I woke up one night with a very painful knot in my neck and no idea what caused it. Days later, when I was still in pain I called the spa out of desperation. Mary saved me! Her massage really reduced my pain, and she found several more knots on the same side. She clearly knows a lot about the body. Days later, I am feeling much better. I'll definitely be back! I price was reasonable, and she texted me a few days later to check on up how I was feeling. read more

Mary was wonderful! Such a clean, quiet location. She payed attention to exactly what was bothering me and made sure al knots were gone! Will definitely be going back ! read more

Surprisingly good! For the price of what you get, it's a good mix of being on the cheaper side with a little bit of spa feel to it. Coming in here, it is a little off putting to see that each room is separated from the hallway by curtain instead of a door. Only a slight issue, and luckily it didn't interfere with my massage here but I could see when it is busy and more than two people are here, the sounds would really take you away from the spa feeling. But beyond that: the massage was good. The person performing the massage gave a good amount of pressure which I really enjoyed: I'm very used to getting deep tissue massages and she did a very good job overall. At first I was concerned thinking she was only going to be giving a massage over a towel - but luckily once she got into putting the massage oil on, she really got into all the knots I had in my body. The place is clean, a bit on the no frills side but overall this place is dependable for a good strong massage! read more

My favorite and go to place for massages and facials. Mary is such an amazing and wonderful woman and esthetician. I'm a nurse who stands on my feet for 12 hour days and her massage is the only one that gets out knots and tension making my body feel limber again. For facials, she uses her natural products which leaves my skin glowing for days after I see her. It's such a pleasure to see her and I highly recommend anyone try her services. Scheduling is easy with just a phone call. You're in your own little oasis in her store because she does one client at a time. I'm such a huge fan I love coming to her. I see a difference in my body and skin ever since coming here. For COVID precautions, she is extremely clean! Masks, hand sanitizer and hand washing galore. I know safety isn't compromised here. read more

This is a very professional and super clean environment. Truly wonderful, restorative, quiet and peaceful. Highly educated in reflexology and pressure-points.I have been going for acupressure massage therapy for years. Very accommodating but long list of loyal clients so it's best to set up an appointment by phone first! read more

Mary is the BEST! Hers was the first facial I ever got that was not uncomfortable or irritating to my sensitive skin. (And no painful extractions, thanks to lots of steam and her stone rolling treatment!) She is not only an expert esthetician but is also warm, inviting and pleasant. I also appreciate her wide knowledge base about natural health & wellness; she has given me wonderful advice that has proven a Godsend for my skin's overall glow and wellness. Five+ stars, highly recommended. :) read more

Mary's Sunny Spa is my go to place for affordable and quality bodywork. Mary's place is spotless and she is always very personable and professional. Have you ever walked into a place and slowly backed out? That won't happen here! Her spa has beautiful decor and is very serene. My first time there I went in with various aches and pains and she recommended I see a doctor immediately. Now I don't go to the doctor very often, but she was right on the money, as it turned out I had strep! How she knew I have no idea but I've been going to her since. She's knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. Be sure to give her a visit! read more

I recently made an appointment for my boyfriend. I called at the last minute, but was able to get an appointment anyway. My boyfriend was in a car accident within the past year and often has pain from his injuries. Mary gave him a great massage using a Chinese deep muscle massage and even asked what areas she should focus on when I called to make the appointment. He came back feeling a lot better and can't wait to go back again. read more

I haven't been able to see my chiropractor for several weeks. I haven't had a fabulous massage in months. I seriously needed my neck and knee pains to go away. I was desperate, as I wasn't able to lift my right arm because of the very tremendous pain in my neck. If fact, I was in pain from my right ear all the way down to my right calf. I searched Yelp and found Mary's Sunny Spa. I walked in without an appointment and my intentions were to gather information and make an appointment. I was seen right away because there was an opening. Thank goodness. Mary took a look at my face and knew I was in pain. Once I mentioned my neck, she immediately found the spot. The massage was awesome and my pains basically went away. I will be returning in two weeks for another massage. Thank you Mary. read more

I'm really lucky to have found Mary. I had been looking for a good massage therapist in Bay Ridge (without the insane prices associated with the big spa names here) and have been to her with different injuries and general body fatigue. She asked me about what was bothering me and my general health, then went to work. She is thorough, effective and has unparalleled intuition for the female body and sources of pain. Both times I've gone so far, she has been very receptive to exactly what I needed. She was able to give me the experience of a comfortable, relaxing massage while applying extra care and strength to the problem areas I was working with. She's very knowledgeable about how to tackle the root causes of disharmony in the body and was super generous in sharing a bunch of recommendations with me about how to move forward. A fantastic holistic healer and obviously truly cares about her clients. She's quick to respond to appointment inquiries, her facility is clean, comfortable and serene and she herself is warm and kind. Highly recommend. As a woman, wouldn't go to anyone else. read more

I frequently go for massage, trying out many different massage places in NYC and I can confidently say, this is the BEST massage place I've ever frequented in years! (I will include the price information I found out shortly). I came here on a Sunday at around 3PM where a lovely lady did the massage on me and I can totally tell she is experienced and knows what she is doing. I do not have to tell her my problem areas, do not have to breathe a single word to her and she worked her magic on me. They are experienced licensed massage therapist and they know where the problem areas are just by feeling it. The pressure was just right, the places they worked on my body were spot on - how could I tell? The moment the pressure was applied on a particular spot, I felt relief immediately. One of the ways I can tell if a massage is good is falling asleep. I wasn't tired when I came in for the massage but it was so comfortable and relaxing I found myself falling asleep halfway throughout the process. The place is clean, fresh and neat with nice wooden floors. I highly recommend this place for a well deserved massage! This place is worth every penny! Price list (According to the signage in the rooms): 45 mins $45 60 mins $55 90 mins $80 120 mins $100 read more

Just finished getting a 50 minute couples massage, and it is absolutely worth it. My back and shoulder pain after a stressful week and workouts are gone. Highly recommend them. Call ahead, make an appointment, you won't regret it ! read more

Mary is a true healer. I went to her place randomly one night because I live around the corner and had a painful crick in my neck. I couldn't even turn my head to the side- I would have to turn my whole body if I wanted to look next to me. After just 30 minutes I could move my neck and had the best sleep of my life! I now try to go every other month. I find myself thinking about her now that we're in quarantine and I have the most painful knot in my back and can't do anything about it lol. There are many things to look forward to once things are back to normal but one of those things for me is being able to go back to Mary! Hope she is doing well during this time read more

Came here with my mom and aunts. We all had different masseuses and agreed that each was amazing! They are all professionals and made sure that we were comfortable throughout the whole thing. The beds and rooms are clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Mary, the owner, also knows her stuff and is open to talking over your problem areas. We will all definitely be returning for more massages. read more

My partner and I went for a couples massage this afternoon. We chose Mary's Sunny Spa from the great Yelp reviews and they didn't disappoint. Very nice location, clean and relaxing. We both appreciate strong massage to really get at those knots, and both of our girls did a great job. Very pleased, and we will definitely be back soon! Awesome to have this so close to home in Bay Ridge! read more

I went in today without an appointment and they took me right in. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and listened to me when I told them what areas I wanted more pressure on. It was my first visit at Mary's and I had a full hour body massage. Great place and I will be returning! read more

I've had severe pain around my shoulder area for a few weeks and I figured I'd try for a massage today. I called last minute and managed an appointment. The establishment had amazing reviews so I knew it was going to be good but it was WAY more than that. Mary is absolutely incredible, has hands of an angel and the best energy! I left today feeling like I made a new friend and with absolutely no shoulder pain. Will be back for as long as I live in Brooklyn. read more

Was in desperate need of a good massage due to the fact that I had neck and lower back pain. I called this place last minute, spoke to Mary and asked if they could fit me in for a 90 minute massage and she said to come in in a half and hour. So I went in and Mary (the owner) greeted me and quickly lead me to a massage room for my massage. I explained my areas of pain and I also mentioned about the strength of the massage that I need. She was very professional in her approach and very knowledgeable in reflexology. The first half hour she targeted my areas of pain to release the knots she found in the muscle areas. The rest of the massage was the full body massage and it was the best massage I have ever had! Her knowledge was felt throughout the massage as well as her explanation of the areas where she targeted to release the tense muscles. She used to work in Manhattan and since she lives here she opened this place for convenience and boy I am so glad for that! BTW her pricing is great as well. I plan to recommend her to my friends at the gym who are always looking for a good massage for all of those muscles we work had at getting!!! Thank you once again Mary for releasing the pain in my body!!! I will be back again!!! read more

Mary's Sunny Spa is so nice and clean. Mary is amazing and so welcoming. I highly recommend a visit here for a medical massage and see for yourself. I have not had a good hard pressure massage in a long time. read more

Mary's sunny spa is wonderful!! I found it through Yelp and needed a last minute appointment. I made an appointment for a one hour deep tissue massage as I was having severe pain and had seen a nurse practitioner who recommended a massage. When I walked in Mary very friendly. I told her what had brought me in and while I was still standing she felt my back and immediately targeted where the problem was (mind you - it had been preventing me from laying comfortably on my back for 2 weeks). After about 15 minutes that problem was gone and I realized how much my legs had been bothering me. Mary worked attentively to relieve problem areas that had been there so long I had just become accustomed to them. I extended my massage by 30 minutes and when I was done bought myself a gift card and plan on going back in two weeks. It was definitely the best massage of my life - and I'm used to overly expensive spa prices. The pricing is so affordable that I'll be able to indulge in this often! Very good find -- very good massage therapist! read more
