What a pleasant surprise! My friend and I walked in on a Saturday morning looking for manicures. We quickly realized the spot is more so for facials and massages than nails, but that was OK. MK has a beautiful interior and the employees were all friendly. We both decided to get an hour massage and manicures. I received a gel manicure. It took about 40 minutes to remove my gel, give me a manicure and apply French gel. I am happy with my nails. My friend received a regular manicure and said it was good too! Next, our massages. What a surprise! They have private rooms where you change and lay on the massage bed. My hour long session was amazing. My masseuse stretched me and rubbed me down really well. I arrived on time and my room was ready for me w/ a fresh candle and everything . I waited about 15 min for Jason to come in . He stepped out several times so my total massage time was reduced . The massage wasn't bad until he decided to stretch me and crack my neck at the end after which I have been walking around sore for 3 days now . I went for a massage and i called for an appointment and he said yes yes we are available i go in and they don't have woman's available for massage they don't ask what kind of massage you want they just take you to room and start working. No prior agreement for what type of massage. And our preference of gender. Which is very important. I am not a difficult costumer if I ask questions or want clarification. I love this massage place they are my go to spot. Everything is perfect the cleanliness is always on point, I am never waiting they are always running on time, the room is always cozy and dimmed. They play relaxing music and have a heater in each room ready in case you get cold. They offer a special deal if you buy 6 hours you get one free so for 33$ an hour you can't go wrong I usually just pay via Venmo so it's so convenient , my favorite is Kevin or amy. Only gave 1 stars because massage was okay. They demanded an additional 10 dollar tip on top of what I gave. They didn't let us leave the salon with out giving one. This is extremely rude. They need to work on their customer service. In addition it was written on the door that first time visitors would receive 20% off, but the spa refused to give it. My husband and I went for massages at this salon for the first time this afternoon. We each booked two hours and gave generous tips, which amounted to 20% of the total. There was a man at the register and I paid for our massages and told him I wanted to tip the women who provided the services. He said it was very busy and to leave the tip with him and he would give it to them. When I gave him the tip, he insisted it wasn't enough and demanded $20 more. I was surprised and uncomfortable, as other customers were looking at us, and felt intimidated so I gave the $20. However, I am upset that I was extorted out of an extra $20 and will demand that this money be returned. There are so many massage studios in the area who will be happy with a 20% tip and where the women won't be talking to each other during a couples massage despite being requested to be quiet so that we could relax. I appreciate that the women worked hard and deserved a nice tip, which I gave them. However, the customer service is very poor and it is not appropriate to blackmail clients into giving larger tips than they choose to. read more
