I had to turn back around and drive another 3.5 hrs back home. She did not even say "let's use your deposit towards another future class" or "Let ne refund your deposit gif such an inconvenience " I found her to be greedy and not understanding of the situation at all. You also need to bring all of your own supplies. Meaning not just your machine but pigments and needles. So be prepared to carry everything from your work into Brooklyn, walk a distance and lug it up mara it's to a studio without an elevator (which I also inquired about). Sign up at your own discretion. I rarely leave bad reviews but feel the professionalism could have went above and beyond. If she was willing to send a deposit back I most likely would have visited for other trainings. One day, I was running in the park and fell forward. I ended up bitting my lip so hard that it left a mark. Fast forward 15 years and theres still a scar lining of my top tooth. I followed Christine on Instagram, she was one of the few I found who looked super legit and was super open and honest on her page. My first appointment was in October 2020 I went to get my lashes done and it was super last minute decision of mine but she got me in! Off the bat, she was super nice and super honest with me. Going into this, I knew I had sensitive eyes and I let her know in advance. She warned me that tearing can impact the results and I agreed because I wanted to give it a try. I teared a bit but the results were so worth it. The lashes lasted me sooo long and gave me so much life, I knew I couldn't go anywhere else. Fast forward a bit, I became a student model for two ladies that were learning from Christine. As a student model, listening in on how detailed and specific she was made me feel less worried. They were able to conceal my scar, they did a great job with Christine's help. Fast forward a few months later I had my touch up and lashes done as I knew my birthday was coming up the next month. Christine did my touch up with a brighter a bolder color which I loved and my lashes came out amazing as usual. Fair warning, I don't suggest doing two services at once if you can't lay flat for a long time. Christine was very accommodating and allowed me to stretch between sessions. She evened out my Cupid's bow and concealed the scar even more so it wasn't noticeable anymore. The healing process was pretty quick. I started peeling within the 3rd day and was fully peeled by the 6th day. My lips looked amazing, as a girl that is shy with pictures because of my lip insecurity, it felt GREAT! I went to Disney after they healed. A lady had complimented me and wanted to know my trick on how my lipstick stayed so perfect as I was eating. I was so in shock as that's never happened. I was so excited to share Christine's Instagram and explain the process. I can't wait for my next session with Christine. This was honestly a nightmarish experience. I was very unlucky despite her otherwise supposedly…read moregood reviews & pretty pictures. She couldn't get the design right. After the 3rd redraw, I began to feel really anxious. I wanted to trust her confidence, but I regret not trusting my own gut and walking out. I ended up with brows that looked *nothing* like the few acceptable design options I shared. They were bizarre, blocky and shapeless and exceeded my natural brow lines. (Can share photos for proof if Yelp allows.) The brows were also uneven:asymmetrical. She gaslit me about this and it took a cosmetic doctor to validate the obvious. It is also a lie that is it "semi" perm. Any doctor will tell you it is perm. I nearly had a nervous breakdown about disliking my face when I previously enjoyed my face and only wanted to enhance my beauty (not destroy it). When I used to do my own brows, I'd get complements all the time, but I never got any complements on her work. I also paid 100 for a lash lift. It did absolutely *nothing*. It was a complete waste of money. When I said something, she dismissed my concern on the premise that too much time had passed. (Personally, I don't think that should really have mattered much given how many disappointing experiences I had.) Matters got worse. I wanted to have the brows fixed. She did saline removal. *She insisted on going *deeper* so I wouldn't have to come back again.* That is *NOT* what you're supposed to do because it can cause scarring. I ended up with a permenant scar on one side of my face *and* not all the ink was even removed after all that. For months, people were asking me, "what happened to your face?" I was told to see the dermatologist, but it took months to get an appointment only to be told they couldn't even treat me, and that I would need to pay out of pocket to see a costly cosmetic specialist dermatologist to fix it.(She wasn't even professional enough to know what kind of doctor to tell me to see, so I wasted months waiting for the wrong kind of dermatologist.) She insisted saline removal was less damaging but the doctors said otherwise. Unfortunately, after already sinking several 100s, if I wanted it fixed, I'd have to pay a cosmetic dermatologist $800 *per treatment* for tattoo removal and $750 *per treatment* to fix the scarring. After 2 years, I'm still saving up the money to possibly get it all corrected. I feel like I'd pay almost anything at this point just to be happy with my face again. She refunded me for *one* of the removal sessions because of the scarring, but no amount of money could ever make up for the long lasting stress of this experience and having permenant damage to my face. This was a waste of 1000s. It only takes messing up one persons face *once* to leave a mountain of pain and regret. I would consider removing the review for a full refund of services, but otherwise, I think it's important for people to know. If yelp allows photos: Attached are photos right after treatment (when it was still really dark) and 1.5 years after treatment with fading and scarring. The scar was very pink for a long time. Now it is just whitish, elevated, jagged, and obviously different from the color and texture of my natural skin. Im honestly devastated. I'm $1600 deep into the removal process. Can also share photos of myself after my tattoo removal treatment so you can see what I had to go through to remove it.
