I took my teenager who was struggling with acne for consultation with Olga. She immediately gave him a facial and taught him proper facial cleaning etiquette. She spent almost 2 hours with him. Explained all the steps and what she was actually doing to his face, including the reasons why. She treated him with the Blue Light treatment and again explained and educated my son on the benefits of the light, the facials, and the cleaning after the treatments. Olga is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. After visiting a dermatologist over and over again I saw no results BUT with Olga and her expertise results were immediate. I had a facial some weeks ago and my skin has only gotten progressively worse since then. I regret the waste of time and money at Olga's. She barely did extractions (except on my nose, which is useless because one can easily remove her own blackheads there). The best esthetician i ever saw was in Russia, so i hoped that she'd use similar method (lots of manual extractions!!!). But she didn't. Don't be fooled by the long appointment times.. it's NOT because her facials are in such high demand. It's because she is the only one working in her "spa" and does everything, from facials to nails. I have been visiting Olga's salon for about 2 years now, my first time was for a brazilian and wow!! the best brazilian wax ever, she is amazing and it was painless. She is just a professional woman that knows how to handle and manage her business in a friendly and attentive way. After my brazilian wax I decided to try a facial, and my face was so thankful, she uses but the best products and as she is applying she kindly explains you what the product is for the benefits and features....I do the microdemabrasion and laser hair removal. I really did not like Olga at all. The first time i went to see her, Her demeanor was so dry, did not even let out half of a smile. I thought maybe because she just doesn't know me. I gave it a second chance but there was no use. She also charged me extra the second time i saw her for the same exact service she provided the first time. I tried smiling and saying hello without being extra, just to at least break the awkwardness she exudes, but she was just too awkward. I don't know if she prefers to deal with only certain types of customers or what her story is. Also, it seemed like she was advising me in a way to benefit her, telling me all the things i need to get done and bashing the way other beauticians do things "in America". Just had my full Brazilian done by Ms. Olga- it was painless! I don't think I have ever experienced that and I've been many places including Red Door in Manhattan. She is very attentive and not only was it painless but very very thorough. I feel so clean. lol! The price is very very reasonable - less than $50. I am really happy to have found her and the place. My skin isn't problematic, but she still finds a bunch of junk I didn't even see myself. I'm beyond impressed! Also, the massage at the end is amazing. I wish I had known Olga back when I suffered from severe acne. I also get my eye lashes tinted here. Perfect black lashes for 1/4 the price I used to pay at my prior place! I just left my first facial appointment with Olga, I have had facials before but never with her until today. The salon was very clean and comfortable. Olga and the receptionist were very kind and professional. They greeted me by name when I walked in. I was early so Olga was finishing up with another client when I walked in. They talked playfully so it was a friendly environment to walk in to. The facial I received was thorough and Olga talked me through every step. I had initially requested a hydra facial but Olga had determined that my skin would benefit more from a basic facial (I liked that she did what was best for my skin even though it was the slightly cheaper option). My skin currently looks as it would usually look immediately after a facial, a little inflamed and red but actually much less than any other facial I have received. I look forward to seeking how my skin will look in one week. I would absolutely recommend Olga to a friend and I look forward to trying more of her services in the future! I came here for my first bikini wax based on the reviews. I arrived promptly for my appointment but still had to wait for at least 15mins....no biggie. I was pretty anxious anyway since it was my first time. The actual waxing was not good. I don't know if it's just her way but I didn't find Olga to be super friendly, in fact she wasn't very friendly at all. In her defense she wasn't mean either just indifferent. So she waxes and I feel as though she is going a bit beyond the point bikini. I explained that I booked for a bikini only not a brazilian. Olga did realize that I was psuper nervous and offered me a glass of wine...( It did help to take the edge of a bit because I did'nt sip it. I just downed it). The place was super clean however because of my nervousness I didn't pay attention and never realized if she was double dipping. Also she made me bleed. If you want a superior wax go to THE WAX ROOM in brooklyn. Hands down a much better experience and NO DOUBLE DIPPING. Also the place is immaculate.
