The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable with close attention to detail. It was my first time getting a gel manicure so I wasn't sure about what I wanted exactly but they were able to provide suggestions which ended up better than I could have imagined. The salon was also thoroughly cleaned after each client and being that this was the first time since pre-pandemic that I had visited a nail salon, I felt completely comfortable. Never again! 1st visit, I was put in a pedicure chair and left waiting 25 minutes while workers were standing around. I then got the quickest pedicure ever, ignoring my ingrown toenails. 2nd chance..I went with a friend who was getting a pedicure. I only needed a manicure. They put polish remover on my nails, wrapped to remove a gel manicure. She didn't put much remover on. She left me waiting until my friend was finished. Then broke three of my nails trying to scrape off the polish, because there wasn't enough remover. She proceeded to cut every nail to balance out. She cut so short it hurts. There is no white to my nails left. I said I now had no time for polish, just buff. She charged me full price even though I had no polish, AND $5 extra for taking off the old polish. Most places charge $2 for that! I said that was too much, she would only repeat $5. read more

Since I have decent nail beds (wide), I have always asked the salon stylist to make my nails thin and of course... none could've done a better job than this place! I used to love this place and come frequently but this time they rushed me and one of the workers got aggravated with me and was pushing for me to give more tip than I gave-even suggesting for me to use my credit card after asking me once and me not being able to since I didn't have more cash in me. Young girl that was doing my nails was rude. Every time I was asking her questions she was answering in frustration. After they were speaking in Chinese probably discussing my questions. Do they know that it's unethical to speak different language in front of a client?. Then when time came to pay they charged me more than they said in the beginning and were insisting on the tips. Came here on a Monday afternoon and showed my manicurist a picture of gradient nails that I wanted. Was quoted a price of $25 plus $10 for the gradient effect. She immediately got to work and picked the perfect colors for me to create that beautiful look. The outcome was amazing and I can't stop obsessing over it! Great work! In addition, the staff here are really professional and truly knows what customer service is all about. They greet you and remember you even if it meant you visited more than 6 months ago and made me feel really welcome. I really like that aspect! I can not say enough good things about this nail salon. Clean, accommodating, friendly staff & excellent service. I've been coming here for about 5 months so this review is long over due. My most recent visit was on October 24, 2016. I asked for tips with the organic gel manicure which is a powered dip. My nails are very bad & weak- my gel manicures normally last around 10 days. After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a chance. I will NEVER go back again. I had a manicure and pedicure the lady cut my toenails too short than decided to file them down which caused me pain. After I told her she stopped I have never experienced this is my life and have pedicures often. During the manicure she decides to take a dirty scissor from her cabinet to cut my cuticles, I told her I did not want that scissor used on me. I tipped her after all her mistakes and she did not offer to help me to put on my shoes. Stopped by for three manicures on Saturday and the lovely Anna accommodated my sister and I while my best friend was taken care of by another kind technician! I have to say, this was by far one of the cleanest salons I've visited in New York while on vacation and I will definitely return! I love going to this salon. They are very clean and the environment is so friendly. Massages during the mani/pedis are wonderful- you'll want to get an extra 10 minutes! Prices are very fair. As another reviewer said, there are a million places like this in a five block radius. I had walked into two that I knew and they both had a half hour wait. So I walked into this place and they took me right away. I should have waited. The person who gave me the pedicure chopped into my nails so carelessly that she gave me a horrible and painful ingrown nail. Just for good measure she took to my foot with the callous remover like it was a cheese grater and my foot was a chunk of parmigiano. Stay away. But anyways I got a manicure and pedicure by them 4-5 days ago and my nails still look fabulous(considering I work with my hands a lot)! I believe the owner greeted me when I first entered and she was super nice, she had me seated at the massage chair and feet soaking while I wait for my manicurist. Best gel manicure I've ever gotten!! Anytime I get a gel manicure it does not last past 3 days without chipping. Not here, my gel manicure lasted two weeks thanks to Susan.
