I normally don't write reviews so the fact that I did means that I'm serious about this shit: Went for a Naught but Nice Christmas Special with my boyfriend. The place itself is amazing. It's lit with candles and rose petals everywhere which really adds to the ambiance. The room that we entered was really nice- had a shower, two massage beds and the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi part of the treatment was intimate and relaxing. We had a 6:30 appointment, arrived 15 minutes late. They took 15 minutes away from our spa treatment. Because of that we were only able to use the jacuzzi for 5 minutes. Not only that but they didn't give us the champagne that was part of our package. When it came time for the massage- it was exciting but disappointing. My masseuse name was Robert. He was a really nice man but the massage was not worth $400. He was simply putting lotion on me. Simply just went up and down my body with lotion on his hands or forearm. To call it a rub is a bit of overstatement. My boyfriend could've simply rubbed lotion on me if that's what I wanted. He pressed his fingers on my body in awkward places. If you want a quality massage that is worth $400 then this is not the place for you. My boyfriend literally said "the massage reminded me of my mother putting lotion on me as a kid"... The massage is not quality for $400. But if you really want to pay for just some lotion and bubbles jacuzzi with your loved one or friends then it's definitely for you!! read more

I had an amazing experience! I booked the "Me, Myself, and I" spa package. I was instantly greeted at the front desk where they checked me in and took my coat and led me to a private room with jacuzzi and massage table. The room smelled so nice and they played relaxing music. My jacuzzi soak was accompanied by a glass of champagne and snacks. My massage was amazing. My husband surprised me with a couple's special package which includes- jacuzzi time, side-by-side hour-long massages, and champagne and chocolate fondue. For only $320, I'd say this is a great deal considering you can barely get a couple's massage not including anything else for that price. Upon entering the spa, we were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome and told to get seated comfortably while the receptionist grabbed our coats. She then brought us a warm towel and delicious tea to enjoy while our room was being prepared. Once everything was set up, she brought us to an amazing private room, dimly lit and romantic with candlelight, where there was a bubbly jacuzzi, shower and two massage beds so that our entire spa experience would be in the privacy of our own room. The jacuzzi was full of bubbles/water and considering how freezing it was outside, I was very much looking forward to relaxing in the heat, however, the water was tepid and not at all what I was hoping it would be. I would have given Cynergy 5 stars had the water been hot. My husband & I tried adding more hot water, but the water wasn't coming out hot and it only made the water colder. Kenisha was my masseuse and she was amazing!!! Not only was she really friendly and immediately made you feel comfortable, but she also made to sure to ask about any injuries/medical conditions, problem areas I'd like her to focus on and asked which type of pressure I prefer for my massages. I personally prefer a lot of pressure and she sure delivered! I will definitely be back and request Kenisha for a massage! My husband also said his massage was amazing, but I can't remember his masseuse's name. Once they were done, they had our robes laid out, the room was cleaned and there was an adorable table set up with strawberries, chocolate fondue and champagne. Needless to say it was the best decision made. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a nice warm greeting. She gave me tea and a hot towel as I signed the paper work. Our apportionment time was for 11am. My bf waited in the car till 11am because that's when parking rules ended. (PARKING SUCKS IN THIS AREA) make sure you give yourself some time to look for parking if you're driving. When he walked in at 11:02 we were walked to our room which had a jacuzzi filled with water and bubbles, candles lit around it. The smell and the ambiance of the place was beautiful. We spent 30 minutes in the jacuzzi. After that it was time for our massages. I felt a little weird because we were told there would be a female and a male masseuse. So we spent a few minutes deciding who would get who. (Amongst ourselves) I normally choose the women but because it was his birthday I let him go with her I took the male. They made us both feel extremely comfortable. They ask you where you want them to focus on. And they get to rubbing. Totally worth whatever I spent. When they were done we put our robes on and were brought to another room where there was strawberries with chocolate fondue and champagne. The look on my boyfriends face was priceless. So I had decided to surprise my then boyfriend of 4 years with the Couple's Spa Package at Cynergy Spa this past weekend for our anniversary. Boy, does time fly by! In all that time, I had never really fooled him or surprised him with a gift... Well, now it was my turn and I took no mercy. To begin with, I actually convinced him that we were going deeper into Brooklyn to pick up some gluten-free cupcakes for a beach BBQ later that evening at my cousin's house. I had all my bases covered perfectly having my aunt and visiting cousin in on the situation. So come Saturday morning, we left to pick up the special cupcakes... No ounce of suspicion whatsoever. I should have been an actress! We walk right into the spa and I hand him his gift certificate... Surprise!! The rest is history. Anyways, onto the experience... The woman in the front was very hospitable and sweet. She immediately escorted us down a long, dimly lit hallway to the couples room in the back. I was surprised at how big it was for what seemed like such a small place. The couple's package consists of a jacuzzi dip for 25 minutes, 55 minute massages side by side and then champagne, chocolate and strawberries to cap it off with. My massage was great... and guessing on the soft moaning of my boyfriend, he loved his too. I think I fell asleep at the very end just because I was so relaxed. When we woke from our euphoric haze, we saw that at the foot of the massage tables they had set up a little table and two little chairs; on top of the table was a cute little ceramic fondue pot with melted chocolate and a large martini glass full of fresh strawberries plus two glass champagne flutes. The nice lady from the front then came in with a bottle of champagne and filled our glasses up and said we could always ask for more later (which turned into us drinking the whole bottle...I was buzzed for the rest of the day... Wth!) The great thing was though we were not hurried at all and we took our time drinking our lovely champagne and savoring the delicious strawberries and chocolate. We left feeling relaxed, unwinded and sleepy. All in all, a great experience! I would recommend the spa to any couple wanting to celebrate that something something special. I came to Cynergy Spa for the "Time for Two" massage session. It includes a private room for 2, with 20 minutes allotted for jacuzzi time and 55 minutes allotted for a massage. Included is also a glass of champagne for each person and some chocolate and nuts. The package is around $400. I had a 6 pm appointment and upon arrival, the staff was INCREDIBLY nice. Once we got into the room, we had 20 minutes to enjoy the champagne and get in the jacuzzi. It was a nice touch of relaxation before the massage. The massage was WONDERFUL. I forgot the names of the masseuses but oh my god. I had a male masseuse and he got every single knot out of my body. I don't know how he did it. Time went by fast but the massage was so relaxing and I left the spa feeling great. I do think that the package is a little expensive for what you get, especially because time in the jacuzzi is very limited. $400 plus 20% tip to each masseuse ends up being closer to $500 but it was a nice treat yourself experience. So, here it is, almost 3 months later. Like I stated, I came here for my birthday as a present to myself. I didn't get the birthday package but decided on a facial and massage. It was just right for a "test run." Upon entering, the ambiance was so calming. Everything was clean, from the front room to the private room they put me in. The lady who attended to me made sure I was comfortable and that the pressure was just right. You know a massage is great when you feel like 60 minutes isn't enough. The facial made my skin feel not only baby soft but super clean! She even suggested tips on products I could use over-the-counter. I would definitely go back again. This was probably the most relaxing spa experience I've ever had. I would definitely visit again. The ambiance was a major plus for me. The only reason that I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the facial products were very heavily fragranced which was concerning for me. I have acne prone skin so I try to add as little to the mix as possible. I am happy to report that I experienced no issues as a result of the products so no harm no foul. We walked into a dimly lit room with soft music and a bubbling jacuzzi surrounded by cancels. After soaking, we laid side by side for our massages. When we were done, we were brought chocolate fondue, strawberries and champagne. It was quite a romantic experience. I would certainly recommend. I believe I got the couple's package and it included the Jacuzzi, hour massage, then the strawberry and champagne after. They move you from room to room. This place was exactly what I needed to begin my weekend, Zen. I asked for females for both of our massages, when I booked the appointment. Both of the females were great (cant remember their name) and they were extremely thorough. I believe I even fell asleep for a few minutes and didn't realize, due to how relaxed I was getting this massage. Compared to all the other spa places I have been to, this one has to be the best thus far, in service and pricing. I had an appointment for a facial today, March 17, 2020...the DAY AFTER NYC basically closed due to the Corona virus pandemic. I called the spa to of course cancel the appointment because a FACIAL is the total opposite of social distancing that the City and World are imploring!! We all know by know this virus is transmitted by coming in contact with others, especially around the face. This spa refused to allow me to reschedule without being charged the full amount of the service. This is DANGEROUS and insensitive as a business right now. So I finally got the chance to visit this spa. As you walk through the door, you feel that spa-like feeling...u know the kind...the scents, the quietness, and just a feeling of relaxation. I was greeted with some tea which was very soothing. Headed towards the back and I must say, i like the decor--nice! got to my treatment room--undressed and received my back to nature massage. overall it was good. if i fall asleep during a massage, i usually use that as my point system to say whether this spa is a 10 so to speak--nonetheless, i didn't 'fall asleep, but was very relaxed. its definitely convenient as far as location goes and have a very friendly staff. I took my girl for a romantic Valentine's Day special couple's massage and it was just what I was hoping for. The jacuzzi and champagne with the tranquil atmosphere was really what we needed. However, I must say, IT WAS CERTAINLY WORTH THE WAIT! The professionalism, decor, ambiance, welcoming feel, level of expertise and much more that you receive from the moment you walk through the door is unmatched. I have been to several spas, but this one takes the cake. The fact that it is black-owned is the cherry on top. You can tell they put a lot of attention to detail into the experience -- relaxing aromatics, flower petals scattered throughout, low lighting, clean bathrooms, nice staff. My masseuse seemed experienced and was very sweet/ easy-going. A couple notes that would've made it more of a 5-star experience: 1. Arrived right on time and there was about a 15 minute wait but I was the only one there. Water, tea, or something to drink while waiting should've been available -- especially since the treatments were a few hundred $$$ 2. There was a relaxing piano instrumental in the background (roughly 4-5mins long)... BUT it played on repeat for the entirety of my 2-hour session haha. I'm a little late writing this review, but better late than never. November 2013 I was looking for a Spa to surprise my girlfriend with for her birthday. My Amazing Cousin recommended Cynergy Spa. I did a little research online and decided on the package that I was interested in buying. I called and spoke to a friendly voice regarding reservations. She explained the dates that she had available as well as the price, Not bad for a couples Birthday package. I asked if it was possible to place a down payment to hold the reservations, as a Courtesy she was able to accommodate my request. Upon arriving on that very cold November day we were greeted with warm towels and Hot herbal tea, which was a God send considering the horrible winter we had. She took our coats and confirmed our appt. We were then lead to a room which housed a Jacuzzi with rose petals, side by side massage beds and scattered candles. The woman explained that we have Jacuzzi time for 30 minutes, we will then hear a knock on the door at that point we will need to get under the covers and await our Masseuse to come. Two entered the room I had Marcus and My girlfriend had a friendly young woman (can't remember her name). We were asked about our problematic areas, told to relax. I can honestly say that was one of the BESTTTTTT massages I've ever had to date. Once our massages were over we were told that they would leave the room and we can put on the ropes and slippers that they left for us. Once we finally got up What was left was a table, 2 glass, Strawberries and a Fondue pot filled with Chocolate (my Fav). Five Minutes later Marcus entered the room with a bottle of Champagne. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday this past weekend -- the jacuzzi bubble bath, massage and strawberry fondue was a 3 star experience (4 star for the experience itself but given that I did pay $360 for it, 3 star overall for the worth of money). 1 star for the overall customer service experience. When I called to make a reservation, the girl was very hasty and only explained about deposit and 24-hour notice for cancellation. Nothing about lateness, no show or what happens to my deposit if I don't cancel within 24 hour is explained. On the appointment date, my boyfriend felt sick from the car ride so we stopped by the taco place nx door for 10min. Only when we arrived, the receptionist explained lateness will result in reduction of the service, which I would be totally ok if this was explained when I made the appointment. When I asked about it, the receptionist had a very self-entitled attitude and said "you were in the neighborhood and you chose to take your time" after we told her that my boyfriend was feeling sick. Trust me, just for saying that, I would give her negative stars if I could. If you always think you are right but not your customers, maybe you should rethink about being in customer service. Your job is to manage customers' expectations and fix it up when things don't go as well as expected. And sometimes yes, a hasty phone call and not so friendly receptionist can ruin things, especially for picky customers like me. read more
