This doesn't include the great service you will get. Take a short drive to Itasca (not far off IH35W and very close to Hillsboro) and visit The Olde Towne Country Store. You will be in for a treat that will you forget those fast food stops. We had some absolutely amazing sandwiches (enough for two meals) and spent way too much money on sweets, preserves, bread (we took home jalapeno bread - not hihomemade noodles, fresh vegetables (amazing flavored bell peppers and tomatoes), along with other cooking ingredients, and much more. What a special little gem in Hico! 2nd Street is so much more than a coffee spot. It's a place where people can gather, connect, and help support those who may need a little extra kindness and generosity. Great coffee, delicious bread, wonderful people, and an even better purpose. Definitely worth a stop when you're in Hico!

It's right next door to where the address on the Yelp Page will take you, but it is formerly the "Bakeshop." The staff mentioned to us the former building/house was being renovated to become an AirBnB or something. We were looking forward to patio seating given we had our pup with us, but the restaurant didn't have any, so we opted for drive-thru. The restaurant itself has a small parking lot. The woman who took our order was very kind and informative, as mentioned previously. I ordered an "Iced Latte with White Chocolate" and ordered the "Breakfast Burrito," which contained sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. The latte was good, creamy and sweet with the WC flavoring. The burrito was also good, not amazing, but good! I should have ordered 2 of them, it wasn't too big, so keep that in mind. The cheese was melted inside and the sausage was super flavorful. There was a section of my burrito in which the sausage was actually cold, which took me by surprise, but other than that it was good. Pricing was decent for what we ordered. We would come back if we were driving through again!!

Gary (based on the conversation with the customer ahead of us and who I assume is the owner) served us last night and he was professional and pleasant. The care we had seen him take with the customer ahead of us, who was evidently a local, did not end with us. It's the little things; he smiled, he asked if the mustard, mayo, lettuce, etc were satisfactory, he made sure we were aware of the different color tags on our sandwiches, he tanked us and wished us a good evening, that all added up to a very good experience. The dining room was also exceptionally clean and in good order. It's always great to see someone take pride in their work no matter how trivial it may seem to the rest of us. Thanks Gary!
