I got a deep bikini wax here a couple weeks ago. The space looked unclean but my regular wax person was all booked up so I had no choice. Bad Decision. When I went into the shop, I was stared at for a good minute after I informed the employees of what service I wanted. Not sure what the stares were for. Laughing and multiple comments were also made about my body hair and body which is a general NO NO when working so closely w people's bodies. Thirdly, the waxer literally left me with so much wax residue on my body and didn't bother to clean up the smaller hairs that i stayed in the room for 5 minutes afterwards cleaning up her mess. Finally, since the wax I've had a ridiculous amount of ingrown hairs which is not uncommon, but I wonder if its so many because of the unhygienic conditions at this place. I came to Blooming Brown for some pre-trip prepping. I got a Groupon for a CBD Brazilian wax, upon arrival for this location outside is clean, there's no garbage or papers in front of the building.. and for it to be on Fulton st that's impressive.. upon arrival, when you enter the establishment it smells very clean Matter fact when I walked up, they were cleaning the windows. When I went inside they were cleaning the rooms, and that was very good to know they are on top of their Covid cleanliness !! I went really early I was able to get an appointment as a walk-in, even though I had a Groupon.. so they let me go freshen up in the bathroom and then straight to work she went .. i don't remember her name but she was as gentle as you could be will a hairy Beaver lol It took all of 20in for her to get me right ... thou i will say i don't think it was a CBD Brazilian cause i wasn't feeling no sense of relief sensitive skin my butt lol But it was an overall good experience I'll def go back .. read more

Was looking to switch from the person I was using for my waxing and found Blooming Brows on Groupon and purchased 3 Brazilians. It was a spectacular deal that came with an extra 20% off for the holidays. At $37 you can't be that. Called the next day and made an appointment. Arrived in the neighborhood about 7 mins and found parking in Kingston a block away. Checked in and my appointment was immediately validated. Moriam showed me to the room and my first session was underway. She used the powder and then chocolate wax and with very little discomfort she was done in less than 20 mins. It wasn't as thorough when I felt it so I asked her to take care of those issues. She said the hairs were too short but we were able to get them out with a little extra effort. I was happy so I decided to have her to thread my brows. She did a terrific job. I left at 4:37 after having both services. It doesn't get better than that. My only regret is that I didn't book a facial. The prices are great as are the reviews so I booked for a week later. So happy I found this place. Planned on coming here for quite some time and I finally did last week. This place is exceptional! My wait time was less than 10 minutes and I was relieved that walk-ins are welcomed. Originally, I was interested in simply getting my eyebrows threaded and tinted. However, that quickly changed when I noticed a customer who just finished getting the "Natural Lashes" which looked like they were her actual lashes. I decided to add on the "Long Natural Lashes" to my existing services. During and after these lashes were applied, I felt absolutely no irritably. This was a relief because in the past, the thickness of the glue on my eyelids would feel heavy and bothersome. The best part was the total price; $33 plus tax. That's a deal for 3 services! In the past, I would pay $7 for eyebrow-threading and approximately $42 for my getting my eyebrows threaded & lashes applied (not including tip). I finally got a Brazilian here with the famous meenu..she did great as expected. Then I asked her to do my brows and they were blah. I am back today for a Brazilian. Meenu was here but was already occupied as I had someone new . I did not get here name but I could tell by her careful technique she might have been newly licensed..she was sweet gentle and took her time. No haphazard ripping and pulling up which causes ingrown hairs especially on curly hair . Anyhow when I asked "should I turn over now" , she stated she had already did the back... Hmmm new and different technique. She did that part with my legs up..unless I received a deep Brazilian instead of a full. I checked after and it was a full. 2 stars for customer service. They're always really sweet, greet you when you walkin, and thanks you for your patronage. I'll def stop in, if I'm in the area, for eye brow threading, although I've had better shaping done elsewhere. I Did a super convenient walk-in before for mink lashes that lasted long enough and were cute so I'll def try them again for that service. It gets annoying having to book people on-line weeks/months in advance, leave a 50 % non refundable deposit that doesn't guarantee the lash tech wont cancel and reschedule, and read though 3 pages of rules and strict guidelines. Not here at Blooming ! Unfortunately they are horrible at waxing. I've tried three different girls and honestly their techniques are all so horrible. Ladies, a wax should NOT be this painful. They pull girls in with cheap Groupon deals and honestly you get what you pay for because Brazilians here feel every bit of $6.99 (Or however cheap it is) They don't even hold the skin down while pulling the wax/hair strip off. I've always left here bleeding a little. I thought it was normal And it was just my low pain tolerance (even taking ibuprofen 800 before). But NO! I've gotten my eyebrows threaded and Brazilian waxes here for about an year now. Meenu is very gentle and does an excellent job with my Brazilians. She also always asks if you need a break. The chocolate wax has been excellent for skin. I've tried hard wax at another location before and my experience was terrible. If you have never tried the chocolate wax it is a must ! It's a huge salon with many chairs and customer service was pretty good. There was a bit of a slight language barrier and I know nothing about lashes to be helpful so I didn't get the shape I wanted but I got their "regular" extensions for $20, not the mink ones for $80 and I couldn't tell the difference between these regular ones and the mink ones I've gotten at other salons. I was told not to get them wet for 2 days and they'd last three weeks. I am currently a week in and only two have fallen out. They still look full and beautiful. They have a loyalty program that I use to get a free eyebrow threading every few services. Great value. But baby, that chocolate bikini wax.... very painful. If you plan on getting a wax there, go with the more expensive hard wax option because the chocolate wax had me calling in pain and I'm someone with a relatively high pain tolerance. I read all of the reviews and figured that this place knew what they were doing; however, based on my experience, I am now convinced that all of the good reviews are from friends and family. I gave the instruction to keep my eyebrows thick as I had been growing them out for quite some time and left with two uneven brows. To compensate for the uneven structure of my brows, I was told that I could get them tinted to "fill in the gaps." The "tint" made my eyebrows look as if they were painted on. They were extremely unnatural looking and I immediately asked for the tint to be wiped off. I was only charged 6 bucks for the eyebrows since clearly I was unhappy..... If you are in a rush then check this place out; however, if you care about what your brows/face will look like after, I would find a place that uses better products and knows what they are doing. I can't complain too much because it was only a $6 eyebrow threading....clearly, you get what you pay for. I would rather pay more to ensure that my eyebrows come out as they should. read more

This was a TERRIBLE experience. I came for a Brazilian wax and underarm wax like I normally do. The lady I normally do it with was busy so I had the other lady do it (she's short, has a nose ring, I dont know her name). I told her I had a Groupon and she said ok and I should try the sugar wax because it hurts less, so I said ok. 1. That was painful as F*** on a scale of 1-10 it was an 11 and it's never been that painful. I don't know if it was because she was ripping it so hard or if the sugar/chocolate makes a difference. And she was laughing each time she ripped it when I screamed. This definitely was not funny because it was painful to me, I even told her I don't find it funny it hurts. She just said it will be over soon. 2. I did the chocolate under my arms it was the same pain 3. When it was time to pay she charged full price and I told her what about my Groupon? Since I did the sugar wax it was full price, but she knew I had the Groupon and didn't tell me it was a difference in pricing, she lead me to believe I could do either or. She should have let me know if I want to do the sugar it would be full pricing. I would have just stuck to the chocolate wax because they both hurt like hell. 4. I've been coming here for about 3 years, and never had a problem with the Brazilian waxing. I go in on Thursday 12/22 and the young lady who normally takes care of me is not in. An Asian lady takes care of me. During the waxing, she uses a lot of baby powder. Now, I know that they use baby powder on the outside of your vaginal area, but she puts a lot of powder inside of me. I so badly wanted to like this place. It's close to my home, and I needed to up my personal maintenance game. The person who did my eyebrows was doing a total rush job. She had someone waiting in the waxing room and kept yelling "Be right there!! I'm coming!" while threading my brows. Right away I knew this was going to be bad. I can't even begin to describe the horror and panic I felt when I saw my eyebrows in the mirror after one of the ladies finished threading. My eyebrows were literally 1/3 thinner. They were uneven, awkwardly shape. Another lady took one look at my eyebrows and immediately said she would fix it. THAT'S how bad my brows are.
