda - it tasted just like a dream sicle. Also, everyone who worked there was over the top friendly and super sweet. Sometimes in small towns, you know they know you aren't from there and are a little standoffish. but this was not the case here. All of the workers were so kind. I live about two hours away, so this is definitely not a convenient place for me but I'm already trying to plan my next trip to include a stop hear read more

Consistently excellent food and service combined with a beautifully appointed historic interior, Corner Drug Café is an experience not to be missed if you're in the greater Clifton, TX area. It's a family affair, both for the customers and the owners, with myriad choices for sweet and savory designed by Chef and Staff. As a member of the community, I bring them my custom at every opportunity, and I always finish the visit with a Keto cookie or two. Sometimes three with a fresh cup of coffee. :) Portions are healthfully-sized and ingredients are fresh. Their soups and sandwiches are filling and energizing, and I frequently opt for the turkey and Brie - a unique option for the area. Pastries are freshly-made, and you should always ask about the specials. Mimosas and handmade shakes round out the soda fountain and drink selections, with bottomless coffee and tea available for longer, meandering conversations at small tables or long benches. Sit down, take away, or save it for later - just don't miss a chance to enjoy the experience the founders have created at the Corner Drug Café. read more

Great pastries. Excellent service. Daily lunch menu varies. On Saturday they have cherry hand pies

Amazing food and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. It feels like you step back in time. The people all know each other. The food tastes like what your grandmother cooked after Sunday church service. Go try it. I had the special of the day which was meatloaf with brown gravy, peas, carrots and mashed potatoes. I usually avoid this kind of meal because they aren't good...but at a place like this, is a for sure lock on being delicious. It was. It did not disappoint. I will be back. read more

Really a great place for lunch. Food is very good and the atmosphere is that of a small town.

Small quaint cafe. We love to support local. Took quite a while to get food. They were out of the specials and out of our second choices as well which was very disappointing. But what we did have is very good. We will return. read more

I don't visit Clifton often, but after coming here I could make this a regular part of my life. I could eat here every day and always be surprised with something new! Chef Nena does a fantastic job of rotating daily specials, whether it's a kit Kat checker cake, chicken cilantro soup, Ruben sandwich, the list goes on and on! Currently serving breakfast and lunch only, but you can also catch them for special event dinners or just ask about catering your next event! Food-I tried the southwest avacado toast, which was a fun twist with a fried egg and pepper jack cheese added on. More of a biscuit and gravy fan? Also delicious! Don't forget to try the honey butter! Interested in Sunday brunch? Try the French toast plate, comes with scrambled eggs and some delicious thick cut bacon. This dish is only available on Sunday because the bread is made fresh every morning! You HAVE to try it! Alcohol- Beer and wine available, mimosas too! Coffee- Not sure where it's sourced but it's clearly joy in a cup. And they have a refreshing cold brew. Bakery/Dessert - Everything is made fresh that morning and you can tell. It's as if your Pinterest board came to life and appeared. Perfectly made and insanely delicious. They do special event cakes as well. Watching what you eat? They have keto options too! Service- This is a family feel and they make everyone feel welcomed. You will order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Pro tip- If you plan on being a frequent customer ask about thier rewards card for free stuff! Overall what a great small town gem find! Wish there was a second location where I live. read more

Husband and I ate lunch here in Clifton. The building was the old drug store in town. I had a fabulous chicken salad sandwich on yummy wheat bread. Came with a large pickle slice and a bag of kettle fried chips. My husband had a French dip sandwich. He wolfed it down. It also came with a pickle and chips. There were no crumbs on our plates! You order at the counter, get a number and find a table. Our food came out quickly. Everyone was very nice. Bathrooms were spotless. Highly recommend! read more

The hand pies are awesome the staff and owners are amazing! Such wonderful people. Definitely recommend this place!

Quaint restaurant with delicious breakfast and pastries! The breakfast meal of the day was stacked waffle, sausage, egg, waffle then amazing parfait with strawberries, pecans, granola, and cheese potatoes! I will definitely go back to eat there. The latte was great too and I sampled the biscuit (fluffy and great) plus the strawberry jam must be homemade! Pastries smelt great and looked baked to perfection but I was so stuffed I didn't try one. I will soon! Service was friendly and food arrived shortly after enjoying a few sips of coffee. read more

Just finished a wonderful lunch with my family. We enjoyed the nostalgic atmosphere and the very friendly wait staff. We all had the very delicious French Dip sandwich with ajous, (so tender and moist) loaded potato soup, and a delicious array of bakery items accompanied with some great tasting coffee. (Native Pecan and Toffee Crunch) The chocolate bourbon pecan pie was to absolutely die for. If you haven't tried this hidden jewel in Clifton,Texas I would highly suggest you check it out! This place continues to surpass my expectations. They have a daily special of a common comfort food dish, some of which I liked growing up and others I didn't. Without fail, this place has made me fall in love with dishes I didn't think I liked. For example, I don't like turkey. I've never liked it, especially around Thanksgiving because the meat is always dry with a chalky texture. This year, we went to their Thanksgiving lunch and wow, I didn't know turkey could be so flavorful, moist and tasty! (They brined it overnight and then cooked it). The staff there is so friendly, and creates an atmosphere of a small community cafe. They have regulars from Clifton and then folks from out of town. It's hard for people to go into the cafe and not see someone they know - especially if they're from Clifton. Recently, they've also put in a soda bar too. This cafe has taken a special place in my heart, for good food, good atmosphere and good folks. I'll leave you with a quote seen in their dessert area: "Cupcakes just muffins with icing...and muffins are healthy; you're welcome." read more

Very friendly, although very busy, wait staff walked around with a smile, was helpful. good food.

Super cute! I had the bright and early native pecan blend coffee. It was terrific! Hubby had egg, cheese and sausage tacos. Good, but salsa was weak. Good flavor, but no spice. Didn't ask if they had any other options. I had the breakfast bowl. It was excellent!!! Eggs, sausage gravy, biscuit, potatoes, bacon and cheese. Seriously had it all! It was great!!!!! Gravy had awesome flavor and tons of sausage. read more
