What an absolute treat. I just left here an hour ago. Black owned, check. Clean facility, check. Great customer service,check. Today is my birthday and I was intentional about finding a black owned spa. I booked online through the website. It was a seamless process, I must say. I experienced the body scrub, a nice hot shower and than an hour Swedish massage. At one point it felt like she had four hands lol. My time with Elizabeth was well spent. She is kind hearted . So sweet. She made my experience special and offered me a glass of champagne at the end of my service. The receptionist is such a sweet guy. Great vibes in this facility all around read more

This was my second time going to see them, and they did amazing. I had a different massage therapist this time and I forgot to get her name before I left but she did amazing. I got the Deep tissue massage and she worked out muscle knots I didn't even know I had. She also gave me a scalp/head massage which I wasn't even expecting and it felt amazing. I was excited for this birthday massage, but was very disappointed. Elizabeth did not ask me any questions and was very rude to me at the end of the massage when I politely inquired about facial massage and asked her to massage a part that was missed. My first time at this neighborhood gem was an amazing experience! I had scheduled a Swedish massage and mini facial. I was early for my appointment so Elizabeth started early. Her greeting was pleasant and friendly. Her first question was "do you need anything before we start because I have you for 90 minutes! ?" My first time here and I received a 60-minute hot stone massage and it was HEAVENLY! From the moment I entered the establishment I was treated very nicely by the staff that was present. I had an appointment before hand so all of the administrative stuff was dealt with swiftly. The massage was everything I needed. The stones weren't as hot as I had anticipated, they were the perfect temperature when they were applied to my back. My masseuse (I'm so mad I forgot her name) hands rubbed away all of the aches and pains in my body. I'll definitely be coming back! Thank you Also, Covid protocols were followed and the rooms were cleaned prior to be entering. P.S. No pictures but the environment is very small and intimate that can hold only a few people at a time. I found this place after my usual spot (Melt) didn't have any appointments and the reviews were pretty good...long story short this place lives up to the reviews and the massage surpassed my expectations! The room was clean and booking was easy. I got matched with Elizabeth for a 75mins Swedish massage ($125) and she gave me one of the best massages I've ever had (and I've been to a lot of places)! The pressure was a great balance between firm and restorative. She was able to kneed out knots while helping me relax. She kept me warm and also massaged my feet! I'm so happy I found this spot. She used a towel to cover my hair so it didn't get oily and she used a warm moist towel on my feet at the end. Simply wonderful! Elizabeth took me right into the room, we discussed the massage and got right down to it. I have tried a few people here to do my Brazilian wax and I seem to get more ingrown hairs in that area each time. Those have never been a problem for me when I've gotten waxed at other places so, that was unfortunate because now I just can't do it to myself anymore although I was really excited to support this Black-owned spa. There is almost always wax left on the area and the waxes I've gotten here take REALLY long. Also, I got a massage and the therapist stopped around 15 mins early? I don't get that. It's been less than 30 minutes since I left Zensayshen and I'm already writing this review. I went for a 60 min couples massage with body scrub and wow! The scrub felt magical and the in-room shower after was amazing. I had Dagmar and my partner had Elizabeth. The first 20ish mins were the scrub and the remaining time was the massage. Dagmar was very thorough and ensured my comfort throughout. The hot towels and body lotion/oil used felt amazing. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the massage only focused on the back of the body. I thought I'd be turned over onto my back for a front body massage but maybe because of the timing that is not included in the package we got. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and I'll be back to support this clean, local neighborhood gem! read more

I had heard great things about this place, in particular Dagmar, so I decided to make an appointment with her. My back was really tight so I was hoping to make an appointment in the next day or two but was informed that she wasn't available until 5 days later which I agreed to because I specifically wanted to go to her. In addition I was quoted $130 for an hour which I was surprised about because that is quite steep for non-Manhattan prices but decided to go for it due to the glowing reviews. I got there, signed in and was greeted and brought to a room for the massage by Sonia I believe. At the time of check-in I couldn't quite remember Dagmar's name, so it didn't quite sink in that she was not the one about to give me the massage until it clicked and the massage was already underway. The massage itself was a 4 out of 5, but I was really disappointed about the switcheroo, and don't think it was worth the price. Went last weekend for a massage and am on here writing a review because I was looking for the phone number to book another! Lovely space, saw Dagmar for my 90 minute massage. The room was clean and quiet, the table was comfortable and has an option for heat as well. Dagmar was fantastic. Very intuitive, worked out my issues (some take more than one session, not her fault at all, I've just got two super sticky knots that never go away entirely) and she spent a good amount of time working on them but not so much that I felt shortchanged on the rest. Also, not sure what it was, but the place smelled PHENOMENAL when I was there. Just fruity and fresh and it was awesome. Highly recommend this spa!
